Got an estimate but used someone else.

I bought a house that had a Gas Fireplace already installed and I need to have the Pilot replaced because it will not stay lit. I do not know where it was purchased or who installed it. I gave them a "C" rating because their description is very misleading or wrong. They say, and I quote "We offer Sales, Service, & Installation for Gas, Wood, & Electric Fireplaces." What they don't say is that you needed to have purchased from them in order for them to come and do a repair. Because of that, I will not be using them install the other 3 units I wanted in each bedroom. I will look elsewhere.

We highly recommend NYC Fireplaces for glass fireplace enclosures. We moved into our new house and discovered that the 2 fireplaces were irregularly sized and that we could not find a fireplace screen that would fit them. Faced with having a blacksmith forge custom screens, we began looking around for fireplace doors and discovered NYC Fireplace, very close to us in Brooklyn NY. They were fast to respond to our initial call, fit us into their schedule for measurement in the same week, offered a wide variety of styles and options, and when we chose a custom made door, promised and then delivered and installed two of them before Thanksgiving- a faster turn around than is customary, but they made it happen and were generous and excited about the entire process with us. In the showroom, they were extremely helpful in making decisions and offering options and solutions and customer service by phone and email, all along the way, was helpful and fast. The installation process was painless for us, and the fireplaces were running perfectly that same night. In fact, they are working better than without the doors, as the doors have corrected the air draw up the chimney and we have no smoke leakage at all now. The doors look like the chimneys were built around them. We are extremely pleased.

Sal and Lucca were great. We went to their showroom in Maspeth and they helped us pick out a great frame for the fireplace doors and made some great suggestions on finishes etc. Lucca even let us take the finish sample ring home so we could match the color to our existing hearth. Sal come over later that same day and measured. 2 weeks later the doors came in and were installed. The installers were very professional and neat. They did a very nice job. The doors look awesome! They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. We stare right at these fireplace doors all day long as our TV is mounted above it - the fireplace doors were worth every penny. I highly recommend these guys for your fireplace needs. I would definitely use them again. First class all the way.

The installation, plumbing and electrical work was carefully planned and completed. We are very happy with the way that it turned out. Luca was very helpful with showing us what the best options will be for our fireplace. Antonio the plumber and Raffi the installer were great also. I would definitely recommend NYC Fireplace and Outdoor Kitchens to anyone that would like to upgrade their fireplace

My husband and I decided to convert our wood burning fireplace to gas. Although I was excited about the project, I was nervous about how the work would go. Our experience with NYC Fireplaces and Outdoor Kitchens was perfect from the moment we made the initial phone call to their showroom for information. Maria Pregola took that phone call and was so gracious as she so patiently answered all of my many questions. She completely put my mind at ease about going ahead with the conversion. An appointment was set up with Sal Finocchiaro to look at and measure our fireplace. He was at our home just a few days after the initial phone call. Sal also was so kind, answering all of my questions and making sure I knew what to expect when I visited the showroom. Our next step was to drive out to the showroom the following weekend. Luca Pipitone spent a great deal of time with us as he explained all of the ins and outs of gas log sets. We settled on a set and then Luca helped us decide on a glass fireplace door and hardware. He allowed me to bring home door color samples and we made our decision on the color and texture with the help of Luca and many others at the showroom. Today, a few weeks after ordering our log set and doors, the technicians were out to our home to install them. Raffi Saladin and Walter were amazing!! They were neat, professional, knowledgeable, gracious and most of all detail oriented!! Raffi and Walter did not leave until they was sure we understood everything we needed to know about our new gas fireplace. This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend NYC Fireplaces and Outdoor Kitchens to anyone thinking of this type of work.

Sal and his team did a great job throughout the multiple stages of developing our 11 foot custom outdoor kitchen. Solid service throughout the process from estimates, design, built and walk-through. Our family loves the results!

The showroom has on display all kinds of choices: wood, color, size, outside covers, inside brick work. Spectacular.

Everything went great! In the beginning I had such anxiety on how things would go. They sat me down and addressed all of my concerns, while communicating with me every step of the process. NYC Fireplace was punctual, professional and knowledgeable about the products. The fire place was a great accent to my home. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a fireplace.

This was not a low-cost investment, but the rewards have been high. For two winters, we have had wonderful fires at the flick of a switch; at one point this past Christmas, my two grown sons, daughter-in-law, and three cats all sat on the floor in front of the fire for hours.
