Pete arranged to be here at 8:30, he was. Work went very well. I had removed wall to wall carpet and found unfinished walls.

They were quick to send out an email giving the estimate. It was good. I know the owner. I trust him. He is honest. His finished product is very good. They are a little pricey compared to the other quotes that we got.

McClurg remodeled our kitchen in 2006 and did a beautiful job. Then, a year or two ago, the veneers on a couple of the cabinets started peeling off. I called McClurg, knowing that any warranty would have long expired, but hoping I could hire them to repair the veneers. Instead, they called the cabinet company, who agreed to replace ALL the cabinet fronts. Apparently there had been a manufacturing issue with these cabinets that was not discovered for several years. McClurg had the master carpenter who had installed our kitchen bring the new pieces out and replace the ones that were damaged. He left the other pieces so that we could replace the originals if they began to peel. All of this was done at no charge. I was completely impressed by their customer service. They had no obligation at all to help me with this problem, but they did so way beyond my expectations.

This was a small project, and we had difficulty finding a contractor that would perform the work. McClurg never hesitated, and set up an appointment to have someone come out to discuss the project. Within a couple of weeks we had a skilled carpenter who designed, and constructed not only safe and sturdy stairs, but beautiful stairs that tied into the look of our patio. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.

They were very punchional and professional and didn't leave till the job was done. They were very clean.

It was excellent! They were extremely thorough, used quality materials, and had good follow up practices. The basement looks great!

We had a project consultant from McClurg come out to look at our extensive list of jobs that need to be completed. The most extensive of these jobs and one that we need to save for in the future is our foundation wall. We already know this will be a big job and needed to get an idea of how much it will cost and what exactly is involved so we can be prepared in the future. Once we showed the person who arrived our foundation wall he ignored all the other projects that we actually have the money for and are ready to accomplish. He was the most vague person in responding to any of our questions that I've ever come across and actually acted put off when I offered details of the job that I assumed would be part of the estimate, as if I shouldn't know what I'm talking about. He could not justify his inflated estimate with any details of the job that would be performed. When we kept trying to show him our other projects, he basically brushed us off and said that we could call them when we get serious about the foundation wall and that "they're too busy to make the effort of following up with us". Before he left we still have many unanswered questions and are in the middle of talking to him when he just abruptly and robotically said "ok this is the end I'm going now". It was extremely bizarre behavior and we were left knowing less than before he arrived. One thing we decided is he was very poor representation for a company that otherwise has a good reputation. It left a bad taste in our mouth and did not appreciate his overall we don't need your business attitude. Long story short, we immediately made the decision to not go with the company once the door was closed.

Very poor experience and frustrating. Estimator came out to meet us and took some notes and spent 45 minutes answering questions. Unfortunately all follow up calls and emails were unanswered when we simply wanted a detailed estimate. I heard the quality of their workmanship was very good and was willing to spend $25,000 but apparently they are too busy to just communicate and follow up. Sad because I'm virtually right down the streeet from their main office. My mother in law had a similiar experience. Sounds like things are so good for them they don't have a problem with this kind of thing.

I was pleased. The thing I liked best is that it was a time & material job. They gave me so much printed material that I easily anticipated prior to the job what the cost of the job would be. They gave their per hour labor cost, gave me the parameters of when the labor costs would start, end, etc for the day. They figured the labor cost to the closest quarter hour, which was nice. The worker that they sent was experienced and quite capable...they were real professionals. They paid alot of attention to detail. It was nice and refreshing to deal with them. I thought the cost of the job was reasonable.

The electrician that they sent was excellent. He did an outstanding job. He did what he had to do. He did it quickly and on time. He was very skilled. The product was very nice. Everything works well. Their price was a little high but we are very happy.

They show a lot of attention to detail & make sure everything is done correctly. They make sure all subcontractors do work up to their standards. If I needed any other work done like this, even years later I'll still contact.

They were exceptional. I got what I paid for. I cannot say thing bad about them because it was the best experience I had.

They did a good job. They were very patient. They helped my mother-in-law chose the fixtures. They coordinate the status of the project.

At the time, I was very pleased. They were competitive in price. They delivered what they promised. This was not done recently. I would use them again. I would never go back to some one unless I was pleased with them.

We had to call them several times to come back and fix stuff that was not right. He is a sub contractor so you do not always get the person who is the expert. For example, we had an electrician that put lights in for us, and then he painted the ceiling. The job was not as nicely done as if a painter would have painted the ceiling. The price is extremely expensive.

They were very good and prompt. They did a very fine job. We thought they were expensive when we had them bid the kitchen remodeling for us.

I will use them again in the future.

The lead carpenter was one of the most skilled craftsmen we've ever hired. He addressed every aspect with complete attention to each detail. Since our home was built before 1978, he took precautions to address the possibility of lead paint and other problems associated with older homes. We did encounter some structural issues during the project that could not have been anticipated when the kitchen was demolished revealing the studs. This is where our carpenter's experience was an asset! He also set the tone and standards in the work site for subcontractors giving them both specifications and overseeing the work. When one of the appliances arrived damaged, he contacted the vendor for us and arranged for the loan of a floor model until a new appliance could be shipped. We are very pleased with the results and the fact that McClurg is a great firm to work with. They told us that seventy percent of their business is with homeowners who they have worked with in the past. We definitely fall within that group and will hire them for a future project we are planning.

We decided to do the work ourselves as the price was way out of our budget. They were really considerate. I would use them in the future.

McClurg was too expensive. The interaction went very well when they came out, they were responsible, professional, and got me a quote quickly. Their quality was top notch it was just that this is a rental property so I do not need all the greatest lumber and stuff.
