Best Way Chimney

They inspected my chimney and told me that it cannot be cleaned now since it requires new liner. They inspected my dryer vent and told me that it doesn't need cleaning. They also suggested that I could ask a refund since no work was done. I liked their professionalism and will do the chimney repair with them.

Called ahead. Arrived on time. Completed the job efficiently. Gave me an Angies List discount. So many were price gouging at that time. I was impressed by his honesty and plain style of doing business.

They were excellent across the board. I will use them every time.

I initially ordered a chimney sweep as we had issues with our boiler shutting off and assumed it was due to a dirty chimney. When they came they checked everything and actually told me that the chimney was clean and didn't require a cleaning. He said I would be reimbursed for the chimney sweep special I purchased. They asked me why I booked to get my chimney cleaned and I explained to them my boiler shut down issue during the winter and they checked the flue vents for free to make sure air flow from my hot water heater was flowing correctly. They detected an issue with my hot water heater flue vent in that the slope was not steep enough causing some gasses to come back in the house. He advised that I replace the unit for a low boy unit that way we can reroute the flue vent and get the proper slope since the other option would be to break up the chimney and it would cost me a lot more money. I thanked them for their honesty and have contacted my own hvac person to replace my hot water heater with a tankless unit instead as it was something I was already considering. They also mentioned that cold winding nights can cause wind to go down the chimney and trigger the boiler switch to shut off the boiler, so as a proactive measure I requested that they install a spinning chimney cap which prevents air from coming into the chimney and instead creates an out draft that helps the chimney vent easier. I would highly recommend these guys as they never tried taking advantage of me and instead were very honest and did great work installing the new chimney cap.

Before I joined Angies list we called another well known chimney service we were told they could not clean the chimney because there was broken clay liners and I should have them replaced . I joined Angies list and called bestway,they came on time inspected the chimney,I was told there was no broken clay liners and the chimney was did not need cleaning .It is a nice feeling when you talk to honest tradsman.

They were fine. They did a good job. Nothing was out of the ordinary. They pointed out a few things that I should look out for down the road with some of the putting of the cement on the top of the chimney. They were professional and polite. It was all good. I would use them again.

Examined the chimney, and discovered the liner needed replacement Although I was originally skeptical that a cleaning job had turned into something much larger & more expensive, the man who came showed me exactly what was wrong- pieces of the clay liner were lying at bottom of chimney- and explained what needed to be done They had a liner on the truck, and were able to complete the job right that morning Not inexpensive, but don't expect to do this job too often. After some later work on the furnace we identified a problem, and Roger the owner of the company contacted me personally and rectified it to my complete satisfaction.

They were unusually professional. I felt very confident in their performance. They explained thoroughly what they found and made recommendations to prevent excessive build-up along the walls of the chimney.

Best Way was EXCELLENT -- very happy that we contacted them. We are first time home owners/buyers -- and first time fireplace owners. Best Way come out to take a look at the Chimney and fireplace to see if there was anything we needed done before we started using it -- they were polite, punctual and understanding. They walked me through how to work the fireplace and confirmed it was OK for the season. Im not sure whether is was that they could clearly see I was stressed out from having to watch a newborn while working at home or because there were no issues, but there was no charge for the 10-15 min visit. They now have a customer for life -- thanks!

The customer service representative was very polite. Roger came to evaluate the work that had to be done, and scheduled me for the week after. He came as promised early in the morning and even had some good ideas on the type of chimney cap that I had in mind. The work was finished promptly, and done the right way. Very Knowledgeable about his work and it shows. Clean everything up after the work was done. I will definitely use Best Way again in the future and for maintaining the chimney.

Roger showed up on time and was very professional and pleasant. After he inspected our chimney(what we thought was our chimney), he found that it actually was an old fashion stove (our house was built in 1958), so it would have needed to be prepared/fixed into a chimney. While he was able to provide us with a quote for what he would do, we at this time (we just bought the house and got married) are unable to use him for the services he would do for us. Should he or the company in the future offer a deal for what we need we would definitely use them as we found Roger to be honest with us.

Roger was amazing from beginning to end. He makes you feel extremely comfortable from the first phone call and takes the time to explain everything to you. He was reasonably priced and very detailed and did beautiful work. I would highly recommend hiring him!

When I called and told them where I was located they informed me when they would next be in the area and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the inspection they contacted me to inform me that they were running late and provided me with an eta. On arrival the representative was polite and courteous and proceeded to inspect the chimney from inside and out asking questions about usage and what fuel type was burnt. I was informed that no cleaning was necessary and was given some useful information about maintenance that I could perform and notified when I should consider contacting them again for a future inspection and clean. There was no charge as no cleaning was required.

Everything went extremely well. I had no problems scheduling the estimate. The company was accommodating in terms of getting me an estimate as soon as possible. I then went through with the service and was scheduled for the next day. Roger could not have been nicer. All of the services were explained with clarity, and there was absolutely no pressure to buy or do anything else that was unnecessary. I would recommend Best Way to anyone and everyone that needs any work done. They are a quality company.

Roger and his helper arrived about a half hour early to do this job..He cheerfully went over the details of the job, went over the original estimate and setup to do the job. At this point I mentioned a new problem involving a leak in my basement after I had left the sprinkler on overnight ,in the area of the chimney. I wanted this corrected, figuring it would be at additional cost. Upon inspection Roger claimed my leak was caused by a crack in my foundation at the base of the chimney. This had been hidden by overgrown plants and was not noticeable at the time of his original inspection and estimate.. I told Roger I would understand there would be an additional charge for this since it was not part of the original estimate, but he said he would repair this at no additional cost and on the same day. He carefully removed the plants that were masking the defect and did the necessary masonary repairs. The entire job was done in about an hour, including the original repair and the new found damage. The cleanup was complete and spotless and the work performed was explained in detail to me. Although he would not charge me for the additional work, I decided to compensate him with a little bonus..And well deserved !! If you need a good, honest and punctual chimney company look no further than Best Way Chimney !!!

Very happy with the work and highly recommend. Weather was a factor causing provider to have to cancel a prior appointment. Today, provider arrived on time, did as much as he could before rains came and returned a short while later to complete the job. All in all, it was worth a lengthy wait as the weather would not cooperate. Very professional and definitely recommend to anyone needing chimney repairs.

Roger was a pleasure to work with. My chimney was falling apart and now it is not. I actually never even had to meet him. This transaction was handled over the phone. He was conscientious enough to make sure he scheduled this work so the weather would not have a negative impact on the cement he was using. I was very satisfied with their work. They were very reliable. These are good people. I was happy with everything. I would dfeinitely refer them to anyoen I know.

Roger took pix of the chimney from the roof to show me the details of what needed to be done. I had no idea that my chimney had no liner! In the winter, when the heat was on, I was smelling a faint chemical odor when I would come into the house which had been making me nervous (although I don't remember if I told him this). Roger informed me that over time I had so much moisture inside the chimney that not only did I have a large vine growing in and up the chimney, but that moisture creates bacteria which could possibly eat away tiny holes in the bricks. I suspected that's what had been happening, that the exhaust wasn't going entirely up the chimney, but leaking into my house! Anyway, Roger and another worker fixed the whole thing beautifully and cleanly and showed me their progress as they worked. Additionally, Roger had me come outside and gave me some free advice concerning a swarm of ants that were around the base of the chimney and that the soil was eroding from that side of my house and how that could be remedied. I really appreciated his kind advice and since then have hired an Angie's List exterminator to solve the ant problem and my gardener to remedy the other problems. I would recommend Best Way to everyone needing chimney service. They are excellent!!

We scheduled a date and time for the work to be done that is convenient for me given my work and vacation commitments and I look forward to Best Way coming back to do the work!

Originally, I had an appointment on 7/20 from 1 to 2 pm for the estimate. Around 5 pm (I think) on Friday, 7/19, Roger called to see if he can come now to take a look. There was no problem for me and he was knocking on my door like 5 minutes later. After visual checking from the ground, Roger gave me a quote for $110 to install a new cap. He came to install the cap next day and everything was good. I'll use this company again.
