Description of Work: We needed some lights,cabinets, and doors installed as part of updating the house before putting it on the market. Many of the lights did not have electrical boxes for mounting or the wires were not near the center of the new lights.

Description of Work: Steve showed up on time, was professional, friendly, and intelligently explained the repairs he made. The cost was very reasonable.

Description of Work: Steve removed a very old work bench from my basement wall, fixed 1/4 round in a couple of rooms, adjusted front door to eliminate draft, checked to drains for me.

Description of Work: Removed carpeting and pad in dining room. Removed two corner hutches. Took all to street and was picked up by garbage collection. It went very well. Have scheduled for painting, electrical work, baseboard and chair railing work. Will have him do the same in the living room.

Description of Work: Installed 8' pendant track lights in dining room. Replaced an outdoor outlet which was only intermittently working. Steve was very pleasant and did an excellent job. It's now April and we just asked him to do another job for us, which he'll do later this week. We would definitely recommend him.

Description of Work: Fixed light fixtures that weren't working. Painted interior stairway spindles. Painted interior windowsill.

Description of Work: Interior/Exterior door painting; installed new hardware on all kitchen cabinets and doors (including storm door), installed switch plates; repaired pantry cabinet in kitchen (expert carpentry work); polyurethaned window sills in bedroom; insulated areas in garage;installed new mailbox; II cannot remember everything else, but I felt like I had won the lottery - all the little things that had needed to be done for years, were now done to perfection. I used ChoreBusters on 3 different occasions this month.

Description of Work: I called chore busters on Sunday 9/02/12, and was told they charge $50.00 per hour for labor plus any parts needed which I thought was pretty high for a handyman but was also told my particular job ( replace 2 sets of faucet handles to laundry tubs) should not take more than 1 hour to complete. I made an appointment for the following Wednesday 9/05/12. The repair man arrived on time. I was not able to greet this handyman into our home myself . However my husband was here to let the repairman into our home. The man went into our basement where our laundry room is located. .He looked at what was needed to complete the task and then he came back upstairs to let my husband know what parts were needed to make the repairs. He then went to hardware store to purchase parts. He did not give an estimate on how much the parts would cost to make the repair t to my husband . Which I think he should have done , however I was not at home as mentioned earlier . My husband thinks he was gone about 45 minutes Which is much too long since the hardware store he went to was only about 3 miles from our home. Remember now I am paying this handyman $50.00 per hour for his labor !He came back to our home , went back to the laundry room started the repairs . He then came back upstairs to tell my husband that there was a mistake with the parts that he had purchased. I do not know if was due to his error or the store's error ? I would think as a handyman being in business for more than 10 years he would not make a mistake such as this causing him to return to the store again and come back to complete the job. Again remember I am paying him $50.00 per hour. So all said and done it cost me $12.00 for the parts and 2 1/2 hours of labor @ $50.00 per hour. Total was = 137.00 . I am glad the work is done but the handles do not even match . Not that it is very important but for the price I may have been able to have a certified plumber do the same thing and had matching handles ? Chorebusters did the work and it was done the same day but I think I would not really reccomend because I thought it would only cost around $70.00 total for labor and parts .Chorebusters is ok but expensive .

Description of Work: Steve put in a new ceiling fan with light and a remote in the gRGe. He also put in a ceiling bathroom vent and light in the downstairs powder room and a ceiling vent,heat and light in the upstairs bathroom. Steve was professional, proceeded from one job to the next in a timely fashiion and cleaned as he went along. The overall experience was excellent and we will have him back to do other tasks in the future. we will also recommend him to our friends and colleagues.
