Office staff was very nice and had their field man call promptly. He was only interested if I told him I want the tree removed and when I told him only if the condition requires removal he said he’s not in the tree “spraying” business; I told him I don’t want spraying but possible removal and he gave a nasty “I’ll get there when I get there”. So much for Dank, I only called because I thought they were a decent company. Don’t call them unless you want the service their Suffolk guy is in the mood for and I wish you luck.

We've used Dank for years. They take care of our 350+-year-old white oak, supposedly the oldest white oak in Roslyn. They come every 2-3 years and give the tree a bit of a haircut. The tree is gorgeous. The staff love working on her and do a wonderful job. Cleanup is great. This year they also had to remove 3 limbs that were over a section of the north-facing roof and causing moss build-up. Our insurance co. had complained about the moss. They removed the smaller limbs but advised that anything more would affect the balance of the tree and weaken it. They really know their stuff and want what's best for the life of the tree, whilst at the same time accomplishing as much as can be safely done.

They arranged an appointment on very short notice to trim some trees that were overgrowing from my neighbor’s yard. They showed up EARLY, and did a GREAT job and the price was very good. Job was done quickly and most importantly, neatly. They did excellent cleanup once complete, not leaving a mess. I would recommend them to anyone needing a similar service. A++. Would definitely use them again.

Dank is awesome. They gave me a great price, came exactly when they said they would, and my tree was down in no time. They cleaned up perfectly, it was like the tree was never there. Coincidentally, someone asked me for a recommendation for tree removal the same week, and without hesitation I gladly recommended Dank. She will be using them also!

They did a wonderful job. they were fast! all the work was done within an hour. they also cleaned everything up as well as chopped the oak into large pieces as we have a fireplace and wanted to keep the wood.

Very good tree service. They did a great job and cleaned up very nice. They were very very courteous, helpful. They moved a couple of things for me. They did a good job. They cleaned up everything and left. I was very satisfied. The give me a senior citizen price plus they have a coupon that is in the advertisement. I would say that their price is very reasonable. Their estimate is good too. Their quality is great. They were very good.

As expected. A quick estimate and tree was removed within 48 hrs, would highly recommend.

On 11/11/17, I needed a 70 foot tall Tulip tree removed in my backyard. The tree was located in the middle of a rock garden and abutting my platform deck and had to be removed without damaging all the plants around the base and my deck. They skillfully removed the tree by taking it down piece by piece. They even cut almost a half a cord of logs for me to be used as firewood for free. They did a beautiful job both in removing the tree and the cleanup afterwards. I highly recommend them for any tree removal and other work they do such a firewood, wood chips, land clearing, pruning, stump grinding, or tractor work. I asked them to leave the stump cut at about 4 feet and I intended to put a large pot on top with trailing foliage. This Spring, I could not find a pot large enough so I called them back and asked if they were in the area, sometime at their convenience, if they could come back and cut the stump lower (so I could put a whiskey barrel on it instead). It was just a 10 minute job, but they came back and lowered the stump for me at no cost. Very nice people and an excellent job.

We were extremely impressed. The team was professional and skilled. They did the work quickly and well. There was some damage to a fence since the tree was so close it was almost unavoidable but Dank was extremely responsive about fixing it and had us hold back some of their fee until it was fixed by them. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

They only came out twice and both experiences were great there was nothing wrong.

Tree removal was quick and clean. Stump grinding took several days due to an equipment problem. Company is not good at providing status updates/scheduling via telephone.

Called them for an estimate and the representative came and looked over the work that we needed done. Instead of giving us the estimate, he asked us what price we thought he had written down. We kind of thought that was strange and since we have never had trees removed before, we had no clue how much it would be. We said $3,000? and that was what he had written. We thought that this was pretty high and when we asked him for a senior discount, he said the lowest he could go would be $2,800. That still seemed high to us. We told him that his was the first estimate we got and that we would let him know. We got 3 other estimates and they were $800 to $550 less than his. Needless to say, we didn't use Dank's Tree Experts. They are way too expensive compared to other companies.

They showed up on time with a great crew and plenty of equipment. They worked carefully, had the tree down in 2 hours, and cleaned up after themselves. We engaged them to come back the following week to grind out the stump - once again, they did an excellent job.

This is a first class and very professional operation. Everything went smoothly and efficiently from the estimate to the actually work. The men had to work around electrical utility lines and close to the property lines. All debris was removed. I recommend their services without reservation.

I agreed to pay $1200 for a tree to be taken down on the property. I was charged almost $2000. In addtion, they destroyed my gutter, my siding, my walkway, and my belgium blocks. They also blew all my driveway rocks on my lawn and did a half-assed job cleaning up. When I spoke to the owner - ROBERT MARSALONA - all he did was make excuses for why he charged more money than he should have and why his guys ruined my property. It looked like a civil war was fought on my proerpty when they were done. When I tried to complain to the guys working, none of them spoke English - not one! Don't use this service - ever. I think they should change their name to STANK, Inc.! They are criminals! I currently am disputing my credit card charge. I'll keep you posted.

I've used Dank twice in the last few years, once right after Hurricane Sandy, and most recently in the spring of 2014. I was not as pleased the second time around. They left huge holes in the ground where the tree had fallen and didn't left a stump that should've been cut further closer to the ground. My main problem is that Brian comes out and assesses the job and on the day of the cutting a crew of about 8 guys show up without Brian. He never checks back to see how they are doing or how the job went.

Saw their ads in local paper and on Angies List. So, I called. Had to record my info and phone number. They never responded.

The crew arrived on time (without Brian) and began to set up for work. Brian did call his foreman to be sure everything was okay and that I was here. There were 6 men and wow, did they work fast! I had three trees taken down and three others pruned. They were careful using ropes to guide the falling branches and pieces of the trunks. They worked hard and completed the work in a matter of a few hours. All the debris was picked up. A job well done.

I PAID THE HEFTY FEE BECAUSE IT WAS RIGHT AFTER THE 'SANDY' STORM, AND THE SALEMAN SAID IT WOULD TAKE A 'FULL DAY' TO DO THE JOB, BECAUSE THE JOB WOULD BE DIFFERCULT WITH OBJECTS AROUND THE TREES TO BE TAKEN DOWN. DURING THE WORK THE MEN APPEARED RUSHED. DAMAGE WAS DONE TO OTHER TREES, THE DECK, AND LARGE HOLES IN THE LAWN. AROUND 2PM ALL THE MEN LEFT FOR ANOTHER JOB, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE PERSON TO DO THE FINAL CLEAN-UP. IN THE CONTRACT IT WAS STATED THE WOOD WAS TO BE LEFT AT THE CURB, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THE TOWN WOULD PICK UP THE WOOD. WHILE THE JOB WAS IN PROGRESS I FOUND OUT OTHERWISE. THE TOWN DOES NOT PICK UP TREE CUTTERS DEBRIS. I WAS STUCK WITH THE CHOICE OF LEAVING THE WOOD IN THE STREET, AND RISK FINES, OR PAY DANK AN EXTRA $500 TO REMOVE IT. I FEEL DANK OVERSTATED THEIR QUALITY OF WORK. I ALSO FEEL THEY PUT ME IN THE POSSITION TO PAY EXTRA FOR THE DEBRIS REMOVAL.

Dank never followed up with the customer. I went with someone else.

Courteous, professional company. I would certainly consider them for future needs.

Everything went so smoothly. All workers arrived at exact time they said they would arrive. George was extremely professional and thorough. We asked for 2 trees to come down and one stump to be grinded. All 3 stumps grinded and 1 large tree, 1 small tree took them one hour. Looks like a new house after Dank got done. A++++++ effort and A+++++ service. If your thinking about a tree removal service, Dank is the way to go !

The person who came out to do the estimate beat our prior best estimate by $100 (he asked). The actual work went great! All the work was done ... including stump grinding and clean-up ... in under 3 hours. This included felling 3 very tall trees in the front yard, which they just dropped into the street/cul de sac, cutting limbs on 2 other trees which were hanging over our kitchen, and pruning back trees on the other side of the house to get them off the roof. We were amazed how quickly and efficiently they got everything done, especially since they had some tight areas to work in on either side of the house.

They did a very good job. They weren't expensive. They were excellent. Everything was really good.
