I've used him for years and he's very good. He's very reliable and I keep calling him back. He usually comes within range. I like the promptness and he gets back if he's a little late. He's very conscientious of making a phone call and I have few of emergencies too. He takes care of our business properties too.
Description of Work: He finished a job for me and it's a shower repair. He's done a lot like the fuel line, air conditioning and others.

Today, Dave's Mechanical Service did annual maintenance on or A/C unit. It's not the easiest unit to get to. We live in an area where many units are on the roof. Our's was no exception. Dave was prompt, quick and thorough. A downpour came on suddenly, but the job was not interrupted. We have used Dave's in the past. He is our go-to-company when it comes to servicing, repairing or replacing our HVAC products.He is excellent. He is prompt, courteous and personable. We have used Dave to replace our furnace, A/C and hot water heater. He is always great about giving us a heads up on cost, so there is nothing surprising when our bill is handed to us. We try to schedule him twice a year for annual service for our Heating and A/C. I give this company an AAAAA+. We will always refer Dave to our friends and acquaintances without worrying about quality of work.

We made arrangements with Dimon Construction to do the gas cook top install. They were great to deal with but a scheduling conflict came up. So, they sent out Dave's Mechanical instead of the guy they keep on staff (I assume they did this so I wouldn't have to wait another week for the install). Dave and his co-worker arrived when promised. They were polite and professional. They used tarps to cover our rugs and the work area. They wiped down the counters and used a small shop vacuum to clean up when they were finished with their work. They tested the cook top to be sure it worked. It did. They left. We used it right away and were happy. However, we soon noticed that our oven (separate wall unit) was not working. We called Dave and he was back in under an hour to fix the problem. He not only fixed the problem, but apologized and admitted that he had overlooked something. That's extremely impressive to have a contractor accept responsibility! I'm not sure if it were really an oversight on Dave's part or just a miscommunication between him and Dimon Construction. Whatever the case, he took responsibility, responded quickly and took care of the problem. I think that's exactly what a contractor should do when there's a problem and I don't think it's too much to ask for. (However, most contractors I've dealt with seem to have a difficult time fixing their mistakes in a professional way and to the customer's satisfaction. It can be almost like they can't understand why you want the job done correctly.) It was great to have Dave take care of things like a professional. I think he has the ability to see things from the customer's point of view and that's very valuable. I gave "A"s on everything except for price, which got a "B". The only reason was because it wasn't a cheap price (and this was a price set by Dimon Construction, so it may not accurately reflect Dave's usual pricing). However, I'm OK with paying a "good" price instead of an "excellent" price when you get someone who does a great job. I would use Dave's Mechanical Services again. It's nice to have work done in your home and not have a single thing to complain about!
Description of Work: We needed our electric cook top removed and replaced with a gas cook top. We already had the replacement cook top, but needed a gas line extended and the gas cook top put in place. Actual labor time was approximately four hours.
