After several years going back in forth in our decision about installing central air, my husband and I decided to pull the trigger. We had 5 different companies come to the house to give us an estimate for an installation. Wever Petroleum was terrific to work with. They came within a few days of our calling for an appointment, looked over the job from top to bottom and gave us an estimate within a day or two. Their bid was very fair, the installers were courteous, and efficient and at the end of the day, everything was cleaned up to the point, you didn't even know they had been in the house. We have had the central air for two weeks now and are loving it. I would highly recommend that you give Wever a chance to give you a bid. I know we are very happy with this company.

Everything was relatively smooth until the day of the appointment. The appointment was scheduled for 10 oclock. Jason Zoller (the sales rep who came to give us the estimate) came to the house early, (930 he said) and proceeded to leave before 10 oclock. He called me at approximately 10:15 to tell me that he had been at the house, and that nobody was there, and that he had more important business clients on his list. I explained to him that the house was in dire need of heat, his response was to tell me that his company would not be able to do anything for us until, at the earliest, December 11th. He made it a point to tell me that attaining the parts was not the issue, but that he could not spare the labor due to more pressing jobs. He then gave me the name of another company, and recommended them do the boiler purchase and installation through them. I sat and thought about what had happened, for 3 hours, and decided based on the recommendation that was given to me (My girlfriends father had a wonderful experience with their company and a year and a half later still have no issues with the boiler they installed, we were looking for the exact unit) I called their office and left a message with the receptionist, who made a very active effort to not obtain any details, she cut me off twice while trying to leave the message that we wanted to accept the proposal. She took only my contact information, for Jason to call me at his earliest convenience. I then imediately sent to his email address my intention to move forward with their service regardless of the delay he mentioned. However, I have not received a response to my email nor phone call. (over 48 hours) I have sense decided to withdraw my intention to use them for fuel supply, boiler purchase and installation. I feel that the treatment we received while attempting to become a customer was beyond unacceptable. I will never use their service.
Description of Work: Called and scheduled an appointment for a boiler estimate (new heating system). They provided me with vague estimates (very condensed with no list of exact items to be provided, but appeared to be all inclusive). I called for another estimate on a heating system that was not in the estimate, and was provided another quote. I called several days later to schedule an appointment to have them bring us fuel tanks, and that we would like them to provide our fuel. (Liquid Propane).

My next incident with Wever, I called 12/6/2007 to have them fill my propane, we scheduled for 12/10/2007, they never showed. I called them on 12/11/2007 to find out why, the receptionist was very rude with me and was arguing with me, then hung up. I told them "don't bother to fill the tank". The next day when I got up at 8am my tank had disappeared, Wever took it without my knowledge. There was still $62 worth of propane in the tank. They left me with no fuel to cook with. I then contacted the Better Business Bureau and we went back and forth with Wever. Wever accused me of yelling with their employee, obviously they don't record their conversations otherwise they would know better, they stated they had trouble locating my account, they say I was agrivated due to the cost in fuel and also that my reibursement for the leftover fuel was in the mail. To this day I still have not received such payment of $62 dollars and their BBB report is blemished. I have since had GA Bove take over by propane business also and have never had a problem.
Description of Work: I began as a customer of Wever Fuel in Jan 2006 as I had just purchased a home. I had them filling the kerosene and propane tanks. The 1st incident happened on March 6, 2007 Wever called my phone and left a message stating they would take away our tanks if payment wasn't received. Turns out, they were trying to charge us for the previous owners bill. My bill would always say "was Smith". (former owner). I then called GA Bove to have them take care of my kerosene . They have been excellent ever since.

I am very pleased with the service I got and glad that I have found a reliable company. The fact that I was not charged for things that I didn't need, (which I had been quoted for by another service company and had nothing to do with what was wrong) made me very happy.
Description of Work: My furnace was misfiring and running rough. I called and got service very quickly. The service man changed filters on a oil furnace and the filter in line. Still misfired so he changed the fuel pump and it still misfired. The service man then cleaned out the line with CO and that did work out great. He replace the old fuel pump because that had not been the problem and was not going to have me pay for something that I didn't need.

IT WAS GOOD, THEY KNOW A LOT MORE ABOUT IT THAN I DO. IF I GET A CONTRACT I THINK I GET LOWER PRICES, BUT I AM NOT ONE TO COMMIT. THEY ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE ANYTIME I NEED THEM, EVEN AT NIGHT.
Description of Work: THEY CLEANED THE FURNACE.

THE PRICE OF THEIR FUEL OIL IS THE SAME AS ANY OTHER PLACE AND MIGHT BE LOWER. THEY'RE GREAT. THEY COME RIGHT AWAY. IF WE CALL, THEY COME THE SAME DAY. THE REPAIR WAS FINE. OUR HEAT WAS NOT COMING ON AND WE THOUGHT IS WOULD BE SOMETHING MAJOR, BUT IT WAS JUST A PROBLEM WITH THE THERMOSTAT.
Description of Work: WE NEEDED THE THERMOSTAT SWITCH TO BE REPLACED, THEY CAME AND FIXED IT RIGHT AWAY. THEY ALSO CLEANED THE FURNACE.
