LIVINGSTON ASPHALT SEALERS

We have been using Livingston asphalt sealers for years, but the last few times we have not been happy with his workmanship. We decided to give him one more chance. We booked him in July to do our driveway at the end of August, as we would be away. He never showed claiming he was behind. He then gave us another date, but didn't show again. He had told us he would call if he couldn't make it. No call, so my husband called him. As he was leaving a message on the voicemail that we no longer wanted him to do the sealing, his wife picked up the phone. As my husband was talking to her and explaining that we no longer wanted him to do the sealing, she started to raise her voice and coming up with excuses Very unprofessional!! We'll use someone else.

Provider did not show up on the agreed upon date, citing weather as a factor. It was a perfectly sunny weekend. When contacted to express my concern, provider said he had no idea who I was and was just plain too busy to deal with me. Not impressed with his dishonest, unprofessional behavior. To date, no work has been performed and apparently, he does not plan to complete the job. My driveway is a mess and he just walks away not caring.

My driveway is only about a dozen years old and gets sealed every two years. I tried Livingston Asphalt because they are local, but the job did not go well at all! Here is why ... First, the provider charges 50% more than what I've paid in the past, claiming a better product and two step process to fill in cracks. Provider then uses high school students who left many unfilled cracks during the crack filler process. The sealer then went on so thin that you could see the crack filler underneath it, and not fill in any missed cracks. Provider did not supervise work or even come back to inspect the work! I advised the provider of the above and he agreed to fix it. He sent the same students who according to my wife came back during the school day while on break. When I came home I found they still missed cracks, even after I outlined them with chalk. What's worse, weeks later the majority of the sealing job has cracked overall (probably because it went on so thin) and many of the and quot;filledand quot; cracks have opened up. I left a message for the provider, he never called back and the driveway looks worse than when they came! On top of this all, the provider uses the good Lord's name right on his letterhead with a quote from Psalms. Why? If my driveway survives the winter now I will have to pay someone else to come back and do it right. At this point I'm out $500 for this worthless job and I see a court action in the future if the provider does not make good on this. No trouble, prompt, professional. Good job overall, a bit pricey.

The owner and staff were prompt, friendly and professional. They did an excellent job. I have already recommended them to many people.
