Description of Work: Andy replaced bifold doors that were originally installed wrong in my basement. The work came out great and the time estimate he gave me was in the ballpark of the actual time it took. I would recommend him to others looking for handyman services.

Description of Work: I phoned this provider three separate times and left messages for him. He NEVER had the decency to return my calls. I joined Angie's list so that I wouldn't have these issues. And still....I'm paying for Angie's list and calling and recalling only to have these people not return my calls. FFFFFF for you.

This message is for all those members who I was unable to call back. Please except my apologies. Thank you for taking the time to post your rating on my company. I am so sorry for not returning your calls. Unfortunately we had an electrical blackout in my neighborhood and all my messages have been erased from my answering phone. I have been working on many other projects for other Angies members. I just helped a gentleman who is getting married this weekend and his friend trying to get a sound system working by installing the wires in the attic. Well, it seems he sliped on the joist and went thru the drywall ceiling, causing a major hole. Hearing in his voice that he needed immediate rescue, I dropped all that I was doing to take care of matters. He and fiance were so grateful because their new home was going to be seen by family from out of town. As for helping you with your doors, May I say that there are hundreds of reliable contractors listed with Angies that you could of also called. I know that reading my excellant rating with Angies list made you call me. I can only say that I'm sorry but I have no control over nature. Thanks again for using Angies list, don't worry about the few dollars that you paid to become a member. it is so Very Worth It. May I also say in closing, that you could of also emailed me for a responce. Prefered method. All my AOL hack problems have been corrected, if this is why you didn't use this method. I did inform you that I am home after 8 pm and you can always reach me by email Acarp4@aol.com. I do work late into the evenings since I like to put in at least 10 hour days to speed up the jobs. I have found that in the past some clients don't like late calls. I make it a practice not to conduct other business calls while working for my clients since that I work on a time and material basis. It wouldn't be fare to them. Perhaps you can find it in your heart to forgive me for the inconvenience you had experienced. I can understand why that you wanted me to do your home improvement project, since that I have for the fourth year received Angie's highest prestigious Super Service Award and nominated again for the Honor Award. May I also inform you that you can also call NARI ( National Association of The Remodeling Industry at (631) 673-6274) for other licenced and insured contractors, which I am also a member. As you are also aware that I have been receiving Angies List highest Super Service Award for the last three years. Just a note that a rating of (D or C) is justified for a non call. Project looks great.
Description of Work: Andy is reliable, easy to contact and honest. He built a 10" closet in a bedroom for me. Work was professional. He took care of the whole job, including electrical. He recommended a company to finish the job with custom made sliding doors. He has a huge knowledge base. He is not one of these guys who goes home at 3pm, he will work long hours, and get the job done.

Description of Work: Out of three carpenters I called in the last week, Andy was the only one who returned my call, and he did it within 24 hours of my leaving a message! Unfortunately, I live in Freeport, which is an incoporated village that requires workmen to have separate permits other than those issued by Nassau County. Although Andy is licensed in Nassau County, he isn't in Freeport. But hey, kudos to him for at least returning my call. Thanks Andy!
