I had a ductless air conditioning system put in April 2022, used it for five months during the air conditioning season. When I went to turn it on June of this year 2023 the air conditioning did not work. I called the company up. They told me I was out of warranty And refused to make an appointment with me to see what the problem was. They blew me off because they were going on vacation. I called someone else and they told me there was a leak in the system due to the installation that was done, and not as a result of a manufacturer defect in the product. I sent them an email letting them know how disappointed I was that just because there was a one year warranty they should’ve had the courtesy to come out and check the problem with their installation. I would never recommend this company to anybody. When I hired them to do the work, they told us how great they were, and how they took care of their customers, well, apparently they don’t take care of their customers. Once they get your money that’s it they’re done .

We worked with R&N on our central air conditioning installation. When we called them again to switch our heating system they became non existent. My husband and I have contacted this company on multiple occasions in various methods and they are completely unprofessional. They have made appointments for estimates and have never shown/called. They will not return phone calls or emails. So disappointed I supported a local small business like theirs.

Hired R&N to install central air in November 2019. Call him in the Spring of 2020 to turn on the air conditioner and Rob starts blaming our electrician (who was in the house rehabbing our electrical in our bathroom at the same time as Rob) saying that he never ran a power line to the central air unit. So Rob essentially left the job, collected his money, without ever checking to make sure the unit has power or that it even worked! He specifically requested the electrician to be present when he installed the AC, which he was. However, he never checked to make sure the electrician ran the correct wiring to turn on HIS unit. When I called him this month to turn on the air, he told me it wasn't his problem and that I needed to call the electrician and then proceeded to hang up on me! Very nice guy when he's writing the contract and collecting his payment, but completely unprofessional when he messes up. Too busy chasing contracts than taking care of his current client base. RUN!

They were quick in and out. The next week I smelled gas. They told me its highly unlikely but will come anyway. They came and said there was no gas leak, despite the smell. The next week I coincidentally had an energy assessor from PSEG come out. They had a device that can detect gas leaks and it showed a leak. R&N finally came back to fix it but were very upset at having to come back and very rude. A year later, there is some rust on the new pipes they put in and residue all over the burner box. I have been trying for over a week just to get an appointment, but they said its not an emergency and will call me back to reschedule. This is the worst customer service at least make an appointment, whether it be next week or 3 weeks from now. I have a meaningless 2 year warranty with a company that does not stand by their product. If you install with them, dont expect them to follow through if you have problems later.

I called to make an appointment for a technician to come by and give me a quote on my options for central air in my house. The technician never showed and when I called I was given an excuse to why the tech never showed and no one called me. Then the lady on the phone asked if I would like to reschedule and my response was " I'm not sure if I want to conduct business with a company that can't even show up/call to let me know they can't make an appt". The lady then rudely said well there is nothing I can do about it and hung up on me! Very disappointed in the unprofessionalism in this company.

It went very well. Rob advised me on a single unit (handler and condenser) with a damper to operate two zones independently (2 thermostats). This saved on costs for the installation as well as the continuing operational costs. This is exactly what I was looking for. They were extremely accommodating to me in my particular ideas and were dedicated in getting the job done. It was a late night with a few small hiccups but everything was working smoothly when they left that evening. I've already recommended them to a friend.

Robert and Nancy are a great couple that run a very professional business. Robert is a very knowledgable and reasonable man who can be trusted. Nancy is very sweet and helpful. I needed my old gas boiler and hot water heater replaced to add a new zone to my house. Robert and his team were able to complete the job with a high end Bosch gas boiler with indirect hot water tank within a day. Robert was great at explaining the pros and cons of my different options and helped me feel confident in my decision. The price was a little higher than I was hoping to spend, I did get cheaper quotes from other companies, but I felt like the quality of equipment and work was worth the higher price. There were even a couple of uncommon requests I had which Robert was happy to satisfy. He really values customer satisfaction. This was my first time working with them and I'd be happy to work with them again.

This is the second time we've used them we had them install a heat and air system last year and we started having problem with the heat. They came out and repaired it at no extra cost.

Well I will begin by saying my home is built on a slab with the oil boiler in the middle of the house. Half the home was radiant heat built in 1949 and half the home had baseboard heating. I wanted a new gas furnace but wanted it installed in the attic freeing up the space in the middle of the house. I interviewed 6 different plumbers and they all told me it couldn't be done. I then met with Rob from R and N and he really took the time to understand what I wanted. He then discussed with me the pitfalls of converting from oil to gas without addressing the radiant heating issues in the other parts of the house. He explained that while he could convert my home to gas and put in a new boiler my radiant heating was too old and inefficient and not likely to last nor could it be repaired. The radiant heating was already out in one bedroom so he was correct on this. I was impressed with him taking the time to address issues that no one else had. He then explained to me he could install a furnace in my attic and run duct work and do forced air heating. The benefits of this was that I could do away with all the old plumbing and have new duct work that I could also use for central air in the future. I was sold! On the days they arrived to do the work Rob was always here. My husband was very impressed with Rob's knowledge and confidence regarding the work being done and the fact that he runs a tight ship! I don't think I saw anyone take a break the four days they were here! Also each day they left they cleaned everything before leaving and so I never felt I was living in a construction site. The men he had working for him were very respectful and a very hard working bunch. Their customer service is fantastic and his wife Nancy was always so sweet and helpful with answering any of my million questions. I love my new heating system and was really glad I took my time finding the right person for the job.

I purchased a cape 6 months ago and I was walking up the stairs and couldn't believe how hot it was. My wife persuaded me to find a company to install a central air system. I called 3 places. The first place didn’t call me back after 2 phone calls. The second place picked up and told me that they didn't work with capes. The third place came for an estimate and told me that the job was too difficult for them. I was out of ideas. I asked the contractor who I am using for the bathroom for a recommendation. They gave me Robert’s phone number. They said that he was the “best” when it came to Capes. He knows the Levitt houses inside and out. They said I wouldn’t be disappointed.. I called Robert. Within the hour he called me back and we set up a time for him to come to the house. He gave up his dinner time to give me an estimate. That is motivation! Robert was brutally honest but very positive. He looked at the current heating system and couldn’t believe how botched up it was. He said that my inspector didn’t do the job he was supposed to do. He was right. Electricians, plumbers, and contractors that stopped by agreed. Robert didn’t give in. He walked to the door and said, “There has to be a solution”. He started to measure the rooms and looked at the house from different angles outside. Robert visualized what the system would be and how it would be set up. Today, I am walking into my house with the new hydroaire heating and cooling system. This was a vision in his mind and he made it work He was able to get the ducts through the small spaces and save a lot of room. If you want a hard worker, call Robert. If you want a leader who makes sure the work gets done, then call Robert. He doesn't sit in his office. When people say he’s a standup guy, they are telling the truth. I would recommend him to anyone. As other people stated, he is very neat and organized. He cleaned the whole house after he was finished. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

He installed a indirect water heater in my recently purchased home. He came and gave me an estimate and was able to start the job very quickly. By 4 o clock that day he bought joy to my wife and kids as we now could bathe and shower in warm water again. I would use him again and he knows the best pizza places in town.

We were in need of a replacement oil burner in our crawl space. We found Rand N on Angie's List and called them for an estimate. In short; Rand N is professional, honest, prompt, knowlegable, courteous, clean and dependable. We highly recommend them.

The service, communication, and professionalism I experienced from R and N Heating and Cooling from start to finish completely exceeded my expectations. I spoke to Robert the owner on the phone and scheduled a same day appointment (Saturday). He was on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The work was done the next day (Sunday) in a timely and efficient manner. The replacement gas hot water unit he installed is working great! And I am so pleased with this experience; I will definitely recommend R and N to my family, friends, and neighbors. He was very neat and respectful of my home. I will be sure to contact Bob again in the near future. MY A/C unit will need maintenance work next spring.

The owner of this company is amazing his name is Robert Theiss, I was referred through a friend. My boiler stopped working and filled my house with smoke, we were frantic trying to find a company to come over and help us the boiler was 30years old and we new wed have to replace it soon enough, I called several companies noone was available to come for several days, most were rude because we didnt have a contract, I called Roberts office and spoke to Nancy who was amazing to work with, she understood our concerns we have two small children and needed this fixed right away, She sent the owner Robert he came within an hour, he diagnosed the problem right away, we knew we wanted to replace the unit and his price was better then any we recieved in the past, he rearranged his schedule to fit us in, the next morning Robert with two helpers got to my home excactly when they said they would,and got right to work, we were so worried about the mess from the old boiler , they took such great care, and were immaculate, the reason I joined Angies List was to let people know what a meticulous person Robert is, we couldnt have been happier he stayed till the job was done.
