They were wonderful, did everything they said they would do, and were prompt.

I had used them before for tree trimming so this time I just called and asked for a dead tree to be removed. They called and set up a date within about two weeks as I recall and had the work done on time while I was away. All went well as expected and all parts of the tree were removed when I got home. This did not include stump removal. It was a medium sized tree and I have no idea if this was a reasonable price but it seemed to be about what I expected.

The crew showed up on time. Two men did all the work in a little more than half a day. Assuming 9 hours of work this comes to a price of about 144 per hour. We attempted competitive bids but never got a call back from the competition and since we have an existing relationship with Davey's we went with them. The job was done well and the men left fhe site spotless. They were working in sun on an extremely hot day and still got the job done quickly and efficiently. When I returned home from work, I noticed that one small oak tree had been left standing and that a couple of the branches had not been removed as promised. Given the amount of tasks assigned, I could understand the oversight. I called the representative who wrote up the proposal and the situation was taken care of within a couple of days.

After the ice storm of 2008 I contracted with Davy Tree Company to remove dead branches and in general lighten up the canopy of a large 80-foot oak tree in my front yard. They have also, on two occasions, removed dead or dying trees in my backyard in the vicinity of electrical wires. They are trained to do that. This past spring, I called Ed Kohler, a very knowledgeable Davey tree expert, to evaluate sluggish leaf growth in the 80-foot oak tree due to some root disturbance done when I had a gas line run to my house. He examined the tree and prescribed a root fertilization program that apparently is correcting the problem.

I have used Davey many times. This was a relatively small job. The estimate was competitive. Two men came at the scheduled time, the crane operator and the man who climbs the trees. Both were very competent, efficient, and professional. They removed the double tree very quickly, leaving me some wood as I had requested, and cleaning up very well afterward. I was very pleased with their work.

There was a little mis-communication but it went pretty well overall.

A Davey employee was sent to my home for an estimate within a day of calling to schedule. The man was very friendly and professional. Within a week of getting the estimate the tree was down, a few days later they returned to grind the stump. I was very pleased with the service as well as the price, I was expecting to get a higher estimate and I was happily surprised with actual price. I have used another tree service before and was never as pleased with the final product as I am now. I WILL be calling Davey for all my future Tree Pruning needs.

I was very satisfied. Davey responded quickly to my request for an estimate, and arrived when expected on the service date. Crew was professional and friendly, and completed work in a timely fashion. I would use Davey again.

They get the job done for a fair price. Most importantly our trees are healthy!

We have used him for years and he is marvelous. We have had him do a lot and we are very pleased. I think that their prices are quite reasonable. They are fully insured. They are very, very good. When we had some trees removed, they had to come in between two very large maples. They were very careful. They know their job. I would ask questions, they would answer with no problem. Most of the time, their cost is below the estimate.

They did an excellent job. They did a good job on the cleanup. They arrived on time. The price was excellent.

The work was good, my wife was very interested in getting this done.I was very happy with the work they did. They did what I had hoped and expected of them. The trees were shaped very nicely. I don't have anything to compare the work with, but I was very happy with the work. I find no problems with the work the company did. The arborist came and sketched out what they would do, and then the tree cutters came out and did the work. They were a little late on getting there, but they called us and let us know. I can't ask for any better than that! It was a fair price as well.

I like everything about them. I give them positive ratings in every category. They might not be as expensive in their field as the others. So I don’t know about that.

I would recommend them to others. They have not completed the job yet, but they are very timely and very good at answering questions. They go through the process. They gave us a quote first. We were not sure what we wanted them to do, so they gave us a menu option to choose from. We are having some extensive work done on six trees. They are very responsive to questions. I don’t know what they are doing when it comes to trees. The guy is very good about educating me about what is going on and what is it that they need to do. They are very honest and knowledgeable. I think they are reasonable.

On time, did all work described in the estimate, were receptive to add'l requests while on-site. Could have found someone cheaper, but no one better/safer/more professional.

after coming out and giving a variety of estimates, I decided to have the tree removed. They arrived when they said they would to remove the tree and left no trace of their work. The cost was exactly what they quoted.

Professionally and quickly I was pleased with the result.

The reason why I went with them over and above than everybody else because unlike the others, they were both bonded and insured. They guaranteed to clean up. They guaranteed a crane to take this big tree down. The property was left the same way except for the tree. They did not influence the traffic because I live on a small street. There is a school down at the end, and the school bus goes down. The guy who came to take the stump out spent good four hours here. He took everything away with dirt into it, filled it, and leveled it off. They are little pricey; but I got what I paid for. They were over and above the other ones. Their professionalism was the top quality.

We've been using Davey Tree Experts for a number of years and been very satisfied with their knowledge and services. Estimate for above job given 02/16/11 and job performed next day. Having it done in the winter is easier on our lawn and gardens plus Davey offers a discount so it's less expensive. Two men arrived about 8 am and left at 3:20 pm. (We have large, mature trees requiring climbing to prune, etc.) Job and clean-up done to our satisfaction.

I have used their services a lot previously. Their price was reasonable although I have not compared it with other service providers. They did a good job. They were reliable and prompt. They cleaned up after themselves. I would be using them again next week.

I had them come out to look at two trees that I thought were diseased. They were so courteous and professional--and I thought the price was so fair--that I decided to use them to remove the trees even though I have another tree person I had happily used for years. The work was excellent and I found them to be one of the most responsive companies I've ever worked with. I had to call them a few times and I always had a call back within a few hours.

Dan Mcgraff, an arborist , came to analyze our beloved redbud tree because it was starting to split in a few places. He advised us that we could, if comfortable with it, do it ourselves but because we are attached to this tree we wanted an expert to work on it if it were to be saved. He scheduled the work to be done in September to try to avoid any warm weather infections common to the redbud. Lo, and behold, during a huge downpour yesterday the tree up and split with a huge section on the ground. There was no time to wait. I emailed Dan at Davey's and left a frantic message on his voicemail. At 7 am he called us. At 2pm he showed up and worked on our tree, bolting and wiring it with the utmost care and attention.It was a three hour job in blistering heat and he was so careful, pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough. He had done some research on the species and had an excellent grasp on how to proceed. I cannot say if our tree will survive. Only time will tell, but I can say that now it has a fighting chance and we are so grateful for the care and thoughtful work ethic brought to this project. We highly recommend him and Davey's.
