Whenever I needed to contact Howard about any part of the project , He would return my call immediately. All of his workers were efficient and Howard's managers were so helpful. This was a very difficult job and it and it was handled with care and excellence!

HFM Company has been my go to company for about 15 years. We have done a complete renovation our home with Howard's staff. Plumbing, Electrical, Remodeling - everything has been done to my exacting standards. HFM Company has good people who do good work - every time. I highly recommend them!

I would like to give a reference for Howard Molen and HFM Builders. I had been recommended by our building, 45 Tudor City Place in New York City to reach out to him for some renovations to our studio apartment that needed completing. When I spoke with Howard by phone he was extremely professional and answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease with the whole process of renovations. We basically wanted for him to re-paint our studio apartment with minor wall repairs and his pricing was very reasonable and was able to get all of the necessary approvals, insurance, needed to get the job done. He even came to our apartment at 5am to meet with our tenant before she had to goto work to asses the scope of work that needed to be done. Such dedication. In the end we hired him to do the job which took a little less than one week to complete which he promised to do so we were able to get our place listed in a timely fashion to find a new tenant. I would highly recommend Howard and his crew at HFM builders.

They did my bathroom renovation. I initially was very happy with the work. However, a few months later, the pipes burst and destroyed the apt below me. Turns out they used illegal plastic pipes and skipped the waterproofing steps. Now they dodge all calls from me and insurance and I can' t get the money from them to pay for all of the repairs and two weeks of moving to a hotel. He will not take responsibility for his illegal work and it' s a financial catastrophe for me.

HFM provides exceptional service! Their quality is 2nd to none, that I have seen. Working with Howard and his team has been a pleasure from the first phone conversation to the very last invoice!

HFM always follows thru on what they say they will do. They perform quarterly maintenance on condos we own in Manhattan. Howard and his teams are always responsive, friendly on any work that needs to be done - ranging from minor to major projects.

What a great pleasure to write a 5 stars review about the extremely high quality workmanship, integrity, reliability, carefulness, cleanliness, creativity, professionalism, great value and common sense practicality shown us by HFM Builders and Howard Molen. Howard was incredibly responsive to my calls -- including repeatedly over the weekends! -- which was so appreciated because I am a novice as to renovations, and needed a lot of basic advice and guidance. Howard gave us great recommendations and alternatives on many aspects of the renovation, with great suggestions and information always at the tip of his fingers. He was consistently fair-minded and explained things well. He was respectful of our co-op rules and worked extremely well with the property manager. While I am a novice, I know enough to know how rare it is to find a contractor as incredibly responsive (and just plain professional, fair and nice!) as Howard. He uses his own employees, not subcontractors, and as a result there is a consistency of quality and trustworthiness that is highly prized. Kostek, HFM's employee-foreman, is an outstanding individual in every way. To our huge advantage, Kostek's own personal standards are extremely high and he does not compromise on quality of work; more than that, his judgment and great ideas meant wonderful improvements to our design and a truly terrific result. Kostek is trustworthy, open-minded, professional, genuine and fair, and we never had a moment's concern about Kostek and his HFM colleagues being in the apartment on their own. I was expecting, given what one hears about renovations/contractors, to have repeated problems but we had the opposite experience. We felt so lucky to be working with the high quality professionals of HFM and will absolutely hire them for any future work. We cannot recommend HFM, Howard or Kostek more highly!

Howard is a real rarity in contracting. He is extremely committed to his clients and the people who work for him. The process in this remodel was great. I relied on him and his team to do a great job and they did! I really recommend HFM Company and Howard Molen enough!
