Tom Morelli, who is the second-generation owner, is the consummate professional. When he says he will show up at 8 a.m., he's there at at 7:59 - or earlier. And he does great work. The company is in high-demand; so he had to postpone the starting date a few times, but once he committed, he ran a well-oiled machine and was so reliable. He really is a breath of fresh air in an industry that has a lot of bad actors.

Received 3 estimates and Suburban was the 2nd lowest, but also included some Belgium block retaining wall around a small garden. Out of the 3 estimates and talking to Tom I felt confident that he would do a good job and he did not let me down. Tom Morelli and his crew did a great job and cleaned up well after ripping up the old driveway and putting down the new layer. Would definitely recommend them and hire them for future work. Very happy with the finished product.

When we first met Tom and he delivered the estimate I explained I had a tight timeline due to a pending fence install which was contingent on the driveway demolition work. Tom told me that he would meet my schedule and emphasized that he was very busy and to make sure I called him on specific dates, which I did. Tom was extremely responsive and met my tight schedule. The quality of the work was first rate and the price was competitive. I am very happy that I selected Suburban Asphalt & Concrete over the other contractors which I received estimates.

He was open and honest and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. He communicated with us at all times, so we never had to follow up or question anything. We always knew what was happening. It went very well. They showed up when they promised, and answered phone calls promptly. I just would have liked the driveway sealed after the asphalt was placed, but was told they no longer do that.

From the first phone call to when the work was completed, Tom, his son Jason, and their crew were professional and hardworking. I always received a call back and both Tom and Jason answered any questions we had. They went above and beyond to complete the work on a very tough time schedule, fit us in their schedule when we needed to rearrange things because of other work being completed on the house, in between all the rain we had this past spring. We are completely pleased with the results. We would highly recommend them for any concrete needs and would definitely hire them again to do more work when the need arises. Tom Morelli was friendly, professional and had a very easy going personality. He came to give us an estimate when he said he would, and kept us updated as we made changes. We were absolutely thrilled when it was all completed, and done in a timely manner. His workers were friendly and knowledgeable.

Tom and his team did excellent work. Price was reasonable. Work was done in a timely fashion and of high quality. Absolutely would recommend Tom and Suburban Asphalt and would hire them again for any future projects.

The men came when they said they would and did a very neat job. They returned the next day to remove the tape and markers and do the final touches. The side now looks very even and level. They also filled in some cracks in the concrete surround a brick fireplace on the rear patio at no extra charge.

Tom and crew did the work over 3 separate occasions in the span of 3 weeks. His team first removed the old driveway and installed the dry well, and installed the new cement walkways. Then over the course of a few weeks, we needed to let the soil settle from the rain and Tom would add more soil to make sure that the ground was even and would not sink. After the soil had settled, Tom came back to pave the drive way. Overall Tom is very friendly and very easy to work with. He's very knowledgeable about stone, grading and asphalt. I changed the scope of work slightly and asked for another gutter to be routed to the dry well. Tom did the work without asking for any additional fees. Also, Tom more importantly was genuinely interested in ultimately solving the problem I was trying to tackle than trying to look for more ways to make money. I would recommend Suburban Asphalt to anyone, and I plan to use them again for some patio work in the future.

They did a great job, always on time, quick and quality work. Very easy to work with.

After confirming I would like to work with them the next day after obtaining the quotation I was asked to wait 2 weeks to settle on a date not once, not twice, but 3 times. So 6 weeks went by, he said he'd call to schedule a date but never did. Waste of time. If the project was misquoted, he could have just admitted or tell me it's too small of a job.

Suburban Asphalt is a top notch company. Their price was also great. Tom and his crew are awesome. They worked at my house during a heat wave. Tom on site for entire job. They driveways and walkways look phenomenal. Tom is a great guy. You can bounce ideas and suggestions off him with ease. They entire process from start to completion was a breeze for me. We will definitely be using them for paver patio in yard when the time comes. Highly recommend anybody looking to do any concrete, asphalt, and or pavers to give them a call.

Tom and crew did a great job. I think if you want asphalt you hire an asphalt guy and not a mason and we had estimates from both. Tom knew his stuff and was more than able to handle the small amount of pavers we wanted as accents. In fact when we told Tom what we wanted he offered to put in more rows because he thought the job would look better and he did not raise the price he had already given us. He communicated freely by both email and phone - very responsive. Nice guy.

Best way to contact Tom the owner, I found, was email. Responses were timely. Tom showed up for evaluation, explained what needed to be done and gave me the price, written down. He and crew came on time, were polite, did the work neat & clean. I would recommend this contractor without reservation.

It went no where. I made the appointment in April for a job to be completed in the beginning of June. It is now August and after numerous phone calls and delayed appointments, they have stopped returning my calls. This is the first bad review i have ever given on Angie's list.

Excellent. From planning until the last day, Suburban Asphalt, Tom and his crew were courteous, prompt, professional and responsive to questions that arose during the work. Beautiful work, reasonable price, on time. No excuses. We've had many contractors in many trades work on the renovation of our home. When you've planned and invested in your home, you want professionals who work on your home as if it were their own. Their craftsmanship and pride are appreciated. The details count. I would recommend Suburban, Tom and his crew without hesitation.

Tom was EXTREMELY friendly, knowledgeable, professional and showed up the day and time he said he would. There was absolutely no clean up for me as his crew removed everything, not even a coffee cup was left behind by mistake. I would 10000% recommend using them to friends and family and will be contacting him again later down the road for patio and stoop work.
