DiMartino Construction & Remodeling

Emailed via Angie's List on 9/28. On 10/9 I had not received any response so I called the number listed on Angie's List and spoke with John. He was very friendly and told me that he'd give me a call back in the morning to schedule an appointment once he was back in the office. On 10/27 I had not still not heard back from them so I hired another contractor to come and make the necessary repairs. On 11/6 I received a response to my initial messages send 9/28 indicating that "there appears to be a problem in the messaging system" and to give them a call. I responded that I had called over a month ago and received no response so I had hired another company. They responded that there was a death in the family which is why they didn't get back to me however reading other reviews I now see that this is a common response provided when they fail to respond to potential customers.

John was great to work with. Offered many suggestions during the quoting process. He always kept his appojntments and showed up on time. His crew actually started the work a little early than originally stated. All the workers were polite and showed up every day until the project was completed. They did not start something, go to another job, then come back. They were there every day from staret to finish. The even helped me out with another project in a different house while installing the siding/windows. They did a great job, worth every penny. Thanks John and crew.

I first contacted the contractor in May and he said he would call back soon. I contacted him several more times including hearing about the death in the family in June but in the end he never called back. Just another excuse. I called him last week and as usual he was always busy and said that he would call back within a few hours. Well another week has gone by and he never called back. I have no idea why the company is still recommended on Angies list. Terrible customer service. The company should be removed from Angies list.

It went very well. All the workers were professional and did the job in a timely manner. The project went a little over in time due to rain but nothing that could be done about that, still came in right on budget. Just wanted to update this. My roof was done 2 years ago, recently we had a small section of shingles just come loose and slide off the roof (overall the rest of the roof has been fine so not sure what happened). I called the owner up he still had my info in his caller ID and remembered the job. He told me he'd swing out that way and take a look as soon as he could. In less then a week I got a text from him letting me know he was heading to the house, then he texted me again as soon as he was done. Very prompt and I didn't even have to miss any work.

John and his team were great. They were very upfront with everything that was going on. The deck was done fairly quickly however we did have some issues with weather and the clay code man. We have had them come back to fix a few minor issues but overall our deck is amazing!

called back six times to fix leaking roof , did not flashed house properly !! spots still no flashing. nails coming through shingles that hey said they repair still not fixed ,sent pictures to my attorney will have to take him to court. left back yard a mess and full of nails took me 3 hours to clean up , damaged my new a/c unit that cost my $ 1000.00 . john said will take off $ on next job . can't get a roof right would not hire again just poor service SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM ANGIES LIST !!!!!! BUYER BEWHERE !!!!!!

John and his crew were friendly and responsive. Finished product is wonderful. Good people.

John came to quote the job as scheduled. His price was fair and in the range i expected to pay. We signed a fixed price contract and scheduled the job. John called and asked to come a week earlier than scheduled. On the day of the job he bought a crew of 6. they had the demo done by lunch with it all cleaned up and carted away. By 6 pm they were done! John did what he said he would. Earlier than he said he would. At the price on the contract with no extras charges. And did a really nice job. DiMartino construction is highly recommended.

John and some of his crew statred on the interior work within 2 weeks of signing. He stated he would start the bulk of work on 08/11 and thats exactly when he and his crew showed up. They completed the roof first and then replaced the windows, wrapped the entire house and installed foam boards before installing the siding. His crew (6-8) seems to be self motivated and know what to do and in what sequence. They don't waste any time. They constantly clean up during the day and always did a end of day cleanup. They turned a 3600 sq. foot , 180 year old farm house into something you might see in a magazine They spent a great deal of time squaring up everything they could before putting the siding and soffits on. Very time consuming work.They spent almost 3 weeks completing the project. John provided us a very complete and detailed quote which was inclusive of all work. Everything in his quote was 100% accurate and thats what they did. Other contractor quotes we received were open ended and some outrageous. We felt comfortable with John's quote and did look at some of his work to see if the quality was there. Feel free to contact John if you would like to see what he did for us. We are very pleased with how it turned out and welcome any one to see the house should you be contemplating to use DiMartino Construction.

John did a great job and effectively captured all of our requirements in the estimate. The only reason we have not given the go ahead is that we are trying to decide which project to do first. Either project will go to John - count on it!

Everything went as planned. Very responsive and reliable. All work has held up fine through the rough winter. Didn't realize we had forgotten to write a review until we went back on Angie's list looking for plumbing and landscaping.... we may just Have to get in touch DiMartino Construction to manage these too as he seems to have a pretty good network of people. He set us up with an electrician who was very reasonable and did great work. Price was a tad bit higher but he takes credit cards which is worth the extra cost for the fraud protection security. We got burned on another deal and will never pay cash or check for work again.

He was very knowledgable came when he said he would. Got on the roof and checked out several spots others just looked from the ground and gave an estimate. We were very pleased with the professionalism

I will definately use Dimartinos for my next project. John was VERY professional and just a wonderful help...all around great person and I would totally trust any work he does do for me in the future.

He is scheduled to do the work in May. Cost of the job is not disclosed. I look forward to his finished job. Work is done and looks awesome! I definitely recommend them.

Everything went extremely well with all 3 jobs. They arrived on time, they were all very professional and cleaned up everyday before they left for the day. The only thing perhaps they might do a smidge better on was on the inside job, caulking and patching nail holes. It wasn't horrible but, it could have been better. That being said, we would absolutely Highly recommend them and We plan to use them again in the future!

Owner of company came to give my husband and I an estimate to remodel our kitchen, as well as an estimate on refinishing our hardwood floors. He took all of the necessary measurements and photos of both our kitchen and our floors and promised a quote by email in a couple of days. After not hearing from him after a week I contacted him inquiring about our estimate and he responded that there was an "issue with the process" and he would have a quote to me by the following day. After waiting for 3 weeks with still no email/phone call, I emailed him again and still have not heard. I must say I am extremely disappointed with the company and the way everything was handled.

Pleasant, professional staff, but they forgot to contact me when wood was ready. Product was nice quality.

We needed to replace the sub-floor, flooring, tub, and tub surround in our only full bathroom. Along with that I made some other updates to the vanity & cabinets. John and his crew successfully finished the job within the week time frame he originally promised. He was very easy to stay in contact with for any updates or changes from the original estimate through the completion of the job. John was very accommodating with any last minute changes I requested and was more than happy to make any adjustments. He answered any questions I had about materials or the process honestly. They were all respectful of my home, and the fact that they had to work around 2 beagles and occasionally our 1 year old - climbing over multiple baby gates as necessary! Living through any renovation is tough, especially when it's your only full bath out of service, but John & his crew made it easy for our family. Thank you!

We found them honest, professional and personable. They kept in touch with us and scheduled the work around our needs. We would definitely use them again.

executed as agreed in timely fashion update 10/2/14 - Next door neighbor had John side their house in July '14 based on our referral. We asked John then to return here and nail some trim because 3 windows won't open, and also to provide us with a quote for painting other trim. He had a relative die out of town, he told his son to do the work but it was never done, and he texted several times to ask when we would be available for him to come out. Haven't seen him yet.

We had Jon out to give us an estimate about a new patio door and a roof repair. We really enjoyed Jon felt he was upfront and honest. We have gotten in contact with John and are looking forward to scheduling the works once we receive the written quote and sign the contract. Once everything is complete we will update to let people know how everything went!!

They had to work around the rain, but kept the roof protected with tarps etc. Very nice job and kept the area cleaned up. The solar tubes are great. They provide plenty of light into a bathroom and hallway that didn't have windows. The price was fair and even less than a local contractor that had only 2 people. DiMartino had up to 7 people when the weather allowed. There were no loud radios and no cursing that we heard. Our overall experience was very good. We recommend Di Martino highly and will hire them again if other jobs need to be done.

The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up. John inspected the work and checked on the progress periodically.

I dealt with John, the owner. He was very professional and explained everything to me. He was prompt and courteous and he completed the job in the timeframe with no unexpected costs. He made sure everything was cleaned up and left my property the way it looked when the job was started. I will use definitely use his services again.

We are completely happy with the new decks and patio. John and his crew took great care to all our needs and wants. They were very easy to work with from design, to changes and to completion. Never seemed bothered by a my little request! I highly recommend them for all your construction needs. I know I will.
