They were on time, professional, and courteous. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves very well. I was very pleased.

The service went well. My husband primarily dealt with the technician. The technician did find a few things for us to take care of going forward. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

Horrible! It took a week before I was ever contacted. I had an 11:00 appointment on Saturday and the didn't show until 1:30. This was my first purchase since joining two weeks ago and it wasn't a good experience. Regards Chris Williams

Not well. No communication.

I was able to make an appointment fairly quickly (a day that was convenient for me) and they arrived on time with three men and a van full of equipment. Tommy is really good at explaining what's going on and he is eager to answer any questions that may come up. At one point, during one of his explanations, I said, "I lost you on that one" and he proceeded to explain it again very clearly, without getting frustrated with me. If you are faint of heart or suffer from vertigo, don't watch them work on the roof. At one point I looked up and saw Chris standing on top of my chimney trying to twist out the old liner. He was completely untethered and I just had to look away. So all in all, it went very well with the exception of a few unexpected difficulties that were resolved. I am confident that I now have a safe, working system that will sufficiently exhaust my furnace and hot water heater. I would equate the whole experience with having a colonoscopy that went well. I'll let you interpret that however you'd like.

When he came out he was very good, he took pictures and explained what needed to be done. Also gave me solutions on how to improve my chimney.

Why some folks offer and sell service they never plan to complete on the first place?... Good idea, poor execution. Will request a refund.

They were professional and thorough and swept out all the left over ashes from the fireplace and brushed the whole chimney from top to bottom. They also gave me a free inspection of the heater and boiler chimney and made recommendations on what needs to be fixed but not pushy.. Overall, we are very satisfied.

I purchased the deal and gave the dates that would work for scheduling and never got any response. I would just like a refund.

They did not properly install my range hood, I had to have someone else come back out and fix it.

By showing me the problem and explaining the solution they would provide, they provided me with the information I needed to make an educated decision on the work I needed. They showed up to repair my chimney the next day on time and with all the materials for the job precut and ready to install. The installation and labor was quick and professional and they kept me informed as the job progressed. They clean as they work. I had just had my lawn cut and the clippings were being tracked through my house, they asked me for my vacuum so they could clean the grass clippings up. I would highly recommend Always Affordable Chimney to anyone in need of their services.

I had originally bought an Angie's List deal for chimney cleaning and inspection. But when they arrived and did an initial inspection of the chimney, they said it was too deteriorated to do the cleaning. He told me we needed a flue installed to properly vent CO gas out of our house. I had heard a lot of people tell me to beware of chimney guys because they can rip you off and sell you large projects that you don't need. But since we couldn't use hot water until this issue was fixed, I was more willing to trust them. Also, he said that if we had him do the work he would refund me the cost of the original deal I had purchased. He quoted me a price that was higher than I wanted to pay, but was probably still fair, and told me it would take them 2-3 hours. They were finished in less than 2 hours. They cleaned up after themselves and showed us what was going on with our old setup, why it was bad, and what they were doing to fix the problem. When they were finished, they were very polite, and gave us recommendations for further repairs later on and even a good roofer recommendation. They were very professional, without being condescending. I would recommend them to anyone in need of chimney maintenance.

I am in the process of selling my house and my existing stainless steel boiler chimney was badly deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Last week I contacted Affordable as well as another company for a quote. The other company was able to come the next day to provide an estimate and the technician did a quick look from the ground and quoted me a price for 3 different options. Although I had to wait a couple more days for Affordable to come out, I felt they did a much more thorough inspection and told me exactly what was needed to fix it correctly as opposed to a "quick-fix" just to make it look good to sell the house. I felt comfortable with the quote although it was a bit more than I was planning to spend but at the end of the day, whoever buys my home is not going to have to worry about the chimney. The work was completed the very same day and was happy with the quality of the installation and the quick turnaround.

The person was very nice and everything turned out great. We had just bought a house and we wanted it inspected before we used the fireplace. The inspection only took about a half hour. He made some suggestions about the liner for our chimney part connected to our HVAC.

The visit went very well because the project leader, whose name I have forgotten at this time, was very thorough in his explanation of what I paid for and why it wasn't applicable in my case. I paid for an 8-inch by 8-inch cap but my chimney measured 34 inches by 17 inches. The project leader went over my options for achieving the results that I sought, and offered a low-cost, DIY solution that my brother and I will be using. Because of so much inclement weather over the winter, we had to reschedule from an original October, 2013 date; when they came to my home in Staten Island in April, they did so despite the fact that the company had stopped serving my area back in December. I truly appreciated their professionalism and customer service, and I would recommend them for their promptness and courtesy.

A 3 person crew showed up and did a good job. My only disappointment is that I was charged an extra $50 because I needed a round cap instead of a rectangle. (this made my total cost $150.) This should have been made clear when I made the purchase of the original offer. Otherwise they did a good job and I would use them again

I choose this company over another one because of the proffessionalism displayed by the employees. I felt like they knew what they were doing. I also loved that Tommy took pictures of what needed to be done so that I could see it.
