Description of Work: We've used Kinginsmith for many years, as the people who do the plumbing work to open our summer house before we arrive and close the house when we leave for the fall/winter by draining all pipes and putting in antifreeze. Their service people are very capable and responsive to all requests.

I called Klingensmith's and they assured me that they were busy but would bump me to emergency status since I had no water. A tech arrived in less than an hour and had everything wrapped up within four hours. I found the entire process to be exceptional. From the friendliness of the people at the main office, to the professionalism of the plumber, I am 100% satisfied. Many people like to complain about the cost of plumbing, but for what was done for me and them time that it took, I have no complaints. I will use them again without hesitation.

Description of Work: Responded 6 hours after emergency call. Massive backup of sewage into first floor bathroom. When plummber did arrived problem was accurately diagnosed and efficiently fixed. This was the most recent service provided by this company dating back 25 years, and I did expect a more prompt response. Some of the services have bordered on near-disaster, but on average we have been satisfied enough to stick with this company. Part of that decision is based on the fact that they are the only ones that know their way around in the crawl space under the house and can figure out the jury rigged plumbing system we are stuck with.

+ -1 moreThey were very helpful and took the time to show us everything we needed to know. It was our first time un-winterizing the house so we weren't sure where everything was and they helped us figure it out.
Description of Work: We had them come out and un-winterize a house and help us get the water turned back on.

+ -1 moreI had a problem with my hot water tank - couldn't keep the pilot lit. Julie was more than helpful over the phone. She gave me the manufacturer's technical hot line and they were able to walk me thru several tests and get the unit performing again. She even went so far as to order the part that was malfunctioning, just to have it on hand if it failed again in the future! Now that's service!

+ -1 moreFor all their seasonal customers, Klinginsmith sends a letter in advance asking when you want them to "turn on" your house and whether there's any other work you need done then. I called their office, told them the date, and they put us on their schedule to have the antifreeze drained from our sinks, showers, and toilets, and to reconnect the plumbing to our washing machine and refrigerator. When we arrived, the plumbing was running fine--as it always is with this company.
Description of Work: Klinginsmith (you had wrong spelling) has been doing the seasonal turn-on/turn-off plumbing at our country house for 20 years. They are always prompt and helpful and we've never had any trouble, plus all the people at this company are friendly and very pleasant. Whenever we've had a sudden plumbing problem, they come right away--sometimes within just an hour (they're located nearby). They also do electrical work and put up all the ceiling fans in our house. No complaints, ever!
