+ -1 morehe arrived an hour past or scheduled appt - but I understand the nature of the work makes it hard to predict how long each call will take once here he was very quick in getting my new computer set up and verified things worked before he left
Description of Work: I could not get my computer to boot up past the blue screen. Sam recommended an inexpensive replacement computer to get me up & running again. He removed the hard drive from my old computer and was able to transfer the data onto the new computer.

+ -1 moreThe provider responded within an hour to my initial call; we made an appointment for the next day. He called to let me know he was running a little late. He appears to be very knowledgeable, businesslike and personable. I am glad to have found him.
Description of Work: The webpages on my Safari browser weren't loading. The provider determined that the new version of Safari isn't compatible with the operating system (Leopard 10.5.8) on my IMac. He found a version of Firefox that will work and I can again load webpages.

+ -1 moreWhen I called him on Saturday morning he told me that he could come the same day in the afternoon at 3:30 pm. 2. He actually came around 3.34 pm 3. I described the problem and he went to work right away. 4. He fixed the problem removing some malwares, unnecessary programs and cleaned up other issued. 5. My computer is now working as it should. I am very happy with his work, promptness, and professionalism. I consider his charge of $65 for coming to the house and fixing the problem to be very reasonable. I am also impressed by his commitment to do the work for as long as needed for one flat fee of $65 (extra charge, I think it is $10, if the computer has to be taken to his place, + cost of parts if needed.)
Description of Work: My computer was very slow and the browser was erratic

+ -1 moreHe came out actually earlier than planed but called first to see if that would be okay.
Description of Work: Was having a couple problems. First one was very poor quality of sound while trying to listen to music from an online site. The other was trying to use desktop computer to see files on laptop and the other way around. Sam did a scan and found some bad things on computer and recommended using this program daily to scan computer. He also showed me how to access one computer from the other. I'm sure I will need his help again as I will mess up something again. A few days after I had Sam work on my computer I noted I still had some problems. Due to my schedule I took some time to find when he could take a look at it again. This time he had me download a program so he could check some things out from his home. This morning I finally had some free time and was able to have him check it out. He spent about half an hour working on it and I believe he was able to correct the two problems I still had.

Description of Work: my computer would not start up at all. So i checked angies list and found Sam's phone number and called it. I called at 8pm on a Saturday night. I was shocked that he answered the phone. I told him the problem and he set up an appointment to come to my house the very next day. He got here and diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes. He had the part needed to replace and fix the problem with him. I am so happy I called. Great service, price, punctuality, responsiveness. Thanks Sam!!

+ -1 moreCalled service for repair of intermittent screen display on a laptop. He came the same day I called. When he arrived, I couldn't get the computer to repeat this failure, so there was nothing to repair. In lieu of that, he checked the performance and optimized it.

+ -1 moreThe experience was a good one . The technician is very knowledgeable and I have told him that if my desk top ever experiences a problem he is the only one who will work on it ! I am so greatful I joined Angie's List - their ratings on services of all kinds truly make a difference.
Description of Work: My laptop was not running. The technician was explained everything I had tried to do to make it work. He took the computer and after examining it it was determined that the motherboard was gone. It would have been too costly to repair as opposed to his adivce compared to purchase of a new one as mine was already 3 years old. He took the files off my laptop and presented them to me on CD's for future use. He also offered to re-cycle my old laptop for me.

+ -1 moreI had a virus on my computer that I could not get rid of and I could not get on the internet because of it. I called the company at about 9:30 A.M. and made an appointment for 2:30 P.M. Sam showed up at 2:30 P.M. right on the nose and I was back online in about 10 minutes. Great job! And for a flat fee of only $50.
Description of Work: Got rid of a virus on my desktop.
