Went fine. Took less than 5 minutes and I thought the fee was kind of high for the time spent. I did get a follow-up call from the owner following the services. We had a good discussion on my pricing concern. I appreciated the call and that he took the time to get my feedback. Beacause of this I woudl consider using them in the future.

After sending an inquiry online I received a response within 2 hours. The plumber was dispatched within a couple of hours. He explained the issue and described the possible solutions. Since my house is older the pipes are made of a material that tends to narrow. He used a snake to clear the drain but explained if that did not work, the piping would have to be changed. The snaking worked and I was given a solution to keep the pipes cleared.

Jayson was wonderful! He clearly explained what he was doing during each step of the repair. This polite professional did a terrific job and was very careful to made sure all was working perfectly before cleaning up. I would most definitely contact this company again if needed.

I called Mako and the secretary said she could have someone there the next day! We opted for 2days later and she assured that someone would be there between 8-9am. Jayson came at 8:15am! He was very professional and kept me apprised of each of his findings. Turns out, we had several issues which changed the scope of the job. We had a leak in he toilet waste pipe, and the pile crumbled when Jayson removed the latrine to assess the leak. We also needed our line snaked both indie the house and out to the street and needed a vent added to the slop sink in the basement. Jayson was at my house from 815 until 430 pm. He called a coworker to bring him a power snake and a new toilet as our old one could not be retrofitted to the new waste pipe. I was very pleased with the quality of work and very impressed with how professional Jayson and Ted (his coworker) were!! I would recommend them and definitely call again!

Jayson came in and assessed what needed to be done, came up with an estimate and then proceeded to work. He was kind, courteous, neat and true to his word. The installation was done and he cleaned up after himself. He left my kitchen in better shape than when he walked in. I would recommend Mako and Jayson if I had any additional work that needed to be done.

I called Mako plumbing on May 23, 2013 after reading the great reviews on Angie's List. The person who answered the phone was pleasant and advised me someone would be able to come to my house the next day . Richard came on time and I explained that I had a leak outside the bathroom door. He took his time to ask me questions, answer my questions, and to look around the house to ascertain the cause of the leak. He was very patient and explained the process of eliminating possible causes, based on his examination, some testing and my answers to his questions. He determined that the probable cause was the toilet waste pipe. He then advised what was involved in fixing the leak and the cost. Throughout this whole process, I was impressed with his knowledge and patience. He apologized for not being able to fix the leak right away, but he explained that he needed to get certain parts and order the new toilet. I agreed to have the work done on May 29, 2013. Once again Richard arrived on time, and got to work. He kept me informed during the entire job, explaining what he was doing and answering any questions I had. The work was done as neatly as possible, with rugs to protect my carpet and drop cloths to keep the dust from spreading. After the work was completed, Richard and his assistant did a good job of cleaning up. I would recommend Richard and Mako Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done. It was great to find a knowledgeable person, who does excellent work, and is pleasant to deal with.

If you're looking for a plumber, call this one. Rich came by, (as he said he would, promptly, etc.) and gave us an estimate for several jobs. He spent a good deal of time understanding what we wanted to do and gave us a thorough explanation of our options. I had no reservations about hiring Mako whatsoever. After deciding on the scope of our work we set the date and he was more than accommodating when we changed our mind on what we wanted to do (multiple times at that). His team did everything we asked, left no mess, and were completely professional and trustworthy. So they get a huge A++ from me, for being everything and more: prompt, responsible, conscientious, reliable, courteous, clean, flexible, competent, customer-focused, etc. We plan on employing them again for additional work. Very professional at start and did part of work. Called to get the balance. Done gave very high estimate and never called back. Had remainder of work completed by licensed plumber for $1350. 1st call, immediate response and 2nd call, no response.

After finally reaching an endpoint to repairing the damage from Sandy which included the installation of a new carpet, we had a leak in our antiquated cast iron radiator which was beginning to saturate the carpet. Jason from Mako arrived within hours of our call and diagnosed and fixed the leak. Before entering our house he introduced himself, laid down a floor mat with the Mako logo to insure the cleanliness of our home. He also diagnosed problems we were having with our zone valve and the safety valve on the gas boiler. He took the time to drive to a supply store to find the right parts that our old radiator needed. After completing the job, as he was writing the bill A new problem developed; a pipe broke on the tankless water heater and he went the extra mile to stay longer and fix that as well. He was always considerate and polite, expressing concern about procedures that affected the work we put into renovating our home after Sandy such as our new paint job. It's nice to have a caring technician!

I recently moved into my mom,s house so I could help keep up the house and make many needed repairs. First on the list was to fix all plumbing issues. The flushometers in 2 bathrooms had issues. I contacted Mako Plumbing and they came to give a quote and recommended replacing both flushometers due to age of the original plumbing. I went with their quote and recommendation and am very happy with the results.

They were very nice over the phone and quick in setting up an appointment. They came to the office and fixed the issue within a reasonable amount of time.

Moved back home after 6 months of repairs from Sandy. Had 2 issues...a laundry drain backup and then a sewage backup into our bathtub/toilet. Rich S. came to my house, was very professional and extremely helpful. Explained everything so I could understand and did an awesome job. Unfortunately an old contractor poured concrete in my crawl space and covered the main plumbing lines which Rich and had to break up just to get to the trap so he could snake the line. All in all, he fixed the problems and really made me feel at ease so I will definitely be calling these guys first if I ever have other plumbing issues.

MAKO service is excellent as always! Adonis arrived early, worked efficiently and effectively and got the job done! The 50-gallon water heater was old (1989) and leaking. Adonis confirmed it needed to be replaced. Once I approved the job he left to get a new water heater and returned withing 30 minutes as promised. He worked diligently to remove the old tank and make ready for the replacement. The location was a great challenge as it is housed about 4 feet below the basement level. Removing it was a multiple-man job. He called for assistance and along with his collegaues effectively moved the thing to the backyard for removal. the actual install was finished within what seemed liked minutes. Adonis and his colleagues were all courteous, polite, and good natured gentlemen. I highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

made an opening in the downstairs bathroom cieling to check for water dripping onto cieling, unable to find leak. went to upstairs bathroom and ran the bathtub water, noted water leaking from the spigot. he replaced the pipe that went into the spigot and recaulked the spigot back in place. this is the third time ihave used this company and they have been very prompt, reliable and proffessional. would definitely recommend them.

.I had to change the original appt and was given one the next day without any problems.The plumber arrived within the time frame given and was very professional and courteous. He performed the repairs he originally explained to me and cleaned up when he was done.My sink is no longer leaking and draining without problems.

Great experience! We had several issues throughout the house. Toilets and drains needed clearing. Our kitchen faucet was leaking and our main line needed to be cleaned. Rick was great! He was on time and explained every step of what needed to get done. He offered advice on how to maintain the drains/toilets so we would not need a cleaning as often. The prices were a little expensive but he was negotiable with everything we had done. I would use them again and recommend them to everyone!

The service was professional, friendly and timely. I called about 7:30 am and was told that they would be able to get to me that day, but probably not until the afternoon. The technicial turned up around 3:00, analyzed the situation, and gave me the price. He did his business neatly and efficiently and within 40 minutes I could safely flush the toilets and run water in the sinks. No surpises, no "extras," no nonsense. The same sort of backup occurred perhaps 5 or 6 years ago. I called someone out of the phone book who performed the same service for a whole lot more money. In my book Mako is tops, plus I had an Angie's list coupon and got 10% off.

..I was very happy and the leaking faucet was fixed and still all working well. I would call again . This is my second experience with this company. I will be happy to use this company again.

In fairness they did respond on snow day, where many didnt even answer their phones, We had an problem with our 2 year old high efficney gas boiler. I had ask if they where familiar with them and there response was yes. A technician did spend two hours looking at the unit, attempting to jump various faults the computer in boiler shown. Together we read through he manual, discussing the the lockout codes and their meaning. , The technician cleaned the ignition switch. he attempted to start it and failed many times, finally by chance is started. In joking manner i said, "boy we got lucky there!" He responded, "no I fixed it! Now i said to myself, i watch this fellow from start to end. i read the manual to him, and knew he was a dumbfounded as i was. Just before the boiler started, he was read to give up, the boiler automatically cycled to start. Then he said the mother board on the unit was no good as was the pressure switch and the float switch. I said to him, I find this interesting because during the inspection you said you had jumped each one of those items and found no issue with them. On Sunday the unit died again. On Monday he sent over and estimate for repairs for mother board, float switch and pressure switch. The estimate for repairs was $1975.00, $1300 needed as deposit. Again i question the need, i think he got insulted this time. what set me off, in his note he claim he contacted Burnham , the manufacturer of my boiler. he claimed that i didnt have a warranty because i didn't fill out a registration card. I called Burnham, the out said of course I had a warranty. I ask a friend to recommend someone, he sent over a fellow who actually knew high efficney boilers, determined it was of course none of those issue but a high limit lock out switch. Unfortunately Blackman plumping took a few days to get it, The part was $37.95. Unfortunately, these folks are rated very high in Angie list. if you do use these people I would be very careful. in my opinion there is high probability you will be ripped off.

Very responsive and helpful on the phone first trying to assess the problem. On time and professional and efficient while there. Provided lots of good info and will call them again for future work.

We elected not to proceed with the conversion but the company was a pleasure to deal with and I would use then again in the future.

We had a frozen hot water pipe at our basement laundry room sink burst during the recent cold weather. Of course it happened on a Saturday evening and after shutting off the main water supply and mopping up the flood, I called and left a message with MAKO hoping to get some help on Monday. However Rich called back Sunday morning and because we were without any water in the house, said he would have a plumber out to us that afternoon. George came at 1PM and removed the sink, cut the dry wall to gain access and repaired the damaged section of pipe which had failed at the soldered joint near the cut off valve. Before leaving he stuffed additional insulation around the pipes to protect them from the cold. MAKO was a great find on Angie's list. They were responsive, professional and fair in their pricing which Rich said would be at regular and not off-hour rates because of the extreme cold weather. They also honored the 10% off Angie's list coupon which helped take a little of the sting out of the cost. It wasn't cheap but plumbing work never is. Thank you Rich and George for getting us back to normal so quickly. MAKO will be my plumbing choice in the future.
