It was a nightmare... too many problems to fit in 3000 characters. We were told it would take 1 week to finish (plus 1-2 weeks for the countertops to be installed). It was over two months before enough work was finished that we could move back, and in total it took over 6 months for everything to be completed! Major Problems: Frequent no shows: we were told someone would be there and no one would come. If we called, we were told they were running late. After they still didn't show up we'd call again and be given a lame excuse. In the worst instance, this happened on a day when we'd arranged to have the water in our line (affecting 10 other apartments as well) shut off - the plumber was a no show. This happened many, many times. At first, they?d just reschedule for a day or two later; but later it would take a week or more for some to be able to come back. We?d often go for days without any work at all being done. Our electrician couldn't install simple electrical outlets properly. In one case he installed an external electrical box for our range outlet that blocked the range for fitting in flush (and the range was sitting three feet from the outlet when he did this!). In another case he installed three external electrical junction boxes to fit in one outlet (two in a closet and one in the kitchen itself)? it was so ugly that we hired a 3rd party electrician to install it properly (he just ripped out everything they?d done and installed in properly without any boxes). Our kitchen cabinetry wasn?t installed level (it was on new flooring they installed, so no excuse) which resulted in a side panel along the dishwasher not fitting correctly. It took my own investigation to figure this out ? they thought the side panel was the wrong size at first and waited 4 weeks for a new part to arrive first). Instead of reinstalling the cabinets and countertops to make them level I agreed to let them put in a wood shim to hold the side panel in place-even this took them three tries to get right. The damage a lot of cabinetry while installing it, including some shelves, doors, and a bathroom cabinets I had order myself (they damaged it when trying to install in a flush mount mirror, not realizing that it was just a storage cabinet). The final straw was trying to charge $1000 extra for the cost of crown molding on the kitchen cabinets. (Mind you, they didn?t mention this cost until several months after the cabinets had been ordered, paid for, and installed). The estimator who had assured us that the molding was included and that we wouldn?t be nickel-and-dimed for additional cost turned nasty when we talked to him again, and told us he had forgotten our project details (it had been many months at this point) and that only the contract mattered. So we stuck to the price in the contract (which didn?t list details about the cabinets either way) and refused to pay the extra money. Bottom Line: avoid Sentry Builders at all costs!

First very professional from the sale point, however completion date was given 10 day time frame (took over 30 days). Demolition, header and insulation were installed on time. Drywall was not installed until two weeks after demo (multiple days passed with no work done). First project manager did not respond to our concerns about completion time Project manager was unprofessional to spouse and was requested to be replaced. The original project manager took over. The company made two errors in ordering the flooring, causing a larger delay in the completion of the project. Final drywall sanding was not complete until almost 3 weeks after it was installed, and after the new flooring was installed. Floor was poorly installed, too tightly installed to walls, was corrected at a later date, however now there are spaces between some planks. Overall workmanship on drywall was very good, molding good, floors poor. Did apologize for delay and admitted errors.

THIS COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB PUTTING ON OUR NEW ROOF. THE ROOF WAS ABLE TO WITHSTAND THE BAD RAIN WE HAD. THE ROOFERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED.

SENTRY BUILDERS ARE EXCELLENT! THE WORKMEN WERE PROFESSIONAL, KIND, VERY CONSIDERATE AND VERY HARD WORKERS. THEY MADE SURE THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED ON THE ASSIGNED DATE.
