In one word: SUPER

Long delay in coming to measure for an estimate. I also had some tree roots that had lifted a few sections of sidewalk. The owner took measurements & stated he could easily grind the tree roots. He said would mail me an estimate "in the next week or so". Company never sent the estimate as promised, and didn't return subsequent calls or emails. I suspect that he just didn't want to be bothered with tree roots. I didn't like that they left me hanging with NO response.

Contacted company who responded and came out the next day. Quote received later that day. We agreed upon a design and a price the next evening and Tony said they would be the following morning at 6AM. I didn't know what to think at that point that they were available the next day but its late in the season so I didn't think much of it. The next morning, right on time, Tony and his crew were in my backyard with flashlights ready to go. They did great job that day laying the slab. They came back subsequent days to clean and then seal the slab. They did a great job and you can tell they care about quality. Tony's and his crew are very professional, respectful, and friendly. Completely satisfied and would recommend.

Installed drainage leading to bubblers out front, new driveway, redid front and back stoops, tore out front patio and poured new stamped concrete back patio. Great to work with!

Tony, TJ and the crew did an excellent job on my recently completed backyard stamped concrete patio. They were personal, professional and prompt (starting each day at 6am). Before starting, TJ explained the difficulties he would have with the stairs, and then he executed above expectations -- not only mine, but more importantly, my wife's. Communication before and during my job were proper. Considering how uninterested some Angies List vendors are with their prospects, I was very impressed Solid Ground Concrete from initial email to final payment.

Solid Ground were great to work with. They were prompt with the estimate, which was right in line with others I received. Both Wendy and Tony were extremely responsive to my many questions throughout the process. The crew seemed to work very well together - what work I saw in progress appeared to be done very efficiently and conscientiously. The finished driveway and patio seem to be very well graded to prevent any water pooling issues, and the surface was nicely finished. Aside from the anticipated and unavoidable landscape destruction in the immediate vicinity of the concrete, they left absolutely no mess, which was most appreciated.

Everything went GREAT!!! We are so happy with the way everything turned out. They started and completed the job exactly when they stated they would and did a beautiful job on our concrete work. They were very responsive to our calls and questions. Our house is on the corner of an entrance to our development. We had so many cars and quot;creepingand quot; by our house as they worked and especially now after the work is done. The owners of the company spent a lot of time with us on our design and we are so pleased with their recommendation of exposed aggregate concrete. Solid Ground Concrete Inc. came highly recommended to us by several friends that had their work done by them- we couldn't be happier with their recommendation and the job they did! We will be needing a new driveway in the next few years and we will be contacting them for it.

This review sounds very similar to one other on Angie's list. I wish I would have read it first! I called to get an estimate on a small concrete pad. Wendy returned my call and we set up a time and date for the estimate. The day arrived and I hurried home from work to be there when they came. An hour later I called to see if I had gotten the time and date wrong. Wendy needed to call to see where the person was that was doing the estimate. When she returned my call she told me he was running behind and may be coming later that evening. If he couldn't make it, she and quot;would call me backand quot; to set up a new appointment. Evidently they do not need my business or our job was too small, because it has been a week and a half with no response. I don't feel it is my obligation to chase them around to give them my business! The one disappointing thing is (among others), I wanted to give my business to someone in my community!

I think Solid Ground Concrete gives very good services, very professional, and very neat. They did a great job. The quality of work is very good. Their price was about standard. I would use them in the future.

We would recommend him to others because he was certainly good for the price. It looks very nice. He actually came back on his own and sealed it the next year, about 12 months later.

Solid Ground was incredible to work with. Our original scope of work was simple, then we decided to put a pool in and change the entire contract. They worked with us on cooridinating our difficult timeline, dealing with complex drainage issues, even matched our drain color to the pool accessories. This is not a slap down concrete and leave company. They professionally grade and survey and come up with incredible solutions every problem we threw at them. We also appreciated their advice on stamp and color choice. I would definately recommend this company!!! Update: Within a few days of the work being completed we had cracking. More than it what is considered expected. One large crack accross the entire driveway, front step has pulled away from the house and no stress joint was put in so it has cracked at the base. The concrete surrounding the pool has over 35 cracks! Horribly disappointed. Called the company and was told it was only asthetics and it happens. When purchasing stamped conctrete, its for asthetics and the amount is beyond the area of normal. I had other companies take a look and they said the stress joints were done at the wong places and the concrete was most likely overtampered when installed.

I contacted the company by phone, they promptly responded and provided an estimate by phone. When contacted again by phone to setup appointment, "Tony" agreed to Wednesday afternoon, then was a no show. When contacted again by phone, they have yet to return call 5 days later. On June 25, 2012 , I received two nasty emails from the owner of the company due to my review.

I approached Solid Ground Concrete and one other competitor (Dante) for comparison purposes. My neighbor used Dante and both companies came in at just about the same cost. At first I wanted to use Dante, but after several calls and no return calls back, I became concerned. So, I switched course. I am glad it ended up this way because Solid Ground was very professional and you can always speak to someone versus just leaving a message. Tony always answers the phone, even while he's in the field. We booked our job for about 1.5 months in advance since they were backlogged with the wet spring we had this year. However, as the date approached, I received a call the day before from Tony just to confirm. Our patio is a seamless slate pattern and colored with 2 additional accent colors (walnut, charcoal) over the base (sandstone). I took the day off to watch the whole process. They started at 6:30 a.m. and were done by 2:00 p.m. The next day they came back to put in the relief cuts and seal the concrete, and then make sure the siding was clean. If you want a true professional and someone that takes pride in their work, give Solid Ground Concrete a call.

We had received atleast six estimates from other companies before choosing Solid Ground Concrete. They had the most reasonable price and also used the heaviest concrete and materials for the job. After the driveway set, we had it cut with a diamond patterned. The precision at which the worker used to cut our driveway was surprising and refreshing. At the end of the driveway’s first winter, we had no pitting, cracking or other issues. Still looks as it did on the first day.

They removed an old crumbling and laid a new concrete walk way. They did a very good job in laying the concrete and finishing the same. I liked their services and will use the same in future.
