Getting anything done was tough. The site supervisor was fired but allowed to work for a month. He laughed about it and said that he was going to collect a check and not work. He never forwarded any of the paperwork so the office was out of the loop on what needed to be completed. But they did fire him so they had an idea of what he was not doing. The next person that didn't help was a warranty guy who was a jack of all trades but a master of none. Always had a story about something that he has done. Needed to see more work and less talking. He was open about quiting so he really didn't care. He did leave so again nothing got done. Many of us started to complain to the owner and president of the company, Dan Baraba. Dan never accepted our calls. We even asked for him to come visit our house and take a look first hand. Instead he sent his grumpy VP, Marty Quinn. Marty has no real experience in construction or in customer service. He is the "NO" guy. I wish there was more space to write.
Description of Work: Had a home built from start to finish. The process seemed to go very smooth. Unfortunately I was unaware of the shortcuts being taken. The builders on site supervisor was rarely there to watch the completion of the job and make sure the sub contractors were doing there work properly. Many problems arose in the areas of plumbing, electrical, foundation work and finishing carpentry. Here are some of the problems: Plumbing- many of the pipes were not tightened so there were leaks from the shower and sinks. Holes had to be put in bedroom wall to fix shower leak. Problems with toilets also. Needed new hot water heaters. Electrical- this sub was not competent. Many of the rooms weren't wired properly. Fuse box needed rewiring. Foundation- cracks in basement walls, garage, front porch.
