Was able to meet our deadline but the quality of work was sloppy

Elvis and his team (including his Dad who is a talented painter), were very responsive to our initial bid. They came to the house to review the job and we had a quote within 24 hours. They arrived each day as scheduled and worked full days. Elvis kept us updated through the project and they met the timeline outlined in the quote. We could not be happier with the outcome and would certainly hire them again. Project - Upper West Side - Painting of woodwork, walls and closet doors. - Install new drywall over exposed brick - Install of new base boards - Install of wallpaper We had four quotes for the job - AREL-NY was very competitive. We use HomeAdvisor and Angie's list a lot and AREL has been one of the most responsive and better experiences we have had. Highly recommend.

Elvis is super responsive & reliable. Was in a time crunch to build a baby nursery - he came on Monday got the job started the next day and finished in 2 days like said. Very happy with the results! Highly recommend him!

I am a multi family owner 40 years - had tenants in apts with missing Sheetrock entire bedrooms due to water from fire - I called Angieâ s list Sunday - Monday I met elvis - Tuesday he and his crew started work - worked straight through 8 days - moving furniture - working in occupied apts - very difficult tight situation - did an amazing job - highly recommend him and his company

Hired for demo work. Did not put up any plastic to protect or keep the mess controlled. Did a horrible demo job and had to have someone else come in and fix the work. Tried to hassle me about money saying he usually charges more but I accepted the first price he gave. No way I am paying more now the work is started. Argued with the super about taking the trash out properly. Would not hire again.

Elvis and his team were great. I initially hired him to do a paint job but then brought his team back to install kitchen backsplash tiles and additional paint work. I highly recommend him.

Elvis was kind and professional from start to finish. He promptly came over to give me an estimate, then scheduled the paint job for a few days later. They did a wonderful job painting at a very reasonable price, and they worked fast! My apartment looks great. Elvis was great from the start. Professional and courteous and responsive. He was good to his word and did the project within the timeline. We even added projects to our reno and he was able to get the job done as. the pricing was fair. Would definitely recommend.

Elvis and his team were professional and reliable. They showed up exactly when they said they would and completed the job within the stated timeframe. Elvis took time to explain exactly what they were going to do, so that we were all on the same page before work began, The onsite crew were efficient if they were unsure about something, they asked questions before forging ahead. Elvis showed up about 1.5 hrs after the team finished to inspect and confirm that everything was done to our satisfaction; the task was performed exactly how we wanted it and exactly how Elvis described it. Would definitely hire again and would have no hesitancy recommending them.

Elvis and his team were professional, skilled, reasonably priced, and kept their appointments. Most importantly they were honest. Their honesty added more work to the job but they stuck to their values. Asked him to do several additional tasks, but he didn't charge me, so I voluntarily paid him a bit more. Strongly recommend. Will hire again soon.

Elvis is a very skilled and reliable contractor- my project was done on a very tight schedule, 2 weeks total length in a nyc condo. The condo rules are strict so Elvis had to work fast and not lose any days. He executed flawlessly. He is very flexible , frequently updates client and does amazing job. He has insurance and very well familiar with projects in condos and city in general. I would love to do another project with him and recommend him to run full renovation projects because he can do everything and has multiple professionals working for him.

We were in a real pinch. Our bedroom flooded but before we could do anything we had to comply with NYC’s cumbersome asbestos removal process before we could put down new floors. Juggling timing of furniture removal, insurance, coop requirements, Hurricane Ida, etc., gave us exactly 5 days to replaster the bedroom ceiling and paint the room before the floor installation began. Desperate (and unbeknownst to us, our coop plasterer and painter who worked in the building for years, returned to his homeland forever during the pandemic) I knew no one on short notice and turned to Angi with these tight dates. The highly rated AREL-NY communicated with me quickly and clearly. Came up the next day to look at the job and provide a very reasonable estimate. Although I did not believe it, our man Elvis and his crew did the job as promised and are cleaning the room up as I write this, so the floor installation can become on Monday. Despite my shakiness, Elvis assured me things were well in hand. The plastering of the ceiling, which looked like it was about to fall in, looks great and I am confident will survive the inevitable coop water leak from above that always happens. As promised, Elvis got the perfect paint match and our walls, having gone unpainted for a LONG time (who wants to remove furniture that looks like it will fall apart if u move it) looks like we just moved in. Now if I can keep my fingerprints off the wall! On top of it. Elvis is easy going and has a great sense of humor. I feel lucky that with such a very tight time window, he and his team was able to fill the breach and get this job done before I would have to do it with a brand new wood floor underneath, which would have been a nightmare. And by the way, Elvis has just left the building. 5 Stars!

Elvis Bara and his dad ,of Arel Painting,is a wonderful professional. He goes out of his way to do the best job possible. They did a terrific, top quality paint job. They are very personable, always patient and accommodating. They are a pleasure to work with and offer reasonable prices. I would highly recommend hiring their services to others.

Elvis was completely professional every step of the way. He arrived on time, was aware of covid-19 concerns on my part and responded appropriately. He actually completed the grout work for my small apartment bathroom, including painting the bathroom ceiling about 2 hours ahead of schedule. He explained well what I should do after he left to be sure the grout completely dried properly and that all grout dust was cleared away. His rates seemed fair to me in relation to the work involved. I would recommend him for this type of work.

This is a father and son business. They are courteous and polite expert painters who pay attention to detail and are concerned about me as a customer, making sure I am happy with the work. They showed up on time everyday and stayed until the work was completed. Price was agreed upon before the work began and a contract was signed. I would hire these two gentlemen again in an instant!

Elvis fixed the grout around my small ceramic bathroom floor tiles and the chalking/sealant around the tub. He even added sealant to other places that needed it without charging me extra. He went above and beyond and the bathroom looks so much better. And he was very responsive and showed up exactly when he said he would. I definitely will hire him for any future work and give his name to my friends.
