Description of Work: They said more work was needed. I have no readon to not believe them. However when buying with angies Listband they come back that more work is needed/ repairs i am always skeptical. Its like they bait you with an Angieslist. Description of Work: I called him because I had a leak in my basement and it appeared water was coming through a chimney trap in the wall behind the boiler. I also noticed the chimney cap was missing. He had good reviews on Angie's List so I called. He came the next day for an estimate ( the cap was a listed deal at $99) and to see if the chimney needed cleaning etc. He didn't think the leak was from the missing cap and suggested before he came if we ran water from the hose to all parts of the chimney base and see if water came in the basement as it may be a waterproofing situation. No water came in after doing that. When he & his partner came, they went on the roof and the top of the chimney was falling apart definitely letting water in and the flues were clay and all falling apart. Although it turned out to be a lot more work needed and therefore, a much more expensive job than I expected, Tom and his partner explained every step, showed us every part needed and were really cared that we understood the problem. They were totally professional, friendly and reliable. They worked with us on the price and discounted their service to help us out. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing chimney work. They were a pleasure to work with.

+ 1 moreAlso spotted a problem related to another home improvement team working in my house at this time. Advised me to hazards involved with what they had done and to notify them about it. Stuck with the price he quoted me on the phone and did not add more money to bill in spite of having to replace top of chimney. Will absolutely use them again.
Description of Work: Need chimney cleaned. He informed me that I was missing a liner in my chimney. Installed liner and cleaned chimney. They know their business extremely well. Changed cap on chimney because it was ready to fall off top of chimney.

+ -1 moreIt worked out very well. It turned out that the install was more difficult because of the nature of our chimney so we ended up paying $1800. We knew that price was reasonable because we have had two other chimney companies come in they were like $2500. It was a good experience. They came on time. They were very professional. They explained everything before they did it. They cleaned up after themselves, very polite, I had no complaints. I would use them again.

A few months later, they came out immediately again to silicone where I was having a leak around the base of the chimney. + -1 moreIt was awful. After he cleaned the chimneys, he told us that the internal brick in one of the chimneys was dissolving and would crumble. He said the whole mechanisms could break down and cause a lot of problems for us. He told us that it would be a $2500 job which didn't even include fixing the flue. We were worried when he said that. We didn?t want to leave it but we didn?t want to go with what he said. We found then found another company that was wonderful. The other guy told us that he didn?t see anything wrong with it. He didn?t see an urgent need to do anything. He also showed me how dirty the living room chimney was. The receptionist was nice and they showed up on time but they proved to themselves to be dishonest. I felt his purpose of the groupon was to get into the house and try to sell us bigger job. I wouldn?t recommend them to anybody.
Description of Work: We had a groupon. The owner of the company came out cleaned 3 chimneys: the main chimney, den chimney and living room chimney.

The technicians were great, everything they were doing was explained in detail and throughout the work the technicians tommy and fredo stopped what they were doing to show me all the connections. they used nothing but the best materials. just compare apples to apples and make sure you are getting the best material for the job being done. professional, courteous and nice. i am a very satisfied customer of both the companies that helped me out. They repaired everything that night and even broke off some tree branches that were hitting the chimney, very professional and courteous.

+ 2 moreTommy came to my house because my fireplace was leaking water. it needed to be cleaned and the cap on it needed to be replaced. he ad the correct cap and now there is no leak and i can now use my fireplace without any health fear or harm for my family. he also did a carbon monoxide test and fire safety test. there was no mess made at all and the techs were very professional, nice and definitely would call them back for more work i need done. in fact i already nade an appointment for them to come back and do more work. i was very ahppy with the service.
