very well overall. I was a little bit surprised at the cost. As it turns out it was about average. However, in every other regard Service was excellent. In particular, the workers were very professional, very friendly and very conscientious about cleaning up. In addition the workers arrived about two hours after I called to request the service. I appreciated the quick response. I would use this service again.

Originally I had ordered the wrong job on Angelies List and in discussion with Tom he stated that that was not a problem he would credit my job for that amount. Tom and his crew showed up on time and proceeded to inspect my chimney after we had a discussion of my problems. He was professional and informative as to what needed to be done and once we agreed to the cost he went straight to work. All the work was done in a professional manner and actually very quickly. I would recommend Tom and his crew to anyone looking for this kind of service...which I did to a few of my neighbors.

They worked very hard and did a great job. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. They left everything neat and clean. They were also very reliable as well.

We originally only wanted to have a cap installed and the chimney swept, but after the inspection, it was obvious that this additional work needed to be done. Workers were very thorough, and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

Alfredo and his team were great. They were knowledgeable and efficient and I felt we were charged an honest price.

Alfredo and his men were patient, informative and did a great job assessing my chimney, stacks, pipes in basement. All work performed was done expertly and neatly. The job was well done and a new cap was installed on the stove which would prevent another nest from being built. We did have a misunderstanding that was quickly cleared up by a customer service call and a good will offer for a free cleaning next season which was gratefully accepted and scheduled.

The provider sent a truck that was late. Was told someone would be here between 10 - 1. was called about running late. Not here till 3:30. The two men who were already here had to wait for the owner before they could start the job Owner said the $79 deal did not apply because the sale cap wan not the one advertised and would cost 250 to clear the obstruction and 250 for the new cap. I had to ask that the Angie's list payment should be deducted from that, which they agreed to. The problem was with the way I was talked to in an unprofessional and condescending way. "Do you want the deal or not. I don't want to be standing out here in the rain. I don't care one way or another." It was hurray up and make up your mind. I was made to feel like I was wasting their time. I was hoping for some negotiation of price given I was a new customer off of Angie's list and that they were later than expected. I was hoping they wanted a return customer. I was hoping to feel comfortable using this company again. I would not use them again.

Excellent all around. These guys know their trade. Showed up and were the only company I have dealt with that got up on the ladder right away to assess the situation and assess the chimney condition. Also only company I have seen that has everything on the truck that may be necessary to complete a difficult job. Prior company sold me the Regency I2400 insert and tried to shoot the stainless steel liner partial way up the flue (not all the way which is the way it should be done) from the firebox and bent and flattened the liner in the process. The prior company didn't even replace the cap with an open damper and rain guard. Always Affordable diagnosed the issue, clearly explained the solution and proper approach. When they hit speed bumps -- inevitable with a 100 year old house with a difficult flue -- they resolved, which required jack hammering and dropping the liner from the roof and and were able to get the job done. At the end, as we discussed they fixed the masonry that required fixing because the unit needed to be pulled from the fire box to connect the liner. No BS and legit. Highly recommend.

smart, professional no BS. Just as it should be but rarely actually is. This is the real-deal. Tommy Reek is a solid guy and I would recommend him to my mother. I was skeptical at first so I did my research. Not only was everything Tommy told me spot-on his price was better than three other competitors. Tommy was always ready to call be back with a questions and worked around my schedule. I own a 130 year old Brownstone in Manhattan and rarely have a positive experience with contractors.Always Affordable Chimney is an exceptional organization run by a smart and honest guy. Installed Furon Flex Chimney liner - newest type of chimney liner so your chimney doesn't have to be opened -- Amazing. The guys worked all day and were informative and explained everything as they worked.

Punctual, hard working, was able to effectively diagnosis and fix my house properly! Was friendly and approachable, all around good work ethic.

I called him for a free estimate. After arriving here, he told me that I need to do Stucco or change the bricks. I asked him to show me the pictures of the work done by him. He did not have pictures. So I asked him to give me the addresses of couple of the paces he has done the work. He did not like it and said that "it is waste of his time to give an estimate and walked out without giving the estimate. Very unprofessional and abusive language used while telling his employee to get back to truck. I will never let him come near my property in future.

They arrived as agreed. They diagnosed the problem. They spent an entire day replacing the flue from the cellar to the roof. We were happy with the work they did. I would recommend them.

They came on time, showed me the need for a new liner. The work was done quickly and clean-up was perfect. They were very nice to deal with.

THIS COMPANY IS THE REAL DEAL. ABOUT FIVE YEARS ANOTHER CHIMNEY COMPANY CONVINCED ME TO PURCHASE A "STAINLESS STEEL" LINER. THE OTHER COMPANY SHOWED ME PIECES OF THE CLAY LINER THAT WERE CRACKING OFF, THUS CREATING A HAZARDOUS CONDITION. THE LINER HAD A WEAKER BUT ACCEPTABLE DRAFT DUE TO ITS SMALLER DIAMETER. FAST FORWARD 5 YEARS, THE "STAINLESS STEEL" LINER WAS RUSTING, AND THE OTHER COMPANY WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. ALWAYS AFFORDABLE CHIMNEY QUOTED ME ON REMOVING THE OLD LINER AND REPLACING IT AS WELL AS OTHER PARTS NEEDED. AFTER REMOVING THE OLD LINER TOMMY (THE BOSS) INFORMS ME I DON'T NEED A LINER AT ALL, THE EXISTING LINER WAS IN GREAT CONDITION AND THE OTHER COMPANY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. WOW, I WAS SHOCKED I HAD BEEN RIPPED OFF FIVE YEARS AGO. I WAS ALSO ELATED AT THE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY OF ALWAYS AFFORDABLE CHIMNEY. THEY ARE A 10 IN MY BOOK.

The whole process was great. Tommy was exceptionally responsive - answered calls immediately - made an appointment within several days and was prompt for every appointment. His staff was professional and efficient. He explained everything in detail including showing me pictures from the top of the chimney so he could explain the problems/safety issues that existed. He showed me the types of replacement pieces that would be installed. Inside the house he showed me exactly where the problems were and what would be repaired. I feel that the price was very reasonable for the amount of work that was done. They left absolutely no mess - and made sure i understood how everything worked before they left. I would absolutely recommend Affordable Chimney to anyone looking for chimney work. This was excellent service- above and beyond expectations.

Very polite and professional. Came in the time frame allotted. Called me 30 mins before they arrived to give a specific time. Got on with the job. Speedy, professional and thorough. Recommended that I replace existing cap on the chimney that is bent but there was no hard sell. Would definitely use again.

Let me start by saying this is my first time actually reviewing something so forgive me if everything isn't perfect. Shortly after hurricane Sandy hit we replaced our furnace, the installer suggested we replace the chimney lining also as it was crumbling. At the begging of this season we decided to do so. We called Always Affordable Chimney, they were here the very next morning on time. They went up on the roof took photos for us to see explained the situation and our options. We agreed on a very fair price and they got right to work, right on the spot! Tom and his crew were all very knowledgeable explaining all the steps they were going to take to repair the very old and crumbling chimney liner. The work was done in no time at all, they left the place just as they found it. They seem very proud of their work and it truly shows in the finished product, they ran new interior piping to the outer wall cleaning up all the un necessary bends that were impeding flow. Always Affordable Chimney was truly a delight to deal with and I would strongly recommend them to anyone in need of chimney service!

Very disappointed with Angie's List. So far I have contracted with two different vendors since joining and neither have ever performed services. Angie's list contacted me a week after my last disappointment and said they would monitor the situation and they also disappeared.

I had to pay about $100 for an attachment for the steel chimney cap. I checked the cap a few days ago and it still looks good. They inspected my chimney and liner. I did not feel the need for any more work and they obliged and left. Tommy was professional.
