Hi. I hope I have the right Majestic Kitchen and Bath. I hired Home Depot to redo my shower and this contractor (Majestic) was who Home Depot hired to do the job. They did mostly everything right. Shower looks awesome but one problem....no hot water. The last time I had a hot shower at home was the night before they came over a year ago. I called to have them come back to fix it, but they said the mechanism that regulates water temperature was done right. WRONG. They refused to come back to fix this problem. Would have maybe taken an hour at the most. So now they are getting a bad review instead of a good review. I need pay someone else now to come and fix it to give me my hot showers back! My name is Christine and I live in a small condo in Edison. If Majestic will come back to fix my shower I will change my review from bad to good.
Description of Work: Completely reinstalled a new shower/bath.

Contractor failed to level the bathtub and the problem was only discovered when everything was complete and the company Majestic recommended to install glass shower doors came to measure and informed me of the fact. Contractor refused to pull everything out to remedy situation, saying "it was good enough." He was often late in arriving and failed to advise in advance. I would have to call him to find out he was not coming until another day. Almost a year after mirror installation (which contractor absorbed), the mirror has a resilvering issue in the middle and has to be replaced. Since it is glued and screwed to an entire wall, this will be a m amor issue. Contractor has still not informed me of how he intends to correct this problem. I would strongly recommend you never use this company.
Description of Work: The provider designed the bathroom but her designs were not always clear to the contractor she recommended to install. She also approved a major purchase I did not sign off on because I discovered the tub was not level. She also failed to tell me that I was expected to purchase a large bathroom mirror myself. In addition, broken items needed to be replaced several times and I discovered that Majestic buys some fixtures from Best Plumbing in Scarsdale, so the mark-up must be substantial. I has asked the designer about this up-front and she flatly denied it. When replacement parts came, the boxes referened Best Plumbing!

If you are thinking of using Majestic Kitchens and Baths for a job in your house, go to your living room, sit on your couch, and pull out all your hair. It's cheaper and more pleasant. Disaster would be a mild word. The designer ordered 25% more wall tile than we needed, then refused to even discuss allowing us to return it, despite it being 100% her mistake, until I got more people at Majestic involved. She tried to charge us over a thousand dollars extra for drawer pulls, and when I caught the error, I got attitude instead of an apology. Is that how someone who made a genuine error would react? She seems to be very bad at math, and all her mathematical errors are to her credit. Interesting. I'll bet many of her clients don't bother to review her math. And the contractor she recommended so highly? Forget it. The worst I have ever seen, and I have seen lots. Why she would risk her job by recommending someone who was such a 100% all around disaster (never showing up, not supervising at all, delays, delays, delays, blatantly lying about just about everything, nasty, rude, you name it, if it's bad, it describes him) is beyond me. Back to Majestic, they custom-made three vanity pieces for us. Two out of three were wrong. Another delay. Just today, they were supposed to deliver a countertop to us. It was to be the only two hours of work done all week, because they had thought that the countertop was already made and delivered (I ordered it in late July), but they were mistaken, it had not been made or delivered. So another week of delay with nothing happening while they made the counter top. The only thing scheduled to happen was delivery and installation of the counter top, between 11 and 1 today. We took time off work, put our five pets in one room to keep them safe, annnnnndddddd . . . . Nothing. I'm writing this at 2:15. We just called to see if he was going to show up or we could go back to work. They hung up on us. Yes, the receptionist HUNG UP on customers calling to see whether a scheduled delivery that was already an hour late was going to happen at all. Oh and my medicine cabinet was delivered with no internal shelves. I have asked about this three times now, she ignores, just completely ignores, my questions about where the shelves of my medicine chest are. Because wanting shelves in your medicine chest, well, that's just unreasonable and high maintenance, I guess. Best to just ignore such an insane request. NEVER use these people, unless you love stress and frustration and there is not enough of it in your life. They will give you nothing but that.

Description of Work: Majestic ordered all supplies and provided me with a recommendation for a contractor,who we used. Our master bathroom came out very well with a few small disappointments, such as weird dark rings on the granite sinktop around the faucets and below normal water pressure in the sink and bath. Overall, a positive experience.

Where to begin. The design process was truthfully very easy and Vinny was very patient with us as we designed the kitchen of our dreams. in terms of options and their ability to use computer software to help visualize, expertise etc. We couldn't have been happier. Unfortunately, that's where our praise ends. The kitchen was delivered back in August of 2013. We had our contractor completing the installation as we were doing a larger remodel of our home and it was negotiated at the time of signing our contract. Within the first few weeks we came to realize that the ends of our island were ordered incorrectly, i.e. both sides were not the same length. One was 40" wide the other was 48". We had to order a new end but because of it being a custom order took 3-4 weeks. When the cabinet was finally sent back to us it was too wide, seriously not joking. By 1/2" and we had to have it sent back and cut down at the majestic wood shop, setting back the marble delivery another week. In addition to the aggravations from all the errors the worst part was the additional vendors, etc all over us for delaying their process and eating up warehouse space. Additionally, the final measurements that were taken just before placing the order were incorrect leaving our contractor with a great deal of work ripping down cabinets etc. to get them to fit into the space. Had this been the only issue not a big deal because he was skilled enough to complete it. Next, the butler pantry. The height in our kitchen was approximately 12ft around the base. The dining room where the butler pantry was going was 8.5'. Unfortunately, when the final measurements were taken no one picked up on that and the butler pantry was delivered with cabinets that were far too tall. This had to be sent back and recut, etc...the end product was a squattier top cabinet. Does it look awful, maybe not but is it what we ordered? Certainly not! Our project has been going on for months now and approximately 1 month ago (yes it's been a LONG year of construction) we were ready to put the toe kicks in and came to realize that we were missing a few of them. Again, since it's a custom order we had to wait 3-4 weeks for them to reship. We probably should have checked for these months ago but honestly if you saw how much packaging is delivered when they ship a 26' by 15' kitchen it really isn't feasible to do a full inventory. That's what they are paid for. Last but not least we have glass going into some of our cabinets. We were getting the run around for months on one section of glass, "vendor not being responsive, etc.." Not really our problem as Majestic offered the glass option and they should have worked with more manageable vendors. Anyhow, finally after approximately 7.5 months (yes 7.5 months) we had the glass delivered 1 week ago, my wife met the installation man in the morning. Taking time from her schedule and going in to work late. When we got home that evening, NO GLASS. I kid you not. It was comical. No emails, calls, nothing! We had to reach out to Majestic and were told that the "glass was scratched." You would think that would have been double checked prior to delivering the glass for installation?? Makes sense but I'm not a kitchen professional so maybe they have other processes?? Anyhow, glass was being delivered this morning 4/10/14 at 8:45am. 8:45am comes and goes, my wife reaches out to Majestic. "We got a late start." Just to reiterate, my wife whom has a career and took the morning to wait around was given no heads up, she had to proactively reach out and was given that excuse with no expected delivery time. Well, that brings us to 9:15am, glass is finally being delivered and installed. Hopefully, with no scratches. In the end our kitchen looks amazing. I'm not quite sure that the headaches were worth it though. My professional opinion. There are A LOT of kitchen and bath companies you can work with. You would think that someone with the length of service and level of Volume as majestic would know how to manage a project with a little more professionalism. I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. Unless, you have a ton of time and patience!!!

Home Depot sent me to this company as their installers, so I fully intended to use them thinking everything would run smoothly. I needed 3 faucets and 3 toilets replaced, and 2 tile floors (total square footage of 98 sq. ft.) replaced. I had already purchased all of the materials at Home Depot and they had been delivered and were sitting on a pallet in my garage. The man that came to give me an estimate never looked me in the eyes, never smiled, didn't seem to be having a good day at all. I explained to him and showed him all of the materials in the garage so that he did not include them in the estimate. I asked him specific questions about replacing the tile floors, eg; do we take the molding off of the bottom of the walls, what about the area with tiles on the bottom of the walls, etc. This guy gave me flippant, casual answers taht showed me he either wasn't really listening to me or just didn't care about the job. He said I would get an estimate in 2-3 days. Two weeks later I get an estimate for $6,500!!!! I have already asked around and did my own internet search and found that the going rate for tile floor replacement in my area is $7 to $10 per square foot, so I expected an estimate about $1500-$2500, depending on what they were going to charge for faucet and toilet replacement. The amount of the $6500 dedicated to tiel floor replacement made the cost about $41 per sq. ft. I could not read the estimate clearly, so I thought maybe the guy (who was not interested in anything I had to say the day of the estimate) had forgotten and added the cost of materials to the estimate. When I called them to ask the only response I got was and quot;So you don't want the service then?and quot; They wouldn't even look to see if that was the error or if the estimate was legitimate. I would NEVER use these people for anything, they were rude, uninterested in the job (and I have an entire kitchen to do, so they lost out on a truly BIG job).

Description of Work: Was attended to by someone at majestic who set up an appointment to come and see my project (two bathrooms) which he did. Then he gave me the business card of a contractor to call. The contractor came to see the project and said he would give me an estimate "in a few days". Its been two weeks and I have not heard back from the contractor or majestic. Am moving on!

excellent service, from soup to nuts. Go visit Barbara..she will help you design the perfect bathroom. As far as the kitchens go, they have several quality salespeople . I spoke with bill and had everything taken care of quickly and professionally.they offer high end quality for competitive prices..if you want to do it yourself they will also help you, but they are really known for helping from design to completion. I wanted a funky medicine cabinet and they gave me everything I needed and more.Thank you

Walked in majestic kitchen and bath... Walked around with my husband and daughter for an hour and was never approached by anyone to ask if we needed help. When leaving the showroom, we stopped at the front desk to inquire about an appointment and the receptionist was speaking to a designer. We said excuse me and proceeded to ask if we can make an appointment for during the week. The receptionist turned to the designer she was conversing with and says " would you like to meet the", and the designer walks away and says " no I cannot I have an appointment in a few minutes".. Did not even introduce herself or make a slight effort to be professional and courteous. After that the receptionist tries to get the attention of a male designer who is with a customer and simply asks him how long he would be so that he could just meet us. He waves his hand and points to his watch as if he has no time. Sadly his customer turns to us and says " oh I will just be a few more minutes".. At that point my husband and I were so disgusted at the service we already knew that we were not going to use this company. I have to say that my husband is Hispanic and has dark skin and quite honestly the designers in that store made us feel so uncomfortable and we did feel that is was race related. They were disgusting and we do not recommend it to anyone. Especially if you are from an ethnic background! We were warned of it but felt if first hand! Beware

Their customer service is good. When I purchased a vanity, we had measurements from my contractor. The contractor didn't realize that one of the walls was just two and a half inches. Majestic came out and made the adjustments, although it wasn't their fault. They did not charge me anything. They were very good. Their service was excellent. When the contractor installed the faucet on a marble vanity top I purchased from Majestic, he ruined it and was oil based tardy and it seeped into the marble. Again it wasn't Majestic's fault but they have agreed to reduce the cost to replace it. I would use them in the future.

I was very pleased with the end result. My only complaint would be that it took a very long time for the cabinets to come in. The installation people were wonderful, and I would defiantly recommend them.

I like that they have a very responsive and personalized design service. We are still assembling everything but we are happy with the vanity, the service, and their flexibility. They really bend over backwards to get you what you want and to make delivery easy.

I highly recommend them to others. They have done 2 big projects and one small project for me. They are very reliable unlike others. They stay behind their products and if I don’t like them they replace it. They are pricey but they are reliable. They have given me a recommendation for the cabinet maker. They also suggested a painter to me.
