Arrow Exterminating

Cost of Services was a bit high, but I believe that i received excellent service in return. Arrow was thorough and very efficient. I have tried other exterminating companies whose prices were comparable, but who delivered no where near the service that i received with Arrow. I believe I got value for my money.

we noticed yellowjackets flying in and out of two small holes in the trim on our 1920's tudor. Two days later there were 3 very large holes and many, many yellowjackets flying in and out. We called Arrow on saturday and they asked us which day of the week would be convenient for us. They came that Monday, checked the whole outside of our home and then checked an interior closet that was adjacent to the outside wall where the yellowjackets were making their nest. The serviceman applied two applications (3 month treatment) 20 minutes apart and explained everything to us as he did so. Two days later, no more yellowjackets

Turns out we were mouse-free and he treated for other pests. We appreciated him being honest about our project. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, offering great advice and suggestions. We now have a monthly service agreement with them. Highly recommend!

They were responsive over the telephone and, after hearing our story, did not continue to push for a monthly contract, which I appreciated. Both times they came out when called and did a thorough job. They did not find evidence of water bug infestation, so we may have simply gotten a new yearly treatment, but we are happy with their service, communication and responsiveness, so we will use them again. They are certainly not inexpensive, but we understood that from other Angie's List comments before we called them initially.

I have had a TERRIBLE experience. I explained to the salesperson/tech who appeared that I had a space appear between the boards of my deck that I noticed was growing wider and wider. In my mind, I thought that it might be termites. The gentleman explained that while he couldn't be certain that it was due to termites, he did assess the damage on the deck, walked around the house taking measurements, and said that the best bet would be to get their termite barrier systerm that would virtually guarantee that no termites would be able to attack my home, because they would eat this food, take it back to their nest, and then come to an end. Well, after spending a fortune, guess what. The space between the boards on my deck got larger and larger, and now I can see straight down to the ground underneath, and so can the people from Arrow. The termite barrier systerm? Oh, it's in place all right. They come as scheduled to inspect them. Has any damage been stopped? No. Have I been offered a refund of my money? No. Can I use my deck the way I would like to? No. Take it from me - I am extremely disappointed in the results and I plan to file a complaint with the County Department of Consumer Affairs. I am so sorry that my money went down the drain. ;-(

I moved into a house in January 2010. A few weeks after moving in, my wife was getting bites at night and we discovered the house had bedbugs. I called Arrow Exterminating and Mike came to inspect my house on a Saturday. I showed him our house and specimens of the bedbugs we had caught. He gave us an estimate of $2250. I signed the contract and two applicators came to my house the following Monday. They arrived on time. I showed the applicators the house on Monday. They ventured into one small bedroom that Mike hadn't gone into because it was still full of our stuff that needed to be unpacked. Based on their observation of the walls and ceiling, they determined this small bedroom was the origin of the infestation. So I quickly emptied the room so they could treat it in addition to the other rooms in the house. They spent a lot of time in that room and used a lot of material trying to get behind the fake wood paneling. The applicator named Jesse was very thorough. In addition, they treated my wooden furniture, sofa, my queen-size mattress, baby crib, and lounge chair. When they finished and showed me the bill, it was almost $600 more than what the contract was. I assumed the added expense was for the room they treated which Mike didn't look at. I paid the higher amount and took comfort in the 3 month warranty. It has been more than 2 months now and my wife has had no bedbug bites. In addition, one month after the treatment, I received a check from Arrow Exterminating refunding me the difference between what I paid and what the contract said. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful. I would refer Arrow Exterminating because of their professionalism and honesty.

After calling our existing exterminator to address a carpenter ant swarm in our bedroom on a Monday after 5pm and not receiving a response I checked Angies list and found Arrow. I called them Tuesday afternoon and they had someone at our house in one-half hour. He inspected the house, thoroughly detailed the treatment plan and managed our expectations about how long it would take to rid the house of ants. They were there the next day in the time frame promised. They've had to return a few time to retreat as the ants are finding there way out. Everyone we've dealt with at Arrow has been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They are also very responsive to emergency calls. After our first experience with them we fired our old exterminator. The price was higher than I thought it would be but, based on our experience it was worth it.

Arrow is pricey but professional and responsible. I requested that my three month contract be deferred until the fall when cold weather would likely cause another infestation. The manager was understanding of my position, viz., that I would be wasting $825 for services that weren't needed at this time. He readily agreed and said that I should call again in the fall, and my three month contract would start anew at the time I requested it. I couldn't ask for anything more than that. All the personnel at Arrow were accommodating, courteous and helpful. An unfortunate leak of a plant pesticide in my basement occurred when they were there; they volunteered to help me clean up and were helpful doing so.

We called after hours on a Saturday and they arrived within two hours. They set traps that caught the squirrel in 4 days, rebaiting the traps in case more were around. A couple of days later, when they came to pick up traps, they discovered he had gotten in through the chimney but were not allowed on the roof to seal it up. The rather steep fee I originally paid (due to weekend overtime) was applied to a 6 month protection plan that will protect me from further infestation into the summer. Although the price isn't cheap, they were prompt, courteous and effective, even when called at a most inconvenient time. So far, two additional squirrels have been caught outside and they've been by to check the traps daily.

They got the job done and they were good. Their price was a bit higher.

In an initial visit an Arrow worker (A.J.) inspected the house for possible entry points and blocked a few. He set up 18 snap traps in the kitchen and the basement. Arrow workers came out an additional 4-6 times in the subsequent months to remove little mousie corpses and reset traps. When requested, a worker checked the house again for possible entry points because an occasional mouse seemed to still be entering. If I didn't feel like removing a trap myself, I'd call Arrow and someone would come over. The workers were always polite and prompt. I considered the service expensive (and Arrow's material costs must be low for a job like this, just basic traps) but it was helpful to have someone else determine entry points and rodent pathways and nice not to have to always deal with the dead mice myself. There no longer appear to be mice in the house. I have been quite satisfied with the service.

They are fast and very proficient. They took care of the immediate problems, and when it had a reoccurrence, they were back right away and took care of it again. The price is high, but I wanted to get rid of the problem and they have been very thorough. They are very professional and they know your name.

I suspected an infestation of carpet beetles in my apartment. An inspector came and was able to confirm this, and they were able to send an exterminating team (2 men) the very next day. They did an extremely thorough job, and explained everything they were doing. They also showed me the places where the carpet beetles were located. Two weeks later, another inspector came to see if the extermination was successful. (It was.) His arrival was slightly delayed by bad weather, and the company called to tell me so. All the people I dealt with were very friendly and professional. Their work is guaranteed for 6 months.

I have a contract with them and I pay them about $60 a month. I am not sure as to what the other companies charge for pest control. They come monthly and make sure that I got nothing crawling in my house. Their representative is very professional and good. I like them and I would continue to use their services in the future too.

Arrow's representative told us the attack on wood studs had been caused by powder-post beetles, not by termites. There was no charge for the evaluation. We were tremendously impressed by the exterminator's honesty and integrity. If and when we need to, we will definitely turn to Arrow in the future.

Serviceman was on time, kind, courteous, and understanding. He explained everything that had to be done to rid my home of camel back insects and plugged up a hole in the bathroom where they were getting in. The price was very good and worth every penny for peace of mind. That is why Arrow is the only exterminating company I'll ever use.

After examining a series of bites, we suspected that we had bedbugs, probably brought by an overnight visitor. We called on Tuesday, an inspector came on Wednesday and found a live bug in a crack near the bed, and the three-man crew came on Friday. (They were an hour late on Friday, but called from the road to revise their arrival time.) They spent five hours inspecting, disassembling bedding and furniture, vacuuming (including baseboard cracks), and spraying. We had spent many hours preparing the apartment and washing all clothing as directed. The team was extremely professional and thorough. They even called me to update their progress and their findings (fortunately, not bad--we caught it early) during the day. Mr. Fasano, the team leader, was terrific. It is now more than a month later, and we have had no further problems. They did a free follow-up inspection recently and found no live bugs. But it is good to know that they will do any needed follow-up treatments free for three months after the initial treatment. The service was not cheap, but bedbugs are hard to eliminate, and you need someone very thorough. They put a lot of effort into this, and the cost was definitely worth it. I would recommend them to anyone.

I never ended up using them. They were way too expensive.

They are excellent. This was occuring during Thanksgiving weekend. They were fabulous. I was able to get same day service. I have not had a problem since.

They were great. They did a good job, the price was right, and they were right on time.

The exterminator came on time the first time and informed me of the process, the chemicals, the risks and the precautions I must take. He did his job, answered all my questions and left. I paid him at the first visit for services lasting 3 months. He returned several times always punctual and polite.

It seemed fine. They showed up on time. They seemed very knowledgeable. I am on an annual contract with them for both problems. They did work with me on the price.

They were extremely professional, very nice. They were in and out very quickly. They were great. The price was very reasonable. They also came out quickly, they came out the day after I called them.

I first called Arrow with a problem with carpenter bees.They signed me up for a contract charging me $425 which included the Angie's coupon. They came a couple of times. I then started spotting mice and called Arrow again. I told them that I already had a contract which I wouldn't get much use of. They quoted a lower price since I was already a customer. In the meanwhile, I e-mailed the site and got a response from Jackie who gave a lower price than I agreed to. They came back and checked all the traps and will come back for the next three months. I am very pleased and will use them again in the future.

I got 3 quotes before selecting Arrow. The sales person came on-time, was personable and friendly. They are pricey and was the highest of the 3. Despite that, I chose Arrow because they have a more frequent monitoring schedule and they wanted to put in more monitoring stations than the other 2 companies. I did have a little back and forth with Michael on the statement of work. I was confused about the monitoring schedule. It was not written into the contract and it was presented to me as a general company policy. When I requested something in writing, Michael quickly got the office to email me a monitoring schedule. The techs came on the scheduled date and put in a lot more stations than I expected. They even put in more stations even on the drive way side where it was harder to drill. My experience so far has been good. Since the monitoring/inspection of the stations hasn't started yet I can't rate the quality of that work at this time or on the quality of the reporting on the stations. Come to think of it, getting a report sample during the sales call would have been helpful.
