handyman service
+ -1 moreHandyman "fixed" mold on drywall by covering it with spackle. He asked my spouse if that would be ok. My spouse knows very little about home reapirs and agreed. I feel the handyman should have been more professional and offered to fix the mold correctly.
Description of Work: Repair mold in drywall around bathtub. Install new bathroom faucet. Resecure towel rack to wall. Attach new switchplate to wall crevices.

+ 1 moreWe did not go with them as their quote was high. They were very agreeable and accommodating. They were willing to work according to our schedule. They were presentable and were professional.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Professional Handyman Services Inc for painting the living room, bathroom, and other places. They also had to do some leak repair.

+ -1 moreTom gave detailed estimates and stuck to them. He arrived on the appointed start day and time and worked efficiently throughout the entire project. He cleaned up at the finish of each day's work. All friends and neighbors who have seen the end result have asked for Tom's card. Tom understands quality work, and he also understands a budget. I must describe him as a craftsman because he knows what good workmanship consists of. He insisted on doing things, "The right way". I was able to give him the key, and was very comfortable leaving him unsupervised. Any time any decision was required, Tom offered solutions and I found I could trust his advice. I'm completely satisfied with his work. He cleaned up the jobsite when done, and even mopped the floors! (PS: If you find him booked, he's worth waiting for!)
Description of Work: Tom did a complete interior renovation of two upstairs bedrooms and added a full bath. One bedroom was finished but very tired, the other was studs and insulation. There was a space for a bath but it was just an empty room. I elected to have the work done to make my the house more saleable in a tough market. Tom installed laminate flooring throughout, sheetrocked, fabricated closets, moved a doorway and did all the bathroom finishing. Tom had to level sagged sub-floors, and he fussed until all was corrected. He did all trim, moulding, and painting required. He "sub'ed" and supervised a terrific plumber. He reused materials to save $'s when he could, and offered great advice on colors, trims and finishes.
