LESLIE'S SWIMMING POOL SUPLS

Our pool is fully winterized and following a pretty strong wind storm over the weekend several sections of the safety cover were badly damaged. In order to ensure the pool is protected we were looking to get a replacement saftey cover on the pool as soon as possible. I've called three places so far and got great customer service. Then I called Leslie's. Kenny (the representative who answered) was dismissive (at best) and suggested I remove the anchored safety cover and bring it to a Leslie store. I asked if a service appt was an option and he said it was for an $85 service charge plus a $22 traveling fee! When I mentioned that was very different from the service provided from their local competitors his answer was 'yup'. Since I already have three incredibly helpful service providers coming out today (free of charge!) to provide a quote for an exact match to our current cover, I think we'll just leave it at that. We will be sure not to ever purchase service or supplies from Leslie's. This must be what happens when it's a large national chain store as opposed to a local operation that really cares about word of mouth referrals.

The staff is friendly, I went there for a pool cleaner. The only one that I had dealt with was great, he pointed me on the right direction and knows in and out and it was a good experience. The price was average.

I purchased a replacement liner from the Oak Tree Rd, Edison store on April 6th. The manager told me it would be in on April 9th and he would deliver it. I scheduled the installation with a company that he recommended (TFI pool service) for April 25th. On April 22nd I still hadn't gotten the liner. I spoke to the manager who said he would deliver it that evening. He did not and did not call. He also did not deliver it the next day, no phone call. I called the store on April 24th to find out what was going on and was told the manager was off but the liner was there and the covering person would deliver it that evening. He (Kyle) told me that Jason told him he spoke to my son on the 22nd and was told my son wasn't comfortable letting a stranger in the house. First of all, my son is an adult, not a child, and in the evening I was home. Kyle also told me that Jason said he called me and I did not return his call. He never called me. Needless to say, I did not chance waiting again for the liner and picked it up myself. As far as the Installer goes, the work was done nicely and they were very courteous but I feel I was grossly overcharged for sand and they left 9 large trash bags in my ward containing the old liner. Contractors are supposed to take their trash with them, not leave it for the homeowner to dispose of.

They were fantastic. The gentleman that helped me was there the first time and he had no clue where anything was in the store but he jumped through hoops to help me get everything I needed. I would have never known he was there on loan from the Jersey store.
