Description of Work: 6 months ago I hired this company and paid them a $500 deposit.

+ -1 moreMG Design Group Inc, 20 West Park Ave, Long Beach NY, Perish Merriweather, Architect, has continued to delayed my project by several months. Two contractors dropped out of the bidding process because they didn't take me seriously due to the plans not being filed with DOB over such a long time. My eventual contractor has recently tried to obtain the permits and plans but found out that either the DOB has lost part of the plans or my architect submitted corrupt plans. I lean towards the latter due to when I have requested a hard copy of the plans from Perish Merriweather architect, he has been unable to provide me with said plans; he has indicating that he does not have a record of the plans, HUH? As a business I would think he should have a copy of the records. Since that point it has been nearly a month of Merriwearther's telling me he will resubmit the plans to DOB. On a daily basis he has continued to state that 'the plans will be submitted tomorrow', yet nothing actually gets done. The excuses he provides are as if I'm listening to a teenager, it's always someone else's fault. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. HE IS UNPROFESSIONAL, HE IS INCOMPETENT, HE WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS.
Description of Work: MG Design Group Inc, 20 West Park Ave, Long Beach NY, Perish Merriweather, Architect. This man has been a terrible experience. I would not recommend him nor use him again. I hired him to only draw architectural plans & submit them to DOB for approval. Sounds simple enough. However, after his several attempts of drawing incorrect plans, even after taking notes in our meetings, it took him four months to submit the file with the DOB. On several occasions I had to correct his measurements on the plans. When I suggested certain design aspects that I wanted to incorporate into my home he was unable to visually concieve of the design. His architectural design quality is limited to cut & dry technique. He contributed absolutely NO design quality to the project. He was finally able to draw up plans as I wanted them designed, however it took him much too long get submit them to DOB. As of today, the plans (due to DOB or MG Designs mistake) are still not available for my contractor to obtain.
