It was fine. They showed up on time, did a good job and left. Simple and quick.

Overall the work was time in a timely and professional manner, I was a bit disappointed with the price due to the fact that I was already spending thousands to have my system redone with gas.

Overall I am happy with the service, however; I would have liked a confirmation phone call the day before or day of because I was unable to reach anyone on the day of repair & was unsure if they were still coming. Fortunately, they showed up in the afternoon & completed the job in a couple of hours or so. Lastly, one of the gentleman doing the work recommended to have my chimney waterproofed. So i instructed him to tell his office to have someone call me to schedule since he was unable to give me an estimate or schedule the job. I have not heard from anyone & still interested in the waterproofing...

The experience was excellent. The company was all good. We were very pleased with the service and clean up.

Originally the bill was for $240; however, they adjusted it down because they realized I only had one chimney line. The job was great. The two guys that came were pretty good. The price was good. I would use them again in the future.

The guys showed at the earliest point in the window they gave us - parked on the wrong side of the street, but whatever. They originally were asked to clean the fireplace flue and the boiler flue, but after inspection told us the boiler flue didn't need cleaning. They cleaned the chimney very quickly and were in and out in 10 - 15 minutes. We haven't lit a fire, but by visual inspection it appears they did a good job. Chimney cleaned.

I had called 3 Chimney repair companies to look at our two chimney's as we are getting ready to sell the house in the next year or two to see if we need to do any work prior to selling. Mr. Chimney bad mouthed prior work done by another contractor (possibly correctly, I don't know), saying that it would have to be redone for a reasonable fee, but not indicating whether the work should be done prior to selling. The two other contractors both said that we didn't need to do anything prior to selling, the next owner could do the tuck pointing, and minor repairs.

Got an estimate from Kenny and cell phone contact for questions. They were easy to reach. A few days later I received a folder about their company and a list of references. Arrived about 10 days after deposit put down. Team of 3 lead by Jesus arrived on time. . They were clean and efficient They had to leave the job for about 45 minutes to obtain the right size vent pipe. Work order called for insulation around liner. This step was omitted and it was explained to me that because of the sizing of the liner there was no room for the application of insulation. I'll put my trust in their professional judgement but still wonder if they were taking a shortcut. They did a nice job putting together the vent pipe to my heating system. They were pleasant to work with.

My home inspector identified the insulation on my heating pipes as asbestos, so I called Mr. Chimney. The tech who came to my house was helpfull in walking me through the whole project and gave me a thorough explanation of how the job would be done. The price that they gave me was very fair so I booked the job. They came two days later and finished the job in the time I was told that it would take, and the workers were clean and polite. I would use them again and recomend them to anyone

Overall, it was done very professionally and competently. They came at their scheduled time and performed the work in a competent, skilled manner. The house is nearly 70 years old, and as far as I know, had the original boiler flue. They recommended to have the flue lined, but did not create a sense of emergency or panic, but recommended that it be replaced sooner, rather than later. They were working in the basement initially for a couple hours. Due to complications in the existing chimney exhaust, they had to remove a large section of the vented exhaust area, creating a large hole. After installing the liner, and replacing the boiler and water heater duct they patched the hole so that it is not evident the brick was removed. Upon completion, the workers cleaned up the considerable mess in the basement. Very satisfied with the quality of the work.

They quoted us a price over the phone: $110 to clean the chimney and $175 for a cap. They spent literally 5 minutes on a perfunctory cleaning of the chimney, and told me the could put a cap on for $525. Talk about bait and switch. Also - the cleaning was so clearly without effort that I doubt it is truly clean. They seemed in a rush to leave once I declined the $325 mark up.

I called to get an estimate for sweeping both the fireplace and the boiler chimneys and to have them capped. I was given a $300 estimate over the phone and I made an appointment for a few days later. When they arrived, they were unable to open the fireplace flue. When they checked the boiler, I was told that the chimney was clean but that I would need a new liner and that the whole job would be $2400! Luckily I had read other peoples evaluations, so I was not shocked at the possibility of needing a new liner (my house is 100 years old), nor the difference in price. We said OK and were given another appointment for the following week with a different crew. The second crew also arrived promptly and did their work quickly and neatly. There was a small mess they did not see and so did not clean up in the laundry room. For some reason, there is a small opening from the chimney there, I guess. At any rate, I can now use the fireplace, I don't have to worry about birds falling down the chimney, nor do I need to worry about carbon monoxide poisoning. I was quite pleased with the work and will use them again when needed.

They were very professional, arrived on time and completed the work quickly and without any problems. They replaced the chimney liner and added chimney caps and the quality of the work was excellent. Highly recommended.

Their workers were punctual. There was a mix up with the form of payment, but other than that their work was done very well. They cleaned up after themselves. Alex and Gabe were the two gentleman that did the work.

I had another company that gave an estimate of 6K but "would do it NOW for 3K - we declined their offer. I called Mr. Chimney in Mamaroneck, NY and they came and gave what I thought was a resonable estimate. Two men came shortly after and did the work. It did not take much time and they cleaned up after. I'm perfectly satisfied in every way.

They made time for me. They were professional and they were honest.

It went quite well. First, I was just happy they showed up and were able to deal with the situation. I had called three other contractors who either didn't know how to find the fan I needed or were not interested in working on my high and steep roof. Mr. Chimney's technician immediately understood the problem, and after taking a few measurements, specified the unit I needed and gave me a quote on the spot. I initially had sticker shock at the price, but after the technician left I looked up the unit on the internet and discovered that the fan itself was most of the cost. His labor cost wasn't cheap, but I was happy to pay it for someone who obviously knew what they were doing. They showed up the next week as scheduled to install the unit and it went fine. The unit works great, and they left no other evidence that they were here.

The company responded quickly for my request for an estimate, came at the appointed time, and performed the inspection and quoted a price for the job on the spot. The work was scheduled for a week later. The workers came on time on the date agreed upon and completed all repairs within the day, as promised. The job was professionally done and care was taken not to damage landscaping, etc. I would use this company again.

Mr. Chimney was the second company we had come out to review the chimney on the 1913 home we had purchased. They came out on the agreed upon date but arrived somewhat later than the agreed upon 3hr. window. When Victor did finally arrive, he was very professional and went about his review. He explained to me in detail the the issues related to the deteriorated chimney lining (similar to the other company and consistent with research I had done on my own). We then discussed options for replacing the broken internal damper. He gave me the pros/cons of going with a new internal damper versus using a damper on the top of the chimney. The other company had only given me an option for the top damper. After the discussion we chose to go with the internal damper replacement which was more difficult to install but should last longer and would not be subject to freezing like the top dampers (which requires a service call), although the top dampers are less expensive and provide a better "seal" for the chimney. He also showed me a sample of the stainless steel liner they use. After reviewing the proposals from the two companies, we chose to go with Mr. Chimney who was less expensive and seemed more knowledgable than the other company. The main price difference was that they did not require the rental of a boom truck to do the installation which reduced the cost substantially. We set a date for the installation, they showed up on time and completed the work in one day.

Surveyed the problem on Tues, installed next day. Very efficient, courteous.

Difficult job as narrow chimney (boiler and hot water heaters vent) exited on neighbors' roof. Workers met every challenge including moving duct in the cellar and did not exceed time and money estimate. Premises left very clean.

My first experience with an Angie's List recommendation. I had previously tried another chimney company who had done an inspection, given me a much higher estimate on the phone and never followed up with a written estimate. Mr. Chimney responded quickly, gave a reasonable estimate on the spot and did exactly what they proposed, were on time, courteous, etc. Will use them again.

They have been great, we had to postpone the service due to the weather and they were very good about coming back when ever we wanted. Their price seems a little better than average.

They were prompt the work, was good and they cleaned up their mess. I will call them back next year. I can't remember the price but it was relatively cheap.

I would refer this company to anyone needing chimney services. However, I strongly suggest that a very specific and clear contract be drawn up that would include contingencies in case changes have to be made after the work has begun.
