It could not have gone better! I contacted Mako by email through Angie's list late on a Friday night. Richie called me the next morning and came that same day! Tyrone, the plumber, was very nice and extremely neat. I didn't have the filter on hand and he went to the local plumbing supply store to get it for me. After my plumber retired, I didn't know who to call and went by the reviews on Angie's list. I am so glad that I called Mako. What extremely nice people! I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my neighbors.

Two man showed up on time, they were polite and professional and worked quickly and neatly.

Jay and Ted showed up for an emergency leak had at my home with 45 minutes of me calling. They explained to me in detail regarding the trap went being clogged and the steps they were going to take fix it. Very friendly and professional, I would recommend them to others.

Jay arrived on time and performed the entire job within a timely manner. Explained in detail the problem & how he was going to fix it.

Exceptionally well. No one wants such a big job but the water heater lasted 25+ years so that was some comfort. I've had MAKO for plumbing services on several occasions and I would not have considered another vendor for the job. MAKO was ready to come out immediately but I had to go to work so early the next morning, Jay and Tedd came out. Friendly, courteous and very thorough. They explained why the interior of the water heater could not be replaced and explained the additional work involved with removing and reconnecting the unit. First the water heater was tucked away in a part of my sub-basement that was cramped and crowded with discarded things. The unit was 50 gallons and it had to be drained of all of the water. Jay & Tedd knew the house from before and told me to relax, that they would move things out of the way for me. It was a lot of junk but they said they would take care of it. The unit not only had to be disconnected, and drained, but hauled up the sub-basement steps and down my narrow driveway. They came back within the hour with the new unit, reconnecting the unit after having to cut and redirect the heating pipe to accommodate the new unit. The unit was fired up and all was well. It was a huge job and I never doubted or concerned myself with the job. When I was called downstairs I saw a new unit and a mopped up basement floor with all of my junk neatly tucked to the sides for easy access. And lets not forget hot water! They are the first I call. They will remain the first I will call. There was a lot of work involved before they could even get to the unit but both took that in stride. It is very much appreciated. GA

I can't say enough about, Tyrone, the plumber who worked on it. He was very professional, explained to me what needed to be done and tried to make it as convenient as possible for the whole family. He had a super personality that invited you to ask questions and address your concerns. He finished in a timely manner and left the place cleaned and the sink ready to use. I was impressed with his knowledge of plumbing and felt confident about the work he did.

Everything was awesome. Jay showers up on time, told me my options, stuck to the price & stayed until the job was done.

We paid and asked them to leave. If they were going to charge for an estimate I never would have called them. Rip off artists.

Mako Plumbing and their tech Jay are great! My husband and I had been using another plumbing company for the last two years and have been unhappy with their service, so when we had a sudden cesspool backup due to issues with the cesspool itself, we made it a point to find a new and good plumber to help us with remediation. After spending a few hours doing online research and going through tons of reviews on Angie's List, I came across Mako and their stellar reviews and thought I had finally found one I think we'd like! When I called, however, a very nice woman (named Nancy?) said they don't normally service our town but she would speak to the owner and let them know our situation, and that I had searched and searched on Angie's List hoping to go with them! That being said, I got a call about an hour later and they said that as long as I was willing to wait for an appointment later in the week when they had a tech scheduled to work in a town a little closer to me, then they would make the trip out. As the work we needed wasn't that urgent, I agreed to the appointment. Two days later their tech Jay came, and what a refreshing and pleasant difference from the last plumber we were using! Jay was very friendly, professional, and informative, and was very neat and clean using drop cloths and cleaning up after the work was done. Throughout the appointment, he took the time to explain to me what was wrong with our pipe, what he needed to do to fix it, and what our options were, and was very efficient with the work he performed. When he was done he also took the time to give me some tips and advice on troubleshooting and warning signs in the future, which I appreciated as a new homeowner. They were also reasonably priced, and Jay said they did indeed have a few clients in our town just not many, so if my husband and I were to call for service as repeat clients in the future they would definitely to come out our way again. Thanks Jay! Glad to have found a plumber we are happy to work with. Will definitely call them going forward with any issues as our go-to plumber!

Very well. I was told by a different company that I needed a whole new faucet, which meant breaking into the wall and replacing tiles. Jay checked it out and was able to fix the problem without changing the faucet, which saved me a lot of money. He explained everything and did a great job.

Jay did a great job troubleshooting and fixing the problem. They worked with me on scheduling and Jay went the extra mile so that I wouldn't have to run up and down with my bad knee. The work was clean and very professional. He even brought a floor mat with him to keep the floors clean. Now I know who to go to if I need more work done.

The technician was promptly here at schedule time of appointment, the job was explained in detail. The estimate was given. Job was completed with my consent.

The plummer was clean and professional. But their policy is you have to agree to a $150.00 house call even if they don't do the job, as if they never saw a faucet before. Then they charged $350.00 for 1 hours worth of work. took 10 minutes to remove the bolt, another 20 minutes to install the new one. Wish I could get $350 per hour..
