 + 0 moreThis is the second time we have had work done and would recommend them to everyone. We worked together on the design and budget. Mike again offered ideas to improve on our design from a construction perspective..they work every day until the job is done with no delay. They started it on time and finished when planned.
Description of Work: Removed old deck and built new enlarged deck with roof.

 + -1 moreThird time I have worked with Mike and have been pleased with the results all three times. He does a great job, cleans up so you don't even know he was there and very professional. Would recommend him.
Description of Work: New metal roof on 3 car garage. Installed 2x4 collar ties in attic space. Replaced 2 ft. of plywood on both sides. Removed chimney pipe and patched hole.

 + 0 moreMike and his father and brother came to do the work on Friday, 9/21/12. They didn't put down drop cloths, so I asked them not to walk on the wall to wall carpet with their sneaks. Father and brother worked on the basement windows and Mike replaced the weatherstripping on the doors. I didn't like the grab bar Mike brought so I went to Lowe's and purchased another one. When he went upstairs, he took off his sneaks and did a fine job. I also asked him to do some extra work, such as replacing the caulk in the bathtub and repairing and painting some areas around the roof window in the master bedroom. Mike and his father and brother did a fine job and spent about 4-4 1/2 hours here. If I could make a suggestion to many self employed people, I would suggest that they keep in better contact with people requesting work to be done. I had to call Mike a few times before he came to give us an estimate. Then after he sent the estimate, we called and told him we wanted him to do the work. He said it would be about two weeks before he would get to us. We waited about a month before calling him again to ask when he would do the work. He then said that he would come in the middle of the next week and try to give us a day's notice. He then called on Thurs. night and left a message saying he would be here Friday morning. I had to call him and ask what time they would be here. Despite all that, they did a fine job and were professional. Just wish they had cloth drop cloths and/or booties.
Description of Work: Two wood framed basement windows were replaced with vinyl windows. Two outside doors were removed and old weatherstripping replaced. Flashing checked on roof windows and greased the window opener. Shower grab bar installed. Furnace pipes on the roof were checked for proper sealing.

Description of Work: Our roof was leaking directly into the cellar after a bad rain storm. I called Mike because he had come another time for a similar problem and was prompt and completed the task to our satisfaction. This time he came over and assessed the problem, saying it was the flashing around the fireplace chimney. He fixed the flashing and my husband asked him if he could sand down another pipe sticking out of the roof as it was rusting. He put down tarps and sanded and spray painted the pipe. He did a wonderful job and charged us $50. This man is a gem. He is prompt, courteous and knows what he is doing.

 + 0 moreMike was prompt and courteous and did a wonderful job. We do not expect to have any more leaking from that site.
Description of Work: After experiencing heavy rain, water was leaking from the roof into our cellar. I called Mike and he came over the next day and looked over everything to determine the problem and then came back the next day to fix the problem. The pipe leading from our fireplace had a flange around it that was knocked loose probably from snow and the seal was broken. He caulked all the openings and sanded and spray painted the other pipe next to it because it showed signs of rusting.
