Description of Work: Sweep and visually inspect the fireplace of the house I just bought. It took less then 10 minutes. I had a prefab metal insert. |I requested a quote for my furnace/boiler chimney/exost and I was pressed to sign for $2,400 installation of 25 ft stainless still liner kit. The price of the kit in homedepot is $729 and the work is about 3 hours. Description of Work: They did - I presume - a very good job. However, even with the discount they offered me for having five chimneys, the price was very high. The whole job took just two hours. $1905 for two hours' work seems very expensive. There is no complicated equipment or large team of laborers to justify the expense, it seems to me.

Description of Work: I called the Mt.Kisco number in yellow pages. They came to estimate (We needed a new chimney cap). It was Mr.Chimney---Phil McCrackin from Mamaroneck that came to do the work. Good job, fair price. I am concerned, however,about the fact that while I was researching and deciding whom to call, a number of other providers CALLED ME saying that I had called them first and that they were RETURNING MY CALL. I don't like that too much. Please note: This is bordering on a DEAL-BREAKER with Angie's List. You guys obviously distributed my information to those companies. It is not supposed to work that way.
