We have had them for years. They are a very good outfit and they do very good work.

What they did was so horrible they stop follow up. They were contracted to pull up a section of the existing lawn and lay down top soil and seed the area.

They do come out four times a year. They usually call a couple of days before they come to let you know they are coming. They are pretty good.

Gary Schermerhorn, the manager was present to make sure we were fully satisfied with the corrective measures of repositioning and straightening of the tree. Gary is a true professional as well as his team that were present that day. This was the first time I had an issue with the service that they originally provided in the fall of 2014 and Gary fully understood it was a quality issue that needed to be corrected.

They were prompt and curteous. The only complaint was that they started grinding up branches that we had arranged ahead of time to keep. We had to tell them three times what wood we wanted to keep. They were fast and clean though and the job was done well.

The work & service was perfect!! This is our second time doing business with The Davey Tree Experts-just phenomenal! From the initial phone call to arrange a visit and estimate to the clean up, everything was flawless!! Our first meeting with Bryant was great, he was very professional, knowledgable and friendly. He took the time to evaluate our situation and provided many options. The service was scheduled within two weeks of our estimate. On the day of the service, the 2 man crew arrived on time, representing the company well-friendly & professional. They did an amazing job removing all the trees from a not so accessible area of our yard. The 2 men worked together and amazed us with their skills. We greatly appreciate their work! Job well done!! I am certain we will be using Davey Tree again!!

Wonderful job. So important to take care of our trees. And the timing for pruning crabapple trees is important. Very well done. They will do a deep root feeding next month for an additional $90.

Everybody was very professional and friendly when making appointments and during the consultation. During the consultation, I was given good information about the product, along with recommendations for where to spray the incecticide. We were worried about our small children and also some small herb gardens we had. The technician promised to avoid areas I pointed out. The price was fair. My husband put stakes in the ground and used a marker to write "do not spray" - just to remind the technician to avoid the area. We requested that we be home during the treatment so we could oversee the work (only because of our paranoia), but the work was done without us and we never knew which areas were treated or not. We made it very clear that we wanted to be there. This was the 2nd time that this happened with this provider, so we will not hire them again for this service. However, we used Davey Tree for tree removal, moving and relocating shrubs, and some other minor landscaping for the project, and they were awesome. I would hire them again for that type of service.

This company was very professional to deal with. They originally stated it would take 6-8 weeks to complete the work because of a backlog but ended up finding a gap in their workload and completed the job a few days after signing the contract. The cleanup of the debris was so well done that I couldn't even tell that they had taken trees down out all when returning home.

All staff that we spoke with are very knowledgable and recommended deep root fertilization along with root crown girdling excavation. We will wait until Spring.

Awesome. I called and rec'd a quote within a couple of days. They were the lowest of 3 quotes and my landscaper 'heard' good things about them. I engaged them and within 1 week both trees were removed and stumps ground down. They cleaned up everything...couldn't even tell they were there. Great job and will definitely use them in the future.

It turned out excellent. We were very pleased with how neat they were, how well they cleaned up and how prompt they were. We just had them come and do an estimate for us a couple of weeks ago, so we have them all set up again.

They were excellent, and did a superb job. They took down 6 trees and did pruning of all other trees. It was a little expensive, but for what they did, it was a good price, and well worth the money. They sent an arborist out first to look over the property and tell me what needed to be done, and the guys that they sent out to do the work were very knowlegable.

This is the third time I’ve used them. They are real good! They are prompt, their prices are very competitive, and after they leave, you don’t even know they were there. They rake and sweep everything and they even sweep out on the street to make sure they don’t leave any sawdust. They are really neat! They are professional and polite.

They did a superb job and I'd recommend them tremendously. I think it was under $1300 for bringing in a monster crane, a huge tipper and taking out a tree whose trunk at the base is somewhere between 36 and 42 inches, a big tree. They are very careful. They leave a very cleaned up area. They don't leave you with any sort of mess at all which is nice to know. They are very good at getting into very awkward places. They are very careful and very safe. Their concern for their workmen was very high because the work they do was highly dangerous. It's an excellent company. They do an excellent job. Sometimes you may have to wait. I have them over to give me the price on the tree. They had a line up of people. It would be at least six weeks before they could get to it. But, they called me ahead and let me know when they could get there and they gave me the price and that's it. You know when they're coming. Obviously, they look at these projects and they can't work in a thunderstorm. They can't work in this when it's pouring rain. So, they have to schedule things and they let you know. They are very clear about what they can do and what they will have to do. And as I said, they did everything amazingly well. They cleaned it all over the house without damaging our solar volt at the roof. That was a whacking big crane. It needs to be kind of balanced very well and they know what they're doing. If they didn't, there would have been massive damage and people could have been hurt very very easily. They walked around and they looked at stuff and they were saying this is not going to be a simple job. They made it happen and they let you know what they need and I don't question their price. Their estimate is excellent. Their estimate of time is excellent. Anything that takes longer, there is a good reason.

They were great. They did a fabulous job, they did not damage any other tree or structure, they did very good. They were in the neighborhood, and so I think we good a better deal getting them that way.

Initial tree removal was good. Second step was fertilization, and that went well. Third step was stump removal and this is where things went bad. I understand that dig safe NY has to come in and mark stuff up, so the time delay gets a pass. But the guy showed up, ground about half of what needed to be done by the estimate. Called my salesman, got him back to finish what he missed. He comes back and does a good job on the back yard but misses THE largest stump that was left in the back yard. Called salesman a third time, and finally, all the stumps are gone. Now, we can move on to landscaping. Guy worked hard, but after the fact, I saw that a good portion of the mulch he was supposed to rake up was left behind and was stopping the grass seed from growing properly. I took out my own rake and raked up a full lawn bag of mulch that was left over. Then, went to home depot and bought 75.00 worth of grass seed and finished the job. I am going out today to buy more seed to seed the spots in the back yard too because they weren't seeded. They cut me a break on the price because of the stump grinding fiasco, so I'll cut them a break in return. Make sure you are very specific about what you want done, and make sure you are home when they are working. I am a shift worker and wasn't around to point out things as we went along because I was sleeping. I would use them again, but I would be more on top of everything that was going on, and would make sure I was here when they were. Overall? Bad experience.

They were able to come out quickly after calling them and they arrived promptly to the appointment. I was very happy with them and they are good at what they do. However, it took about a year to see the results. I am pleased with the service and they seem to be thriving now. I have hired them for a project that is currently ongoing.

He tied me up for over two months while I could have had someone else do the project.
