This was our second time contacting them. The first time they were unable to do what we were looking for but Rich was friendly and helpful and marked important shut off valves for us and took a look at our boiler to make sure it was up to snuff. Today after much procrastinating on our part we finally called because of issues with some of our radiators. Dawn was friendly and professional on the phone and was able to schedule someone to come out this morning. About a half hour before coming I got a call from Rob letting me know he was on his way. He was big help and fixed our major problem which was no heat coming out of the radiator in our son's bedroom and issues with our bathroom radiator. Rob was great at giving me information and advice and really explained a lot of things to me. I feel like I have a much better understanding of how our heating system works thanks to him. If we have any other plumbing or heating needs we will definitely be calling Mako.

After reading reviews on Angie?s list, I called Mako Plumbing to fix a leak from the first floor bathroom to the basement. I called off hours (the office was closed) and was stunned to get a call back from Dawn within 10 minutes, exceeding my expectations. Jay was very prompt, arriving in the first 15 minutes of a 2 hour window. This was even more impressive considering the severe rainstorm and terrible driving conditions. Jay put a rug down to avoid getting dirt on the carpet. I explained the problem and Jay quickly determined that the over 50 year old shower body was leaking. After agreeing on the estimate for the job, Jay immediately went to work. It was very clear that Jay was an experienced professional and very meticulous. He thoroughly explained all the work that he needed to be done and ensured that I understood everything. After completing the work, he checked that the shower worked and no longer leaked. He insisted that he clean up his work area before he left. I was very pleased with the completed job and without a doubt, highly recommend Mako Plumbing and Jay in particular. Based on this experience, from the immediate call back from Dawn to the finished job by Jay, I would definitely call Mako Plumbing and Heating again.

They are very prompted and they do a good job. One plumber normally comes out and I am very happy with them.

Everything went smoothly starting with Dawn in the office. She contacted Jay, the plumber, while I was on the phone and told me he could come right over; which he did. Jay was very friendly and professional. He had me tell him what I needed done and he gave me an estimate and showed me exactly what he was going to do. He kept me informed throughout the whole job with any issues and had me check his work. Jay took care of everything beautifully. Everything was fixed, the new faucet looks and works great and everything was spotless when he left. Plus he was very nice to my rather noisy dogs!!! All in all a wonderful experience

Everything went very well. Absolutely NO COMPLAINT about the service itself. The plumber was excellent, professional and very nice. He cleaned everything up nicely after completing the work, provided a doorway entrance mat to insure he would not track dirt into the house (though I assured him this was not necessary). If cost is not a concern, I would recommend them for the same scope of work they performed in my houses. My complaint is limited to cost: In my opinion the pricing was very very expensive for the work performed, but I could have paid the $125 visit/provide estimate fee and found me a more reasonable plumber. I made the choice not to as I was already in it for $125 and for the convenience of them already being in my home. The fee was made a bit better as their visit included visiting and performing work in two locations, they gave me a $50 "first time customer" credit for each of the two visits. Yet the charge for replacing the garbage disposal was $450 (before the applied credit) and I provided the disposal. I believe this job was far more expensive than it should have been. Their pricing did not include any "special" circumstances making the job more difficult than an ordinary replacement- out goes the old, in comes the new. Replacing the faucet was a bit more that $200 (I provided the faucet). I am not really complaining about the cost of replacing the faucet as though they did not realize it at the time of pricing, the original faucet was difficult to remove due to rust.

He replaced the valve and leveled the radiator. Now it is working perfectly. He also looked at a water stain that I had in my kitchen and helped me figure out what was leaking. Now I know I need to have my tub regrouted!!!

Jayson was very knowledgable and professional. He explained everything and made sure that we understood everything. The downfall was that they were not punctual. They had to reschedule twice and I was not able to use my washer machine for over three days (I have a big family and need to do laundry every other day). The price was very high for what was actually done and I asked for an estimate on removing a basaboard water heater from my kitchen but I was not called back for the estimate. I called to follow up on the estimate and it appears that there is no record of such estimate even though they had gone to my house to look at the baseboard heater over amonth ago.

The plumber, Jay, came to the house to assess the issue and provide an estimate. Given the age and the style of the leaky faucet he suggested that his office call the manufacturer to see if the parts were covered under warranty, rather than ordering the part at full cost . His suggestion saved us a lot of money! When the parts came in he was back at the house within 48 hours and fixed the issue. Jay was very professional, explained all the work, and was very neat . We also had a great experience when dealing with the office, scheduling the appointment , and the follow-up. We have some minor renovation work that we will be doing soon and we will definitely be calling Mako and Jay. Highly recommended!

From Dawn returning my call promptly, to Jayson showing up on-time and completing the job, Mako was incredible. Jayson was friendly, informative, and knew almost immediately after being shown the issue how to resolve it. Jayson clearly detailed possible options and their estimated cost before he preformed the work. During the job Jayson asked if I'd like to be informed of what was going on - and he showed me at each step of the way what was being done to resolve the leak. Honestly, if the two folks I engaged with at Mako during my plumbing disaster are representative of the company at whole, this is a top-notch/top-tier group. 10/10, would recommend, will use again (hopefully not for any more plumbing disasters).

I could tell from the very first phone conversation that Robert was very professional. He collected all the necessary information and proceed to book the appointment. He called ahead of time to let me know he was in the area and would be ready when I was. Once in the house he proceed to inspect my issue and provide a detail description of my boiler system and how it should operate. Robert identified my issue and was able to fix it right away. I'm very please with his service and will be contacting them again. Good to know there are still companies that take their job very seriously!

They did more than expected for a messy job.

Jayson and Ted showed up promptly, and knew exactly what the problem was when they got here. Originally scheduled for Wednesday, Mako called us when a Tuesday slot opened up and we were able to get our problem solved ahead of schedule. When they came, there was no hand holding, and they deduced the problem from only a couple of questions. Would absolutely use them again, and they were more than reasonable in their priceing. Cannot recommend them strongly enough!!!!!!!

The plumber, Adonis, was punctual, polite and quite efficient. He explained each step to us, providing options and estimates. He was never too busy to address a question or concern. He completed the work in a timely manner, displaying excellent workmanship. His cleanup was meticulous. In addition he recommended a competent contractor to complete repairs.

Jay, from Mako Plumbing, came on time and quickly assessed what needed to be repaired. He was neat and courteous, as well as very methodical in diagnosing the problem with my sink faucet. He also took the time to not only show me the issue, but explain the repair. Better yet, he offered cost effective repair options. The Mako office was really good about setting the appointment and follow up messages...they also respond to email quickly, which is a huge plus for me.

Jay was ready to work 1 hour after placing the service call. Jay was very detailed when explaining the process step by step. This is not my first time employing Mako and it will not be my last!

Work was performed in an excellent manner with no surprises by workman Robert

Early this morning 9/17/14, I called Mako with an emergency. My toilet would not stop running. I spoke with Dawn who told me she could dispatch the first technician available. She was great to deal with when I was panicking this morning. She called within 2 hours and said a technician would be at my home within an hour. Jayson (Jay) from Mako arrived in 40 minutes. He was personable and very professional. He assessed the problem,explained what was wrong and gave us a reasonable quote. He also gave us options on a cut off valve repair in the basement. Additionally, he took a look at our 2nd bathroom and assessed the issues there. The price was also very reasonable. I plan to call them back to repair the 2nd toilet. We're going to request Jayson to come back. It really was a great experience.

The plumber, Jayson, came on time and gave us a price, which we accepted. He performed the requested tasks. The work was clean and professional. After he left, we did notice that he used the drain cap and rim from the old faucet instead of replacing it with the ones that came with the new faucet, which we had purchased at Home Depot. We called the office, and he called us back early the next day. He said that the box containing the new faucet did not contain a new drain, as it should have. He acknowledged he should have mentioned this and apologized. We told him that the old drain rim was partly corroded, so we wanted this replaced. He came back to our house a bit later with a new drain cap and rim from the same manufacturer as the new faucet (Kohler) and replaced the old one. We were very pleased with their responsiveness to this issue and overall very pleased with the work. We would definitely use them again.

Initial tech was late since he got tied up with a job that turned out to be a nightmare. But then Ricky showed up and made things right. He gave me a fair price on the spot and was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Ran into some issues behind the walls but everything was handled professionally and transparently. Ricky was able to quickly communicate what needed to be done and had our confidence right away that it would be done properly. They were very clean and efficient and I have no reservations about recommending Mako and Ricky in particular. Compared to another plumber that was recommended by my home inspector and who installed my water heater, I'm still waiting for an estimate when Mako is done with the job already

I had a great experience with MAKO. I called yesterday afternoon and had an appointment for today. Jay was great. He took the time to explain what he was going to do and the possible outcomes. He was professional, personable and got the job done, plus he cleaned everything before he left. After a long line of different plumbers, we have finally found the best.

Called on Monday afternoon. Showed up on Tuesday morning. Completed the replacement in less than 3 hours, Cleaned up the excess water. Very professional. Explained all of the processes involved in the replacement. This is the second time we have called them. Would call again for any plumbing related problem.

Professional, patient with customer, gives excellent explanations of what and how work was done, makes recommendations. For seniors these qualities are important! Feeling a sense of comfort and trust a key and the Mako plumber always (has been to home previously) provides these experiences. Recommend without reservation.

They are expensive, they are not cheap. I think they came on time and prepared. We would use them again. They tell you what they are going to charge you, it's not a mystery.

Jayson from MAKO showed up right on time and completed the project in about 90 minutes. He's a great guy -- easy to get along with and shoot the breeze. And, he did a great job --truly professional service. My lovely wife and I have called MAKO before, and we will again, if need be. The same goes for the folks on Angie's List, which originally introduced us to MAKO -- I always check with A.L. reviews before making such a call for service.

Jayson evaluated the leak in the kitchen coming from the second floor toilet to see if there was a leak in the lead bend. After pulling the toilet in the second floor bathroom above the kitchen sink and testing to see if the bend was the culprit, it was determined the wax ring had failed. Good news! Instead of 1200 job with possible cutting out ceiling in kitchen, it turned out to be 425. On time, in and out in about an hour. Cleaned up and gave me detailed break down of work completed. He was a gentleman from start to finish. Although all plumbing is an expensive proposition, I'm satisfied the job was done right the first time.
