It went extremely well in spite of the fact that the house was built around 1875 and has a old stone foundation We were very concerned and worried about going ahead with the construction due to the historical nature of the house .We met with Sal from EMB builders and he explained how he would handle the project. After talking with him we had complete confidence that he and his company were the people for the job. EMB Builders managed the new construction very professionally and carefully pouring the new foundation and shoring up the old foundation where necessary they used materials molding , corbels etc. that blended the new addition with the existing house. We have comments from people who think the new section is part of the existing historical structure. Unfortunately EMB designed a roof that sloped towards one corner where they located a small drain to handle rain or snow run off, on the outside of this drain around the perimeter of the roof they built a wall which looked nice from the street but proved a disaster in that it blocked rain run off when the one drain could not handle the amount of water creating a pool of water on this FLAT ROOF. The water then leaked into our bedroom below and made a mess. This happened a number of times until the spring of 2015 when EMB came up with a new fix and moved the drain to the outside of the wall, this seems to have solved the problem I now am trying to have EMB repair the ceiling in our bed room and they are not answering my repeated phone calls. I am very disappointed in this company they started off so good but when problems arose EMB turned out to be a PROBLEM.

We used EMB builders after Hurricane Sandy and couldn't be happier. The owner Sal came with great ideas and shared their visions with us. They helped us with our new bathroom from beginning to end. Sal and his crew were excellent to work with...they were respectful of our home and very good at what they do. They were even kind enough to clean up after they left and work around my newborn's nap schedule. I was always able to reach someone on the phone and express my ideas and concerns which were all discussed and taken care of immediately. No request was too small or too big and none of my ideas were ever dismissed. Also, all of the professionals that Sal brought to our home for the various pieces of the job were great...the tile installer, the plumber, etc. were reliable, efficient, and highly skilled at their trade. Additionally, EMB builders did out entire entryway, stairs, and hallways (and a bathroom) with the most stunning wood moldings. Their talent with wood moldings exceeded our expectations. All of the molding has made our house look like a "home" and it truly added an exceptional amount of warmth. We would highly recommend EMB builders.

EMB was professional and very reasonable in pricing. EMB listened to what we wanted and was able to clearly explain the building process and what we could expect during the construction. I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future for other home improvements.

He said he could start in 2 weeks and he did in 2 weeks he was finished every day someone was working on the job. His crew finished nice bunch on guys. We had some open issues but they were all resolved. I hired Sal again about 3 months ago for a small job gave me a price did the work , great work. I would be open if any one wanted to contact me for a recommendation.

Working with Sal Baruso and his team at EMB Builders was a truly great experience. We retained Sal in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. He is a master craftsman,and has a wonderful team that are perfectionists and extremely pleasant to deal with,even under the most trying of circumstances. Sal , in addition to supervising his expert team, is hands on, and works enthusiastically with his team. Having spent his entire life in the business, he can offer suggestions on improvements that can prove dazzling. EMB Builers was all around excellent, and we will always use them in the future for all of our improvements, as will as our family and friends.

All four projects came out impeccable, and beautiful. We are so happy we went with them! They were clean and neat during the day, and cleaned up everything before they quit for the day. The workers were respectful during the building process, and everything went so smoothly. We HIGHLY recommend him to anyone that needs building services. Sal is very understanding and listens to and answers all of your questions during the work process. If we ever plan to do anything else to our home in the future, we will not even think about using anyone else. My house now looks amazing, and it truly is because of EMB Builders.
