It always goes well. He's been doing it for years. A nice man with good ideas. He gets the work done and as quickly as possible. Plowing is done as soon as there's about 3 inches. And, he comes as often as needed if there is a storm. We've had some big storms; when I don't think got much sleep.

John Parker was asked politely several times not to plow across the road knowing that material from the gravel driveway fill my yard and driveway. He claimed he could not figure out how to do that (professional plow driver?) Ultimatly I needed the Sherrifs Department to convince him to do the job properly. He promised the Deputy that he would clean up the rocks in the spring but he was lying. He is incompetent and dishonest. He will tell you what you want to hear, then do what is easy for him.

Mr. Parker did complete the job. Prior to the contract signing he said he was very familiar with plowing gravel driveways (we live in a rural area so it's not unusual to have gravel). When he started plowing in December I noticed right away he didn't lift the blade on his truck and plow above the gravel. He started digging up the gravel and pushing it along with the snow. I called his wife who referred me to his cell phone in his truck. When I asked him to lift his blade up so he didn't dig up the gravel he said ok. After that he would rush into the driveway, not lift the blade and continue to dig up the gravel. I called him 2 more times and each time he said OK. He did not stop digging up the driveway so one day during a snow storm I went outside to talk to him as he was plowing. I'm standing in the snow 15 feet away trying to talk to him but he wouldn't stop his truck. All he said to me was "how's the dog?" I was sitting at my desk when he came to plow my driveway and the adjoining driveway (Y shape). He spent only 4.5 minutes on our driveway that was probably 300-400 feet total. When I videoed him again, it was also less than 4.5 minutes on the driveway. Guess he didn't want to take the few seconds to adjust the blade on his truck before he plowed :( Now after the snow has melted I can see that he has more than just slightly damaged the driveway. This driveway was only 2.5 years old, was designed by an architecture who built the addition that it goes to. There are huge piles of gravel on the other side of the street, on the lawn, near the garage door. There are huge ruts and potholes in the driveway now - very similar to the roads in Kenya where I once lived. When I drive over the driveway, my stomach goes up and down. When I try to walk out to the mailbox, it's not flat anymore so I risk falling (something I try to avoid at all costs at my age). I can no longer see the edges of the driveway. I think it will cost thousands to fix this as it's a long driveway.
