+ -1 moreAs this job has not as of yet commenced because the appointment date has not yet arrived, I can not give a review for a job not yet completed. The only reason I'm filling out this questionnaire now is because the "Angies List" website continues to send me messages asking that I give them a report on Doug Lamnek Plumbing. I figure the only way to stop the continued annoyance on the paart of "Angies List" is to give them something in writing, even if it doesn't answer the question on "how good was Doug Lamnek Plumbing"! §§§ As soon as I can reasonably get the time to give a good review for Angies List on Doug Lamnek Plumbing, I will do so. Prodding me at every moment will not m.ake me do it any sooner.
Description of Work: After contacting Doug Lamnek Plumbing in early June about winterizing our seasonal home before we leave in late August, he asked for a description of the Premises, how many bathrooms, how many sinks, how many levels, what kind of radiators and what kind of water supply. He asked about the square footage of the home. After a couple of moments to do some figuring, he then informed us that he would come to do the winterizing but to recall him the month to 3 weeks before we were preparing to leave. We've recently called Doug Lamnek Plumbing on 8/04/14 about doing the job in another 20 days. He remembered the conversation we'd previously had in June and concurred that the price given in June would still be the same in August. He agreed to the early hour appointment I'd requested and when he finishes the winterizing job, I'll be very happy to inform everyone via "Angies List" the results once it's accomplished.

+ -1 moreWe needed a plumber on a Saturday. Although Doug wasn't available. He spend a great deal of his time trying to find someone to help us. In addition, he offered to come on a Sunday because he would be available the next morning. His quote was reasonable and he went above and beyond. Its a shame he was busy, we would call him without hesitation next time.

+ -1 moreDoug was referred to me by a friend. The house had been winterized for over a year. The pipes and the furnace had been drained and shut down. It was still winter outside when everything was being turned on again, so it was vital that the plumber show up the same day as the heating company to turn everything on again. In talking with Doug over the phone he assured me he would coordinate the details with the heating and oil company as I could not be there. He did just that and more, He checked all the pipes in the house, made sure all the faucets and drains were working properly, repaired a couple of leaks and installed a new water filter. He did a very thorough, careful, check of everything plumbing in the house. He was prompt, courteous, kind and humorous (so I was told by my cousin who oversaw everything that day). I would definately use him again.
Description of Work: The house had been winterized Doug turned on the water throughout the house . Inspected all the pumbing and repaired any and all problems and leaks.
