CROW HILL HARDWOODS

Removal of tile was fine, took longer than estimated. Hardwood install was done hurriedly. Owner promised that installer would lay out floor and use good pieces, installer said he couldn't do that, it took too long. I have gaps in the floor where I can see the sub-floor, I have staple pops and dents and nicks where tools were left on floor during install. They sawed moulding in the house causing a huge mess. Only about 50% of nail holes were filled, moulding not nailed in or when nailed, it split the shoe mould in a number of places. Cut moulding incorrectly resulting in gaps. I had to pay extra for transition to carpet because they did not know what to use and there was a gap between floor and carpet. Overall, I am just keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have more problems as time goes on. The installers were in such a hurry, they had to come back 6 times. The owner promised a quality of work the installers did not deliver. Very bad experience.

We were having problems selecting the type of hardwood we wanted for our family room. We finally got a recommendation to try Crow Hill in Marcellus, a store we had not heard of before. The people at Crow Hill were friendly and helpful. They carried better brands but other samples were also available. They were quite knowledgeable about the wood they dealt with. They carried a brand we hadn't seen before. We were very interested in it but couldn't decide on the color. They let us borrow several different samples over a few months time, which was great. Finally we were able to make our decision and place our order. The order was placed and came in at the order price and shortly after it was expected. Crow Hill delivered the wood to us at a minimum charge. The floor was installed and we had beautiful floors. It was another good investment!
