Link DeRycke responded to my cost estimate request within 48 hours. He then began the work within four days of receiving the quote. He arrived at all appointments promptly. He was very professional and articulate. He demonstrated his knowledge of different species of wood and explained how each would react to stain and/or polyurethane. The repair DeRycke performed was outstanding. You cannot tell the floor had ever been repaired. Link started on the day he said he would start and finished on the day he said he wood. He communicated status throughout the job and was very flexible in meeting my accelerated schedule request. I am 100% satisfied with their service and have already recommended them to friends.

Very well. Was in very tight time crunch w/house closing/movers and Link was very accommodating. One worker removed carpet and old wood and installed oak flooring and second worker/owner sanded existing floors in one day. Link was helpful and patient in picking stain color and matching baseboard color to existing window frames. Had few areas where stain was dimpling and Link responded to my concern fast and offered resolution. All work done over 3 days. Only concern, due to what may be tight time restraint was couple areas where poly was not smooth but is not obvious flaw; overall his accommodating my tight time frame for large amount of work was exemplary.

Link DeRycke installed hardwood floors in our remodeled kitchen and small landing. He did a wonderful job, the floors look great and the stain is a perfect color to match the new maple cabinets and the surrounding dining room and hallway. He was very professional and efficient. There are 3 coats of poly so the floors are protected. We are very pleased with the results.

Workers were prompt, completing the work in estimated time. Cleaned up everything. Were courteous, and aside from the noise from the sanders the very first day, were practically invisible. Gave good advice about care of restored flooring.

The price was pretty average, it wasn't above or below. I think the services were very good. I think they just came and did what they said they were going to do and I really thought they were good.

Because I wanted flooring installed before I moved into a new house, Linc DeRycke was accommodating enough to add the initial visit for estimation to the evening of a very busy day. Even so he took the time to explain all options thoroughly and the estimate was clear and complete. The job began on time and was completed in the 4 days estimated. The workmanship was excellent and the floors beautiful. The only problem was a bit of puddling of polyurethane in a small area. This was unacceptable to Linc and he immediately redid that section to bring it to his standard. I was very pleased with the whole experience of working with DeRycke's and would recommend them without reservation. The whole job was handled professionally and everyone was polite and personable. The cost was more reasonable than several other quotes and I had a much better experience than a friend who paid twice as much for a comparable installation.

DeRycke's was great! They were able to come and give me an estimate with 24 hours of the initial call. They were also able to start work less than a week later and were completely done within three days. The floors were in VERY bad shape and they were able to restore them to almost new, we were shocked by how different they looked. We were very pleased and would use them again.

The owner came out for a free estimate and explained what he would need to do to refinish the floors. He measured to give us a detailed estimate. We called a few other places for preliminary quotes, and Derycke was significantly less and we were impressed by the initial meeting, so we went with him. He scheduled the work for a couple weeks later and was finished in 4 days. The floors look great! Our only complaint was having to clean up two heavy bags of sanding dust and some stain that splashed onto a wall.

My wife and I just bought an existing home in Baldwinsville and found that the oak flooring did not look like it had been finished to our standards. I checked online and found some advice that said if you put water on you floor and it soaks in, then it's time for refinishing. Water soaked in, so we started searching for contractors to refinish the floor before we moved in. The problem was that the moving truck was coming in a week! I found DeRycke's on Angie's List and called them the next morning. The owner, Link, was a really nice guy. He came quickly, showed up on time, provided a quote on the spot, and helped me to understand what my options were. While I didn't have him do the work in the end, it's not because I didn't want him to do the work, and I will hire him in the future if I need a hardwood floor finished.

Three words sum up the service from this company: Professional, Pleasant, Punctual. We are very pleased with the job they did and we intend to hire them again to refinish the floors in other rooms in our house.

They did an amazing job. After warning us that some of the stains might not come out, we were delighted with the result where only the faintest shadow of discoloration remained (also known as 'character'). They made an appointment, were exactly on time, and the owner came back one evening himself to put the final coat of polyurethane on because his crew had gotten tied up on another site and 'he had promised that the job would be done'.
