Description of Work: We woke up with water pouring out of our water tank- we shut of the gas and water connection, and contacted Sears4myhome- we have a warranty on the appliance because we bought it there...24 hours later, Sears came, and the contracted worker (they are all contracted with Sears) couldnt get through the phone loop to speak to his supervisor. He tried over an hour- really pathetic. Finally, after the 4th rep, and explaining for the 4th time that he needed to validate our service agreement, the rep couldn't locate it. In frustration, we decided to forego Sears, and I called Rich at Mako. He came right over, assessed the problem, went out and bought a new tank, installed it, and had us up and running in less time it took to wait in the phone cue for Sears. Mako has always come through for us, providing same day service, honest pricing, and I urge everyone to call Rich first! He's done a sump pump, a slop sink, and now-our water tank. I am so grateful for Mako- hands down- the best service.

Description of Work: They converted our heating system from oil to gas and installed baseboards on the first floor. They did a great job. They charged $125 for an estimate, but it's worth it. they were always punctual and responsible. Richard, who was in charge, was great. He explained everything in detail so we could understand. It was a big job, so small problems started occurring later. Every time we called and reported a problem, they came in the next day and fixed it. We will definitely use them again. Thank Mako for the wonderful job. The heating system is working great.

Description of Work: Fixing two bathrooms.

Description of Work: Needed a gas line extended for an outdoor natural gas grill. Called for an estimate and was advised the quote would cost $125... which can be applied towards the price of the job. So, if they come back with an unreasonable estimate, we've lost $125!

Description of Work: They really do old fashion custom service. They replaced our entire kitchen faucet.

Description of Work: I called twice for an estimate on oil to gas conversion but never received a call back. Two weeks later I did receive a telephone call stating that they did not service my area. (Note that the receptionist who initially took my call did not know this. Why not? ) Later I received another call apologizing for the error. This was followed up by a care. Angie's list certainly has influence and I thank you for that. Mako is trying hard but needs to train its phone answering staff better. If in their area, I would probably try them.
