Description of Work: 1. Bait & switch tactic - I decided to go with Universal Marble and Granite because of the price quote they provide me. In the initial quote, they quoted us for 20ft of countertop for $1200. After the measurement, they gave us a quote for 21ft of countertop for $1600. I decided to go with them anyway because of time crunch, I don't have enough time to find another company and go through the whole process in the timeline we have. | |2. Bad communication / worst customer service - After we put down 50% of the cost of the countertop. I didn't hear from them for 5 days. As I followed up after 5 days, they told us we have to remeasure a certain area again. AFTER 5 days!!! Again, anyone who has done renovation knows timeline is the key, I don't know how why they couldn't contact us immediately. They don't understand the urgency of our need, as I proactively tried to set up another appointment as quickly as possible, they never returned my call or emails. When they did say they will come, they never confirmed or provided the exact time they'll be there. My husband waited at our apartment for 3 hours with no avail. I sent follow up emails and there's no communication back. | |After remeasuring again - our cost went up to $2000. Once again, we don't have time to find another person to work with us. | |3. Awful Installation - the person came to install our counters and it was done incorrectly and had to be corrected. In addition, they forgot one of the piece and we had to wait for them to get it from the warehouse. They also forgot to caulk the edges (it's a special marble caulk) and they have to come back for the 5th time to get that done. The caulking is not professional and It would have use another layer but at that point, we are so fed up with them, we don't want to deal with them anymore!!! | |If you want to use their service, I wouldn't suggestion it. There's no communication or follow up unless you proactively be on their tail. I am sure there are other places with much better customer service and is able to put a simple countertop up. I have learned my lesson, don't go with a place with no reviews. Also, make sure to book a few different consultations so you can compare!!! |

Description of Work: I got an estimate for restoring the marble in my bathroom. He quoted me at $1750.00.
