We had two antique chairs that were in poor condition - their caning was ripped and their legs were getting loose. I called Decorator's Workshop and the owner recommended that I bring them in for an assessment. We stopped by with the chairs and he gave us a lot of time and attention. He let us know a little about the quality and the history of the chairs. He explained the options for repairing or replacing the seats and he explained how the legs might be fixed. He gave us estimates for the various options and said we could decide what to do at our leisure. We decided what to do right away, he wrote it down, and we left. He'd thought the work would take two weeks, but he called us in about 10 days to tell us they were ready. I picked them up. They were perfect with new seats (of fabric rather than caning), tight legs, and fixes to a couple of cracks in the slats of the chair backs. The owner was not only courteous and professional, he was also delightful. The service performed was the highest quality. The price was exactly as estimated. And as a bonus, the conversation was enlightening.
