With respect to this simply being a pool opening; it went awful. We've previously used services from the pool company who installed our pool to open and close the pool the past 2 years, and decided to give a local company a chance to build a service relationship for our pool. What a mistake that was! With Nick Donadio it's hit or miss with his quality. We used him in the fall to close the pool, and he personally did the work. We were satisfied and decided to allow him to open the pool. Well this time it wasn't he doing the work; it was another crew, and they don't have interest in the quality of work he seemed to have. What occurred was the main pump not plugged into correct switched outlet, Polaris booster pump not plugged in at all and it's cord laying in the mud, the salt generator not even energized (so they didn't check to see it's operating status), a huge amount of leaves literally dumped into the pool as they removed the cover, as well as the mess left on the paving stone around the pool, the pool cover pump and it's hose thrown into the garden and left there for us to coil up. Cleaning up the leaves from the bottom of the pool has strained my wife's arm, and now she has to see a doctor. When I called Nick, he really didn't seem to care, and he used one excuse after another to kind of chalk it up to that's what happens when you open a pool. Well to hear that kind of rhetoric with no apology whatsoever, leaves me to think that his service standards completely reflect on the crews that work for him, and we will never use his services again. In fact, we will steer folks away from using Donadio Pools in the future. For the record, that's not what happens when you open the pool because the service I used before did everything right; they never got a call from me about quality, and they never made disclaimers after the fact. To say we are unsatisfied is an understatement. Anyone listening, do yourself a favor; pay more/get more, pay less/get less is absolutely true in this case. If I could get a refund, I would. Rest assured, his service relationship with us ended with his utter un-interest in addressing our concerns.
