+ -1 moreI found him easy to work with in all aspects of the job who took all of my input onboard - yet made it better. I knew we were a match from the moment we discussed my project- from the proposal/quote stage, to actually settling on a budget and a scope, to the overall project itself. I felt like I was part of every furniture, art, paint color, fabric decision - yet he did all the work. And when we ran into pitfalls (such as support beams that turned out to be rotted), he talked me off the ledge, and figured out a way to make the house even better. The level of detail, precision and creativity for all of his drawings was incredible. All of the contractors, cabinet makers, architects were blown away by his drawings -which are all done by hand! In short, I would use him again and strongly recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Marc is a talented and creative interior designer based in both Atlanta and New York whom I highly recommend. In 2012, he designed and has project managed a gut renovation of my historic vacation home in the Hamptons - a 170 year old saltbox farmhouse. The house was taken done to the studs, a dormer was added on the second floor, new kitchen, baths, closets, built-ins, and while the footprint was unchanged, we did a new layout within the house while keeping with the historic character of the home. We also finished what had been a dirt basement and created a garden cottage out of an old barn. We also re-landscaped and added a pool. Inside the house, the scope of the work included a lot of custom fine carpentry and even some custom furniture - and designed it as a english/french beach cottage and comfortable enough for big gatherings of family and friends.
