Yes! Makos' Jay was professional and friendly. He explained the entire job to me and gave me the estimate. He also gave me some tips on future jobs I was interested in. Although the weather was rainy and windy He stuck it out and finished the job in the time he estimated. Will use this plumber again.

As always, it went very well. A message left with the home office was answered quickly and an appointment made to review various options. The sink was put on order and the job was completed in less than 1 week. Tim was polite, professional, precise with both the measurements and the installation of the new sink and willingly explained each step in the process. Mako has been my go-to plumbing company for many years. I have always been happy with both their professionalism and quality of work. I have referred several friends all of whom have been equally pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Showed up quoted price without even diagnosing issue. It was pretty obvious that it was a financial call instead of a customer service call. After coming to a mutual conclusion of repair issue serviceman proceeded to quote an astronomical price for repair. Company can set there service fees as they see fit but this particular instant was a disingenuous overreach. Will never use or reccomend this vendor.!!!!!

The job went well. My only issue was the price. It seemed a little too much but I'm not an expert and i didn't have the opportunity to shop around first. I needed the job done quickly. They came in very professional and got it done so I paid for it. Next time I will research a little more but I will definitely call Mako plumbing if any other plumbing issues arise.

Our bathroom sink was clogged. I took apart the drain pipes under the sink but the clog was deeper in the pipes in the wall. Found Maco on Angie's list and they came that afternoon. Very Prompt. They fixed the problem and reassembled the pipes I had taken apart. Very professional and quality work. If you are looking for fast, quality service I would recommend them.

The worker was punctual and professional. He explained every detail of the nature of the problems, why they likely occurred and how to best repair them. It was obvious that he was very knowledgable regarding the materials used including how they were manufactured and what made one superior over another. He also did not quote prices without calling into his office first. The work was very well done. Definitely recommended!

A week ago, we woke up to a very cold house, during a very cold spell, on a Friday. I called Mako because I have used their services on other occasions, for emergencies and otherwise, and have always been satisfied with their responsiveness and professionalism. This time was no different. I spoke to Nancy first thing in the morning. Although their technicians were fully booked for the day (as one would expect during a cold snap), she assured me that she would do her best to get someone out to our house as soon as possible. I think it important to mention how much I appreciated that the very first person I dealt with at Mako was so kind and competent. Nancy set the tone for the entire experience. Several hours later Stefan arrived. I was immediately impressed with his confidence and competence. We have a two-zone heating system, the trappings of which can be confusing to some. Not so for Stefan; he assured me that he wouldn't leave our residence until the issue was resolved. Several hours later, true to his word, we were back in business, heat restored. An added bonus, he cleaned up the area before leaving. A+, all the way.

I requested a quote for an Oil to Gas conversion from Mako P&H, however no one got back to me. I called them and they said the charge for a onsite visit is $125. I thought it was not fair considering that I had to review quotes from different contractors to make a decision. Unfortunate that a company would refuse to bid on a project/provide free no obligation estimate. Also, the charge for the visit is not mentioned anywhere in their profile.

As we mentioned when we spoke, our "service charge" policy is one of the components that help us obtain excellent ratings and truthfully stay in business. We charge $125 to come out and inspect any job/give an estimate. Once we give a price and the customer proceeds with the job, we waive the service charge. Please keep in mind, Mako is a fully licensed and insured Plumbing company. You mentioned in your review that it was unfair to be charged an estimate charge, likewise a negative review for work not even completed is equally unfair. New and existing customers understand and respect our policy as they value the service we provide. As an Angie's List customer you could see close to 600 positive reviews from customers who use our services and incidentally do mention we charge a service fee to come out and rectify/estimate the situation. Our professionalism honestly and quality is what makes our customers happy and confident in calling us for all their plumbing needs. May we also share with you, how many great, long time customers we have acquired over the years who at first were reluctant to pay the $125 and were happy they did so afterwards. We have completed hundreds of oil to gas conversion calls like this and our existing customers understand that there is a cost to send a licensed and insurance technician and truck to your home. Mako customers realize the value of paying a company you can trust a fair amount only after being disappointed by "free estimate" companies. Good luck and we are here if you need us."

Used them to fix items on an inspection report including boiler relief valves, expansion tank draining and service, check waste water pipe. Great work, and even came back a few days later to drain an old expansion tank that was causing a valve to leak. No charge. Stand by their work and made it right. No complaints to.

Amazing. Jay was wonderful. Took two days to drill through concrete and wood, but he never quit. It was an awful messy job. He replaced pipes, dug through decades of debris and did a great job. Long days without a single complaint. Definitely hire again although I hope I never have to.

When I called the office I spoke to Nancy and I told her I found them on Angie's list. I told her my problem and she said that she will get someone and call me back. She called back right away tell me that Jay will be here in fifteen minutes. Jay showed up right away and whet through the problem. He informed me that it will cost $125.00 either way if I hired him or not, I told him Nancy went over everything with me. He checked the dishwasher to make sure it was the problem.which it was not. He had to cut the wall open to fine that the metal pipe had holes in it, which he showed me. We went over a price to fix it and I felt it was reasonably. He worked for four hours fixing the pipe, he showed me everything he was doing. He cleaned up after he was finished and took all trash with him. Jay as well as Nancy was very professional and informed me about everything before starting. I will use them agai.n.

I found Mako Plumbing & Heating, Inc. using Angie's List and I selected them because they were rated highly and were nearby. Jay did a fantastic job. He arrived on time and was extremely professional throughout the entire repair. He even brought his own doormat to wipe his shoes on before entering the house. He provided estimates before starting the repairs and made sure I clearly understood what repairs needed to be done. Originally, we thought only one pipe (coming out of the house) needed to be replaced that fed the sprinkler system, but Jay discovered that the vacuum breaker had also cracked. Since he didn't have that part on his truck, he went to a plumbing supply store that was a little farther away to buy a good quality part rather than to a big box store. He returned promptly and replaced the broken vacuum breaker carefully. Throughout the entire repair, Jay was willing to answer all of my many questions, and he explained each part of the process as he was doing it. He checked both the toilet and the pipe feeding the sprinkler for leaks when he had finished the repair and made sure everything was working properly. I even observed that Jay kept a very clean and neat truck with everything labeled clearly so it could be found easily. Also, when I called to make the appointment, the woman on the phone, who was extremely polite, suggested that I take the first appointment in the day so there would be no waiting. I admire those who clearly take pride in their work and who complete their work carefully and competently. I would highly recommend Jay as a service technician as well as Mako Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
