Work went well overall- would definitely hire back- if I could only get him on the phone

When we called for an estimate, Marcin came right away and gave us a detailed estimate of everything that he needed to do. We liked his product the best of the three contractors that we called in for estimates. It was the healthiest option and the online material about the Bona products convinced us that we were making the right choice. His estimate was right in the ballpark. Marcin is a true professional and a fantastic craftsman who takes pride in his work.He was always punctual, delivered exactly what he said he would on our contract, and stayed late into the evening until he was satisfied wiith his work. We have had our floors refinished once before and there is no comparison. Marcin and his worker got into every nook and cranny, leaving a sparkling floor with no spots darker or lighter than the whole. Our floors are gorgeous and we feel like we have a new home. I recommend him highly and would definitely use him again

I have contacted them by phone and never received a call back as of today. It would be nice for them to call back saying that they received the call and to touch base in my request that I was needing to be done. Due to them not calling back and I will be taking my business else where.

I have approximately 750 square feet of parquet flooring in a co op apartment. The floor had been poorly finished previously and there was a question about whether it could be refinished well. I interviewed several people and chose Marcin because he gave me a thorough professional presentation of what he would do and that he himself would be doing the floors along with his assistant. As this is a strict co op, he was conscientious about following the house rules. Marcin refinished the floors so that they look like new in fact fabulous- and I am picky. He was very clean about his work and it looks like I will not need to repaint the moulding. He finished the floors with sealer and bona traffic.. The paperwork and the logistics were handled by Kai and she was readily available by phone. I would not hesitate to recommend Euro Flooring and certainly would use them again. At first it was difficult to get hold of them by phone but I was persistent and once we established contact it went very well.

It was great! They had no problem coming on short notice to refinish my coop's floors. They were efficient, clean and very polite.

He was a nice man but he made it difficult because he didn’t want to move any of the furniture. He wasn’t flexible and I thought his prices were a little high. The reason we didn’t go with him was because he wouldn’t move the furniture; other than that I would have given him a try. Moving the furniture should be part of the service. A lot of other people who gave us quotes were happy to move the furniture. I was physically unable to move the furniture so I was unable to use him. He wasn't accommodating.

They did a nice job, they were prompt, thorough, they cleaned up and their price was good. I would recommend them. They weren't always that easy to get a hold of and there was some confusion, but once they got here they did a good job. They were on time once we established that.

I am very satisfied with the job. Although I had many staple & nail marks from the carpeting that was removed the finished floors look beautiful. I had 3 estimates & Marcin was the only company that the owner actually does the work. Marcin & his men were very professional, hard working & reliable. The job took 2 full days as promised. They were very neat & the waterborne product they used had no lasting odor. I would highly recommend Euro Floors.

Marcin had previously (Sep 2007) refinished the floors in our living room, dining room, office, hall (550 sq ft.) and 12 stair treads. As before, Marcin was very courteous and explained in detail how he would do the job. We scheduled a date, they arrived on time and completed the job in 3 days, as promised. At the start, I told Marcin that I would pay him an extra $200 if he took extra care and did not disturb the walls and moldings. The floors (and walls) look great. With the kitchen floor, there was a challenge because the beams in the hall were a quarter inch higher than those in the kitchen. Marcin added shims in the kitchen and did extra sanding on the last board in the hall. The result was very smooth, truly a work of art by a superb craftsman.

They did a GREAT job! After getting seven estimates, I chose Eurofloors for the following reasons: Marcin, who gave the estimate, would do the actual work (along with an assistant); he seemed very knowledgeable; the estimate was a fair price (and completed at the estimate visit); and they used a dustless system by (Bona). Scheduling and asking questions before the work was performed was greatly simplified because they have someone (Kai) answering the phone which greatly facilitated communication. (This is the only company of those I interviewed who operated this way). They put down three samples of stain color and then mixed two colors to get the exact effect we we looking for. They were delayed on a previous job and started a half day later than scheduled, but let us know about that and finished on schedule. My only concern was that they might not have left enough time for drying between the coats of the water-based polyurethane, especially since it was very humid weather. However, Marcin reassured me and the floors came out better than I could have ever imagined.

Right from the beginning, Dealing with Kai and Marcin was an absolute pleasure. I believe I initiated my first contact with Euro Floors via email at 9 pm. The very next morning I received a call from Kai to talk about the job and set up a time for Marcin to come out and look at the job. We set an evening when he could stop by. Unfortunately, he had to reschedule that meeting, but Kai called first thing that morning to give me notice that another job was going to run late and we rescheduled.That date came and Marcin was right on time, if not 5 minutes early. He measured and assessed the floor which was not only 65 years old, but had stain and urethane from when I did the floor myself. The stain and urethane was on thick and Marcin was the only person who saw the floor, who said that it was going to take a lot of sanding to get the floor nice, but that it can be done. He answered all my questions at the time and explained different urethane finishes and gave me a quote. As it turned out the lowest of the 3 which I received.I called Kai to set up the work. We scheduled the date and she kept in touch during the wait for the work.( The wait was by my choice, They could have done the work earlier). I had many conversations with Kai and asked a lot of questions. She is very knowledgeable and if she didn't know the answer she would ask. She also handled the insurances needed by my very picky coop. The day came to work, Marcin was right on time. (One thing that was important to me was that the person I hired actually was here doing the work and not off site supervising other people who did the work) He had offered in the very beginning to show us 3 sample stains so we could pick out the right color. About 5 hours after he started sanding he was able to do just that. He was on time ever day and the work was just unbelievable. His time estimate was 2-3 days, depending on the weather and he finished in the morning of the third day right on time. I could not believe that my 65 year old floor could look as good as a brand new floor right out of the box. The color was perfect and the grain shown through as if my floor was a piece of fine furniture.All of the products he used had no fumes and none of my neighbors even knew they were staining or sealing the floor.Doing a wood floor is messy, but all we did was wipe the walls down. They had a little dust on them. We had sealed our closets and spare room to make sure that dust would not get on our belongings and closets, Marcin said they would have done all that but we felt better doing it ourselves. Marcin is a true craftsman. My floor looks perfect and I love it. Do not hesitate to call him. You too will love your floor as much as I do. They are just perfect.

Marcin was fantastic. He was very professional. I was very happy when the work was done. The floors look impeccable, and they were stained to the exact color/finish i wanted. He also installed new oak saddles on the door ways. They were very clean, and cleaned up after themselves everyday. It gave my apartment a upscale look. I have to re-do my kitchen and i will use Marcin again. I also recommended Marcin to a co-worker who wants to get her floors ripped out and install reclaimed wood floors.

I called Euro Floors after reviewing them on Angie's List. I asked for an estimate and was told someone would be working on it and would get back to me shortly. After a day, I called back to follow up and was told my estimate wasn't ready, it was still being worked on but it would be ready that day and someone would call me back. No one ever called back.

Marcin & Daniel tore out the old carpeting. They moved furniture into adjacent room. Floors were prepared for sanding. Nail holes & screws were filled. Warped & buckled sections of floors were evened out. More sanding, scraping & prepping. New red oak saddles were installed. Sealer coat & 2 coats of Bona Mega waterborne finish were applied. Job took three days to complete.

They did a beautiful job on our floors. We had hired someone before him to do the floors and they did a terrible job, so we brought five people in to give us quotes and Marcine stood out from the crowd - he works like an artist to problem solve trouble spots in a way that will look best. His price was fair, there were no surprises, and he was there the entire time overseeing the job. Clean up was immaculate. I would definitely use him again in the future.

They are okay except the boards should have been more professionally installed as they are not snug like they should be. Everything else is fine.

We had a great experience with them. They were very professional and arrived on time. They were awesome and I would use them again.

The young man was 2 hours late, i did not like his approach.They were professional at some point, but i would not use their service again.

The actual work done was excellent. The only complaint i have is with the customer service. The receptionist told me the job would be one day and she also said it would start between 8:30-9. I got there later (my fault) and Marcian said i was supposed to be there at 8. He also said it would be a two day job. I suggested that Kai should confirm date and time of job the day before, but Marcian rudely told me he had no time to do that. He said the job was confirmed the previous week (i was actually the one who called to confirm date). This would save problems like this from happening again.

Marcine and his assistant were always very prompt and worked very hard to complete the job as planned and in the time that was estimated. Kai, the office manager, was also very efficient and responsive with questions that I had and at scheduling around my calendar.

I was told they would call to set up an appointment and they never called.

We got four estimates for the job and the price we received from Marcin at Euro Floors was fair and competitive. Throughout the project Marcin and his assistant were very professional. They were prompt and neat. The method that they use really minimized the amount of dust and respiratory irritants produced during the process. We had a particular problem bridging the floors in the dining room with those in the kitchen. Marcin provided a solution that was far more creative and pleasing than suggested by any of the competitors. The finished floors are beautiful. We couldn't be happier than we are with the entire project. This is a first-rate company, we will certainly recommend Euro Floors to our friends and family.

In a 2-bedroom co-op just purchased in Jackson Heights, Queens, there was a small section of hardwood floor in a foyer that had been repaired and was unstained which made it stand out from the rest of the apartment's floor. It was a small refinishing job that other flooring companies did not find it economical to undertake and advised that it would be difficult to match the existing shade of the older stain. Marcin came promptly, gave a reasonable estimate that was less than another company's minimum, and indicated he would be able to match the existing stain 80-90% but to our satisfaction and that the work would only take half a day using a quick-drying, non-fume finish. He then followed through the next week providing within 3 days all the certifications and insurance paperwork the co-op managing agents required and showed up on the appointed date exactly on time. He personally explained the assignment to his assistant and left the one-man job to him. His assistant was polite, professional, and extremely competent in sanding, selecting the appropriate matching stain, and refinishing the appropriate portion of the floor. All throughout the process, Euro-Floors' office contact Kai was exceedingly pleasant, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. She was always available and provided all the assistance that made the experience practically carefree. We are 100% satisfied and would use Euro Floors again in an instant. We highly recommend them.
