The storm uprooted a tree on our property. I called and asked them to get in touch with me but never got any response from them. I called several other times, a month later, and begged for help and they never got back to me. Update 4/15/13- Kens response is inaccurate. On 12/7/11 Ken came to my Huntington home for non storm tree removal. I never did business with him in my second Bay Shore home. The five times that I called Ken I clearly identified myself, my address and the fact that he had done work the previous year. He choose not to call me back five times.

They made sure not to make any damage to the fence next door and my fence. They also did a good job of cleanup after the cut the tree down.

On Saturday Kenneth the owner called updating me when his crew would be at our home, and followed up when they would be at our home within 1/2 hour. Kevin and 2 other workers had the tree down and cleaned up within an hour. The stump will be removed in approximately a week,depending on the storm . Kenneth called again asking me how the job went to which I told him I was completely satisfied. He also said he would call and let me know when they were coming to remove stump. I used a $25.00 coupon from Angie's list towards the payment when the estimate was given. I could'nt be more satisfied with K & A Tree service and would highly recommend them. B. Mastriano

I think they did a great job. They came as scheduled; they did the project very quickly and very well. The whole thing was done in two days. The first day they took the tree down and the second day they did the stump grinding. So I was very satisfied with the work they did and also the price was good as well. I think they were very professional but friendly. I was surprised how quickly they actually got the work done. The manager was helpful and he answered some questions for me about what to do with the remaining materials that were left over after the tree was brought down and the stump grinding like the dirt and the wood chips. So they kind of explained to me what to do with that. Actually I was really surprised that they did not take that away. That would be the only thing I would mention is that, I do not know whether it is customary or not in this business, we had a large amount of debris from the tree stump grinding that they just basically said to leave in place for a couple of weeks and turn them to mulch. So I had to round it all up taking it and redistribute it around all the bushes in front of the house. My gardener said that it was fine, it was not a big deal but it would be nice if I did not have to do that. That was the only thing that really surprised me a lot. On the whole I think they did a very good job. Overall I was happy with everything. The pickup of the remaining stuff wasn’t a big deal since I re-used it as mulch. The only thing I suggest again for them is to offer the consumer with the stump grinding, particularly that piece of the job which was done on the second day, the option to remove all of the debris as part of the price. Some people I think would have a problem with it sitting there. They said it wasn’t a big deal, just to leave it there, for some settling of the ground. But I can see that some people would not want to have all that stump grinding with wood chips sitting on the front lawn. , I would say that would be my only recommendation to provide that as part of the service. The reason that they gave me was that the ground was going to settle. If they took away all that extra material it would be like a depression, or a hole in the ground. But on the other hand if it is left there it is hard to plant any grass because it is all these wood chips as such is dirt. One has to take that away, put bags of dirt there and then plant seeds to really be effective. That would be what I would recommend to be included in their services. Taking away the wood chips, putting in the mulch or dirt and then planting seeds so it looks like a complete solution to somebody.

We called K& A to have a large tree removed from our backyard. Callback was prompt and he arrived as scheduled to give us an estimate. Ken was accommodating in rescheduling several times over a seven-week period due to LIPA's runaround as to when they would appear to remove limbs overhanging the electric wires. Ken arrived the day after LIPA left, did the work promised, and cleaned the area when finished.I would highly recommend K&A and definitely use them again.

Fabulous. Ken stopped by for an estimate and then had his guys come back in an hour to do the work. They took out all of the dead branches plus a few other unhealthy branches. He was negotiable on the already fair price. And they cleaned up the fallen leaves. I would definitely use them again.

Ken took about a week from the time of the estimate to complete the work, which was fine because he took care of it while I was at work. He did everything that we paid him for efficiently and left no mess behind for us. Just the kind of contractor I like to work with. I would absolutely recommend his company and will use them again in the future

I called K & A Tree Service and the owner, Ken Zacconi, called me back within an hour and was at my house the same day. He gave me an estimate and returned to do the work a few days later. He arrived on time with a team of men, trucks and equipment. Everyone was friendly and professional. They cut the tree down, chopped it up and cleaned up everything.
