They were pretty good. They did what they need to do. All they need to do was clean that out and I haven't had a problem since. They came over as a lot quicker than all of the other companies that I had called. It seems like they do a lot more. Pretty much, they did a good job. The price was definitely reasonable given what they had to do.

After Ric left i noticed the machine was dripping. I called the office and received a call back from Ric within the hour. He said he thought it would stop on its own but assured me he would come down again if it didn't. It did slow and eventualy stop (it still drips a little here and there but I keep a bucket under and its fine). While at my house Ric told me that my Baxi has a number of installation mistakes which should be corrected to prevent future issues. Later he sent an estimate and a letter of explanation about the proposed work. Its going to be expensive (around $2000) but I will probably do it since I have had issues on andoff with my Baxi since getting it after Sandy and Ric said that if I do the work proposed he can get it to the point where I will only need a yearly maintenance instead of the constant issues I have been having.

I need to really thank Adonis and his crew . I have had countless plumbers in this old house and in 13 years I have always had water in my basement . Not one prior plumber has ever solved this problem until I hired Mako .This was their second job for me the first was a thermostat . This time it was a huge job and on going problem I have always had water coming from someplace no one could ever fix until now .This required skills and problem solving . If you really need someone who knows how to fix a plumbing problem then call Mako . Adonis replaced my sewer pipe, others pipes and found the other leaking pipes with his ex-ray vision. Their professionalism and care they have given me and my home is fantastic .They are professional plumbers who know how to do their job in an honest ,fast ,clean and reasonably priced fashion .My basement is dry for the first time ever , no more worries thanks Mako .

Jay (plumber) was smart & knowledgeable. He arrived, told us what need to be done w/estimate, we agreed. He started & completed work in 5 hours.

This was their second appoinment.. The first time they came to fix a leaking radiator and repair the bathroom faucet if possible. The radiator was repaired but the faucet was beyound repair and the plumber suggested a local supplier for us to choose a new set. We picked up the set and called Mako for an appointment. They came on time, installed the new faucet set, fixed the toilet and cleaned up everything. Excellent job, very professional, wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommed them. Well done!

Told them it was a clogged tub due to hair and soap, happens all the time, three children, daughter and wife both have long hair. So needs to be snaked and nothing more. Wouldn't give me a price and told me she could take my number and someone would get back to me in a couple of days, "they are on a big job". So for $125 the tech is going to tell me they need to snake the drain, if they do the work we wouldn't be charged a service fee, but if you want $300 to snake my drain no way and than I still owe you $125.... First and foremost already know the problem secondly, told them I am calling them because of Angie's List and noted to them I am a member. I've used Angie's List to do a lot of things from changing the blub in my tv to installing an exterior access for a generator, all of which gave me a general idea of what the cost could be before they came to the home and none of them told me they are too busy to do the job no matter how big the job was. So needless to say I will be looking for a different plumber using Angie's List and recommending to others not to use Mako.

I have a high-efficiency gas boiler that stopped working. Made an appointment this morning and Robert was her at 12:30. He was very familiar with my boiler and fixed it right away.

We have had a leak in our shower for a couple weeks now, we had another plumbing company come who was awful and made things worse. So we called mako to come, their plumber Jay came and was very up front and honest with what could be done. After being explained our options in completion we decided to go forward with the work. It was all done in a couple of hours Jay was great, very professional and attentive. We will absolutely recomend Mako to everyone! Very glad there are still honest and reliable professionals out there!!

I contacted them to have water shut off valves and some pipe replaced. They responded with a generic message that said Mako would contact me shortly.... a month later and still no contact. Glad I didn't want for them to have the job done. My house would have been flooded by now.

The people were very good and the work was done very well. I had a second job for them, but the quote on that was a little too high. Otherwise a good experience.

They scheduled the visit within a day and arrived on time. My questions were answered and the work was completed quickly.

My mother's 23 year old water heater sprung a leak and needed to be replaced. Based on the large amount of positive reviews and their overall rating I reached out to Mako. Unfortunately, they were not able to come that day and I could not wait to get the work done. The owner called me though and was incredibly helpful and professional. He took a good amount of time to let me explain what the issue was, he helped me diagnose (to the extent possible) over the phone and then also walked me through the steps I should take in advance of anyone coming to do the work (ensuring the pilot was turned off, water inlet valve was closed, etc.). He recommended I call someone else and advised some items I should make sure to cover with whoever came to do the work. Even though he was not getting the business, he still was kind enough to help me to the extent he could over the phone and even recommended I not wait but call someone else (you'd expect if they took so much time on the phone with you that he would maybe want you to wait a day to get the business...but that was not the case). Bottom line: very professional, very helpful, and also very empathetic to my situation (my Mother has Alzheimer's). The experience left a very good impression on me. The owner appears to be a good guy who is willing to do what he can for you. Based on this experience I definitely recommend at least giving him a call when you have work to do and I will definitely do so the next opportunity.

Robert took the time to show and explain everything he was doing. Robert is a a rare gem for now a days, He is honest and a true craftsman of his gift. I have a new Plumber!!!! Yeah !! Thank you again for your hard work .Excellent Job Done.

Very simple. Called to schedule. Arrived in under an hour. Evaluated problem and estimated price. Performed service without a hitch.

I found water in the basement after taking a shower. I was "sure" it was the water to the tub/shower. Surprise - the sewer line was backed up between the house and the road. Everything was done professionally and they cleaned up the inevitable mess.

Jason arrived in time and did the work very quickly. He tested the sink was working well before putting all pipes back together.

We noticed a damp basement ceiling, and I took down a few tiles to discover a pin-hole leak in a hot water line. We avoided any wet rugs by putting a bucket under this slow drip, so it was not a great emergency. Called Mako, which has done great work for us in the past. They sent Rob the next day. The leak was in a section of pipe that was awkward to work with because of nearby framing and branch water lines, and the job took about three hours. Since the work was in the basement (no windows) he advised me on how to dissipate the smoke from his soldering, and he temporarily disarmed nearby smoke alarms. When he was finished, Rob carefully inspected all the lines in the vicinity for possible corrosion and future leaks. He cleaned up and left no mess. The price was fair and the work excellently done.

Arrived within an hour of my call. Very professional and clean. Resolved blockage in sewar line on a Saturday evening quickly and very neatly.

Everything is very professional. They told us ahead we need to pay 125+tax if they come and check the job even if we decided not to get the services. Its just that the pricing is too high for us. We wanted to change the 4 copper pipes which are having holes and my husband temporarily stopped the leaks. They gives us quote it would cost 200 usd per pipe, which are ranging from 1 to 2 feet long, 0.5 to 1 in round pipes, so the total would be $800 plus tax. The pricing was too high for us, so we paid them $135 (125 plus tax) as agreed and found another local plumber who would do the job for $350 cash.

I woke up early Saturday morning and noticed that all the faucets in my house were not working. I figured the pipes had froze, because It was the coldest night of the year. I called few companies, but only Rob from Mako answered. He is a very funny and friendly guy, I felt comfortable using the company right away. He explained that they were very busy, but he will try to fit me in. A few minutes later he called to let me know one of his workers can stop by in one hour. About 30 minutes later Ricky arrived and we went into the crawl space to inspect the pipes. He gave me a detailed explanation of all my options and the gradual steps he will take if the first option fails to work. Ricky went right to work and after 15 minutes we thought it wasn't working. Ricky went to his truck for more equipment, but by the time he came back from his van water started flowing from the faucets. He went back in the crawl space to make sure the pipes didn't burst. I would like to thank Rob and Ricky for the great service. I will definitely use Mako later in the year to work on my sewage line.

They came, diagnosed the problem, tools me what my options were and finished the work in a professional and timely matter. They brought in their own mat to wipe their feet on before they even came in. Listened to my description of the problem and what's been done so far by other companies. Quickly found the source of the problem(s) which was frozen pipes that burst. I was given a choice of replacing the burst pipes or bypassing that loop. I chose to bypass that section since it would have been the quickest, easiest and most important, cheapest route. They broke a small hole to access the pipes quickly bypassed the broken pipes and cleaned up everything afterwards. They even patched up the unsightly hole with cardboard, until I can have it permanently repaired. Most importantly they did not leave until they knew everything was working properly, unlike the other guys that came before them. I am looking to have my boiler replaced some time in the near future with a newer and more efficient model some time in the near future and will definitely call on Adonis and Mako Plumbing to have that work done.
