The installers even offered to help me bring in my groceries when I arrived back at my house. We couldn't be happier with the experience and best of all our smokey chimney and noisy fan problems are things of the past.

Description of Work: We wanted a quote on a basement with possible asbestos ceiling and assorted other abatement situations. A previous company told us everything was asbestos and had to be removed at $13,000. Mr. Chimney took the time to actually test the materials - ceiling was not asbestos, and demolition only cost us$1,000. A Company that has morals was appreciated - we only paid for test expenses. They were quite hard to get.a hold of and get on site - which I will chalk up partially to hurricane sandy, however even with that in mind responsiveness was still an issue. Still would recommend using this company as honesty and quality are much more important in my consideration.

Description of Work: Everything went very well. Very professional, informative, timely, etc.. The two gentlemen did a great job.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Chimney for an estimate and Ken and one other gentle man came. They gave me an estimate that seemed a bit high but I went with them anyway because of their reputation on Angie list. Jesus and the crew came out on Monday and Tuesday to do stucco from top of the chimney to base of the attic and put a rain cap and a new flue. They cleaned after themselves. Even though the price is a bit high, the crew did a good job with the chimney. It looks like new again.

Description of Work: Arrived to clean funace flue and informed me that the chimney liner was disintegrating as it was original to the house (1930) and should be replaced. I accepted their opinion. They scheduled the job at my convenience and the workmen we polite and considerate. They did careful, thorough work and left the area spotless.

Description of Work: Called them because of a persistent "damp fireplace" smell in my house. Accurately diagnosed the problem - something which others were unable to do. Replaced flue pipe leading from furnace to chimney which was crumbling and causing blockage. Did an excellent job - were quick, efficient and clean. I would recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Strange situation. I have given them a B rating only because there were no services performed and it would not be fair to evaluate their actual work. We made an appointment to have our chimney swept. I took time off from work to meet them early on Monday morning at the house. When they didn't arrive I called them to confirm where the guys were. They responded that during their confirmation call that a "woman" told them that we already had our chimney swept last week and we don't need them so they cancelled the appointment. No such "confirming" call was received by us. I don't know what happened in their process, but obviously someone screwed up. So I have no idea how the quality of their work is. I would strongly suggest that if you make an appointment with them, you call to confirm it BEFOREHAND. These things do happen in business, but it does not make a good impression on the customer. Very aggrevating, needless to say.

Description of Work: We moved into our new place a few months ago, and had never used the fireplace. Since everything else in the apartment was broken, we assumed the fireplace was as well. We called Mr. chimney to have our fireplace inspected and swept. After inspection, they told us that everything was not only safe but also clean. He charged us for the inspection, but didn't sweep. I was really impressed with their honesty and that they didn't unnecessarily sweep just to charge us for work.
